5 quads layout with two 3A and one 3Lo. But quite unlikely you know, he said 4A will be the first jump and it is not likely to have a stable 4-1-4, in second half of the program... But we can dream if he has done everything he wants (i.e. a beautiful 4A), maybe choose a competition and give 4-1-4 a try!

It's nice of you and everyone who are still willing to voice out the scoring problem. I know it's the right thing to do.

For the media stuff, I only heard about the NBC article and JW non-sense from some other fanyus, and I am quite indifferent to them. So it seems I did quite well. I unfollowed the ISU and Jacki* Won* twitter before free dance because I lost interest in the rest of the field. I understand there are many people in the world who have different tastes and preference that I don't understand. I know there is no way for us to change each other's mind, so I just avoid those people. I saved some time from reading all PR from the "real skating fans". I'm happy I did that. On the other hand, I'm under the impression that Japanese media is being more vocal about the scoring issue recently. This is some improvement. But TBH, if Yuzu no longer cares about his scoring or placement anymore (like he said in the interview), I wouldn't care either.

you know, it's not what he didn't do, but what JSF thinks he didn't do...

JSF is quoting “spin in one position with change of foot”, “no basic position on one foot for at least 2 revolutions”.

I think it’s not about that 3 revolution requirement. He definetely spinned for more than 3 revolutions after change of foot. The rule says you need to hold at least 2 revolutions in each variation to establish the variation. Yuzu tried sit sideways and sit behind variations after change of foot, and TP thinks neither hit 2 revolutions, so there is no valid sit variation after change of foot, which resulted in no value for the CSSp.

You know there is a set of rule for Yuzu, one set of rule for Chen and another set for the rest of the field.

JSF’s explanation was he didn’t hold either sit variation for two revolutions after change of foot.

Please try to watch Nathan in any fancam where you can see the entire rink. I watched his 2019 US Nationals FS and 2021 WC SP, he is obviously slow and with little ice coverage. And nothing is happening in between the jumps. I was once bored and tried to re-score his FS in the US Nationals this year. Before his 4S I unconsciously clicked fast-forward button (which is quite uncharacteristic for me when re-scoring programs) because literally there is nothing there. That button could save 5 seconds of my life, I sensed that. I watched 2019 GPF in Turin, but I couldn't give any impression of watching Chen's skating live. I don't feel anything in his FS and forgot it immediately after it's finished, although it is a "world record". For the SP, I remember I was shocked by the inflated score and said "Ehhh" when the score came out.

Actually figure skating is not popular in China. As far as I know, even Sui/Han are not well known athletes. The only way for them to become known to the public is to win the Olympics in Beijing. As CoC is not at all an important event in China, it is not possible for Yuma to become known by participating CoC. Considering how much Yuzuru is loved by Chinese fans, I sincerely wish the media won't compare him to Yuzu, as this would do him the least good.

The medalists of previous year's WC have the rights to choose the GP series they want to compete in, but they are not allowed to choose the same competition as other medalists. Like this year, Chen, Yuma and Yuzu are the medalists. Chen can choose two competitions first, then Yuma 2, and Yuzu will take the 2 left. But the host country can reject them, like in 2019, Chen is rejected by NHK. Normally athletes would avoid choosing back to back competitions and they prefer the location near their training bases.

In my personal ranking, Ten to Chi to 2020 JNats has already surpassed both 2015 Seimei technically and artistically, only little behind 18OG Seimei and 17WC Hope and Legacy (partly because they both mean a lot to a Fanyu) ... I can't even imagine how Ten to Chi to could grow to be better... It is already so perfect. It only needs a Big Event performance for legendary status.

About no flip or lutz in the program, I remember for both OP at JNat, he jumped lutz combo in the practice. So the jumps should be fine and nothing to worry about. (Edit: He jumped 3Lz-eu-3S on 24 and 26 Dec, and 3Lz on 25 Dec.) From Sponichi OP memo, date 25 Dec 2020 (https://www.sponichi.co.jp/sports/news/2020/12/25/kiji/20201225s00079000169000c.html) ▽8:33 3回転ルッツ。 This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].

I still think his ultimate goal is 4A, not Beijing. He mentioned (again) in post JNat interview that if it is not for 4A, he would not be competing. And even now he hasn’t confirmed anything about Beijing yet (that’s why he is asked this question in every competition). He also said in the post JNat interview that when he recover from the JNat tiredness he will again start to build his body for 4A. I don’t know whether he could win Beijing with 4A (no one knows who will be the winner anyhow), but his determination for 4A is unquestionable to me.

thanks for your sharing it is very interesting! maybe I can add some other points I found: 1. delayed single axel follow by twizzle into triple axel, I remember Kurt Browning commented that delay axel is how people used to learn axels. It is the starting point of triple axel. It represents a history of Axel (jump) evolution. 2. in the end, Yuzuru did one foot spin --> two-foot spin -->skate forward-->T-stop, that's how people start to learn figure skating. He rarely do two-foot spin but it is choreographed in Notte Stellata.
