  1. The banners are found! What a relief
  2. I hope he doesn't go if he's not 100%... but I also hope this injury is minor... really don't know what I want so I will just wait a few more days, pretending I didn't hear this news...
  3. I don't remember last two times but this time he really wrote a lot of comments to us. I still can't properly process the news, or his comments. I don't understand what he meant, or what this injury means to him, to us, to the figure skating world. TBH I'm terrified and just couldn't process anything. Reading all your discussions above is calming me down a bit. Hope I can come up with something meaningful soon.
  4. Russian stream their ice shows and local competitions on Youtube for free... why can't Japan do the same... I am willing to pay for the stream as long as there is no geo-block...
  5. I'm getting illusion of Yuzu with that music. I guess I have watched Seimei too many times...
  6. Her 4F edge was called clean and ur on second 4Lz was ignored. 4S is also kind of q (not called). It is understandable she just competed in the test skate and there is jet lag and 5-quads layout is really really challenging, but many problems already exist in test skate. Landing all jumps doesn't mean the program is clean...and doesn't mean the program is good. Good luck to her and pray for fair judging (as always).
  7. Year 2018 was a long time ago and things change fast. I only wish for his health and happiness if Yuzu chooses to compete in Beijing.
  8. Yuzu is a superstar in Winter Olympics, that's for sure. I'm not surprised that Beijing 2022 wants to promote their games with Yuzu, but the orgainzing committee does not represent people. The anti-Japanese vibe is very popular since the Tokyo Olympics. Yuzuru has so many Chinese fans, and fans are attacked because they dare to fave a Japanese more than the Chinese FS team. Yuzuru has also been attacked for ridiculous reasons, such as liking BTS (because BTS said something like they were sorry for the men and women who suffered in Korean War, in which SK fought against NK and China), and Yuzu's fans dare to call themselves "(Hanyu) Party Members" (considered as disrespectful to CCP, obviously they think there is only one party in the world). I didn't expect all these before Tokyo Olympics but patriotic netizens can become really crazy in a very short period of time. That's why sometimes I wish Yuzuru is not so well known in China. Probably those Chinese people who are not heard on the internet are still the majority, but sadly they are not heard and the language seen on the internet was scary. Regarding China's cracking down on celebrities that promote "unhealthy fandom behavior", according to my observation, their main targets were Korean idols and Chinese celebrities. I'm not aware of any Japanese stars influenced by this. Hong Kong is quite a different story from mainland China. HK people loves everything about Japan so there are many mega Japanese supermarkets in HK. So I have to say I can't assume Yuzu gyoza on shelf is because of the popularity of Yuzuru. But anyway I'm glad I can buy Yuzu gyoza in HK.
  9. From what I saw on Chinese social media during Tokyo Olympics, I don't think the foreign media is exaggerating the amount of toxic nationalism at present. Although Yuzu is extremely popular and having a very positive image in China, for those who only know his name, he is still "a Japanese" and he could be attacked just for this "reason". But these netizens also forget fast, and probably would still choose to support him next year when they forget about the Japanese win in table tennis and gymnastics and found Yuzu's major rival is an American who skated to "Mao's last dancer". So my suggestion is to just ignore the view of general netizens because they actually don't care about the athletes. Also I think Chinese Yuzu fans are already immune of this kind of attack because it is so anti-intellectual.
  10. I also noticed that! 2 days ago it was still 17.xx M but when I watch it yesterday, it increased to 18.2M. And now it's 18.4M. Don't know how it worked, but I'm glad more people watch this performance. Olympic Seimei is so iconic and very Yuzuru.
  11. Why is everyone so calm Am I the only one who went crazy and looped this video for more than an hour? He is otherworldly (Planet-Hanyuly) beautiful
  12. Wonder what will be the title of the new “all-routine” video if Yuzu competed in Beijing 2022, “all-all-routine” video?
  13. Yuzu said in his post JNats interview that Kohei Uchimura was 31 and was still doing most difficult elements in gymnastics. This made him feel he was still young (26) and could continue to challenge. Then I remember his interview with Kenji Miyamoto at 21, saying 30 year old sounds like an uncle's age.
