    It seems that she overtrained a bit after that two week gap without training, and pulled a muscle, but that’s nothing too serious. There seem to be some other relatively minor issues, too, not anything too drastic. What seems to be promising is that Plushenko has a whole lot of medical staff working for his club, they say, so now they are watching Alena. Sasha and Alena are training separately, since they are quite in different places as far as readiness to do things are concerned. Such are the reports. Basically, Plushenko says Alena is starting from scratch. Ok, hope they get to work well together.

    Concerning Alena Kostornaia, there are some insider information that quite a set of medical specialists are working with her. I don’t know how much credit can be given to that.

    That’s not for certain, people just think they might be working on a new program!

    Had to remove a couple of posts, someone put out Kostornaia training with Plushenko and Rozanov and even creating a new program, but they quickly removed the posts in that Instagram. The music is likely to be this - lol, could it be a message? Here’s the insta video

    Just in - they say that athletes can only get to the Nationals by going through two competitions at domestic Cup of Russia. The top Russian athletes will be allowed to take part in Rostelecom Cup. So the dates are September 18-22 in Syzran October 10-13 in Moscow October 23-27 in Sochi November 8-12 in Kazan December 5-8 in Moscow. The Nationals are December 23-27 in Chelyabinsk.

    Skaters have to represent a club and their affiliation can only be changed within a short period from March to late May. So that’s the rub, but these problems have been solved before, no doubt they will be solved here once again. Even if Alena represents Sambo, she can train with Plushenko and Rozanov.

    Evgeni Plushenko insists that the transfer was Alena’s initiative and they had never met or talked until two weeks before she did move over.     Oh, given the light-hearted approach to the pandemic by American authorities and people at large, I think they will congregate in numbers at the competition!

    He’s unlucky. Or... lucky - he can just skate at domestic competitions. why don’t they just cancel the whole circus until 2021 at least?

    I am always afraid of being disappointed by hearing the melodies I am used to in the arena. Not that I mind that much Russian OST being used, actually. But I wonder how many of them are strong enough to pass that test.
