    Please take the following with a pinch of salt: Elena Vaitsekhovskaya, a great Arutyunyan/Chen lover, is reportedly saying the Lifetime Achievement is going to Kurt Browning. I’ve no idea how she might have learnt it. She is known to have made up stuff before now. But if true, it’s setting together in a rather neat jigsaw. I might be into conspiration theories a little though.

    Come on, folks, discussing a random sports blog is wasting your time. Piseev’s message is different. It’s sorta funny to see the other federations blissfully ignore the whole affair though. The circus is given any consequence only in Russia, isn’t it?

    Actually, I WANT Yuzu not to get any of those shitty awards.

    The awards won’t stop being ridiculous even if they give all of them to Yuzu. They don’t add anything to his fame and his recognition. Mind you, I don’t mind giving awards to costume makers, or choreographers, or coaches. But with skaters it’s just redundant.

    It’s just hilarious because Alina’s fans in Russia believe her popularity is on a par with Yuzu’s all over the world, so they are brimming with righteous indignation right now. That’s what a couple of decently skated programs at important competitions can do to people’s minds. The Award circus is getting far too attention in Russian forums. Hope most take it for what it is - just a ridiculous idea from the start.

    hmmm. I will be on my summer holiday. I suppose I can take some time off skating? I am having enormous fun at Russian forums which are taking the whole circus way too seriously.

    So basically, they want North American market back, I guess, so they are throwing something North Americans are supped to like, perhaps? For me, the mere idea is a horror. I still shudder at having pulled through Laureus last year. Such a waste of time. I admit, I might know more people this time round. But compared to Laureus, this has got a lot tackier feel to it.