  14. yes They are different exhibitions. There was an online exhibition for season 2019-2020 in summer of 2020 (part of merch donated to covid support) and the Hanyu Yuzuru exhibition for 3.11 earthquake (Tomo ni, Mae e = Together we move forward ) starts from Dec 2020 and is still ongoing. Tomo ni, Mae e = Together we move forward = A Notte stellata project they are the same exhibition for 10 year anniversary of 3.11 earthquake The Be the Light photobook is not linked to any of the exhibitions. However its release date is 2021.3.11. (No one asked but the "Always with Yuzu" Diary is also published on 2021.3.11, as written on last page of the diary book)
  15. He looks both like a baby and a rock star in this photo
  16. Actually DeepL translator is working quite well. I can understand 90% of the translation. You should definitely give it a try.
  17. wow I was reading the English auto-translation, it was quite direct... I guess the journalist did some paraphrasing? But I would also be glad if they are his own wordings. From this article, he mainly doubted about the calling of pre-rotation, not GOE or PCS. The magazine itself though... I remember it is a problematic magazine?
  18. Yes, I still remember I was first attracted to the forward cross-rolls in SEIMEI during the Olympics... I later learned they are not difficult, maybe even one of the reasons causing SEIMEI StSq forever Lv3 But every step is on note, like some dangerous, magical, mysterious but charismatic person approaching you quietly. I didn't know who SEIMEI is, but I can see SEIMEI in him. At first I refuse to admit there can be such perfect skater, my comment at that time was "he's got the right music", "the music was good". But I just can't forget him. So I finally bothered to searched him, probably a month after seeing Olympic SEIMEI. And now then here I am .
  19. I feel he is more "Yuzuru" in WTT version of Ten Chi, with a lot more emotion in the choreography, trying to "talk" with the destiny with his movements. I see Yuzuru in this program. JNats ver. Ten Chi he was more godly and more introvert. Yes he has... waiting for the footage
  20. And it's so beautiful... I like the black and gold design, and Yuzu's signature carved on back, what a pity it's too big...
  21. I think it is because he was assumed to return to TCC after the pandemic, and he was saying "maybe not". He did mention the cons of returning to Toronto, if not TCC. I mean, you should also see the "maybe" in his lines. It's not for us to make the conclusion.
  22. I remember Brian talking about seeing Yuzu happily practising his old programs for CWW, so I thought it was in Toronto. But you are right, there are so many unknowns around, it is almost impossible to be certain.
  23. Actually he said that in his post 20JN interview and post 21WC interview... maybe without that "s", we don't know how many doctors he has in Toronto. He may not return to Toronto after the pandemic, but he also may. We can just wait for his decision and not judge for him which training base is the best for him.
  24. Somehow in my memory, Yuzu was treated in Tokyo after his injuries.... Please correct me if I'm wrong. But maybe his rehabilitation is done in Toronto with his Toronto physician? Anyway we all agree that the "doctor" in Toronto is really important for Yuzu. I think Kikuchi san is more of a trainer than a doctor to him.
  25. I know that there is a part of the fandom who doesn't really like BO. I didn't research into the detailed history, but my impression is that this is mostly related to the early period of the coaching (for example, some fans think Brian is not supportive to Yuzu during and after 2016 WC (the DT incident and Javi party event), not supporting Yuzu to upgrade the technical difficulty etc). As I knew Yuzu only after 2018, I didn't experience that period of time and don't know whether these stories are exaggerating. But this narrative is known among many fanyus. From a personal perspective, these two recent interviews after 2021WC from Brian quite changed my opinion towards him. 3 years into this fandom, this is the first time I see Brian understands Yuzu's status in Japan and show a real unconditional trust in him. Maybe Brian was being modest or just wanted to promote TCC, in Brian's previous interviews, Yuzu is usually pictured as an ordinary TCC student who has a lot of fans. Those interviews sometimes made me doubtful whether Brian is providing enough support to Yuzu, because I believe Yuzu do need more support than an ordinary popular student in TCC. Of course I don't know the details, but this just remained a question mark in my mind. I believe TCC is supportive for Yuzu. Maybe not to the degree some fans wanted, but the overall effect should be positive. I can see his skating skills really improved from 2012 to 2014. Not mentioning Shae and Jeff and DW created so many masterpieces with Yuzu. But now it seems Yuzu has developed his own method of training, and the hardest period of training alone has passed. Training in Sendai while keep email communication with coach team maybe also a good option. Anyway, I always trust Yuzu's decisions. He knows what is the best for himself.
