  1. JK and Jimin were both nominated for BBMAs (and pitted against each other). Jungkook did win two categories, but, oddly, not the one for sales. How many Seven or Standing Next to you does he have to sell? I am reasonably sure (but not positive) he sold more than Seventeen or StrayKids. And Jimin is STILL hanging in the top 100 streamed songs. Also- why would t JK be in a category that didn't start with a K?
  2. This will require me to watch the Straykids MV. Later, when it's too wet and windy to walk around outside. Never mind - I listened and his voice is so different than Tae's, it's hard to pull a comparison out of my head. I so hope Namjoon is pleased with all the recognition he is getting. He's always had a kind of inferiority complex, oddly, He should be developing a new confidence all together. And Jin is a surprise - his album definitely has a range of styles. I'm glad it's for one of the songs that's in Korean, and also heartfelt.
  3. Yoon has been impeached!!!!!!!๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
  4. Jin has two nephews. Sun (Seon) and Won - they are maybe 13-18months apart from each other. The little one is already walking. His brother and sister-in-law post pictures of the kids with their faces covered up.....
  5. He is cute - and, while there are too many "not small" dogs in Korea, and an attitude towards dogs, rurally, that would make you cry, most all the dogs I ever see in Seoul are little ones. Smaller than my Westies. Maybe JK can influence younger peoples' opinions.
  6. He'd have bottles for the other five members ( in addition to Hobi) but they wouldn't post about it.
  7. Well - no surprise - but I do like Who better than Standing Next to You - because it's more unique.... Still, I guess it really is remarkable that Jungkook won, though the K in front of the award category left no other choice but JK. They need to in "regular" categories.
  8. It's things like this that make me believe that the Hobi we see is genuine. I think there are a couple of absolutely true things we can say about him: he is a perfectionist and expects the same from the members; and he is kind. In discussions here with the owner of the dog I look after on Jeju, having her listen to Tae's Christmas songs, and then Jimin and others, to show how different they are individually, and she says they are still k-pop, but I disagree. They, even before their solo work, had stretched the bounds of k-pop. They are more inclusive of other genres and have sort of morphed into their own genre. Maybe it's the "idol" thing that will stay with them forever, and that's okay, but they are hardly a "boy" group anymore and haven't been for some time.
  9. I hope Jin isn't too disappointed that he didn't get a studio, but the three who have them write so much. They must have a large, special room for the four vocal line members. Their own space away from the rest of the company. I hate gin. But the flavored ones, especially in convenient cans, will probably be popular int he states. This is as much of Sun that we will ever see -
  10. I don't drink but will look for it anyway later in the month.
  11. Agree on the way over rated Mariah Carey song- and I hear it way too often. Oddly, my least favorite perennial Christmas song (it literally makes me cringe) is Burl Ives - It's a Holly Jolly Christmas - and I heard it today in Seoul. Eee gads. And wondering what is on with TXT- I feel like it's nothing good.
  12. And he thought being the BTS leader and spending a decade herding cats wasn't stressful enough. Also - too dangerous. I want him safe and happy in the studio and on stage,
  13. I took a screen shot of this and intend on getting a print. Wow. I checked to see where RM's documentary will eventually stream and Disney already has plans so I feel okay not going to the show tonight. So much to do before leaving on Sunday.
  14. Much better translation than the AI one on Weverse. I am both sad and heartened that he misses us so much. And, finally, back in significant contact with the other members. He sort of purposely isolated himself from them but it appears that this led to a new appreciation of them and OT7 and all that they are. He has a new profile pic -
  15. I hope you got some joy from that chart. It has to be a very strange day in Seo. He deserves to have a sweet day, but I bet he was concerned for the other guys. And that's nothing we will ever find out. He may have even been thinking about doing a live for his birthday, so maybe he will, but I bet that the martial law thing is having a sobering effect.
  16. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ Great new stuff.... and JK's documentary is available today, too. Believe me, anything but US news is a necessary diversion.
  17. So excited to see JK's doc, followed by Jin birthday stuff and then RM's doc opens in theatres on the 5th. Regarding the stuff from Dispatch about nj and mhj - Asian Culture and Ent person is doing her show tonight about the same thing - one of the nj parents is turning on mhj.- It starts at 9:30 and she usually goes for at least an hour so I'll likely catch it tomorrow -
  18. Yeontan had a number of health issues. Tae knew that when he got him and did everything he could to help him. But, as a small dog, I had hoped he'd last until post-military, And I am surprised that Mickey is still around. I don't know how old he he but he seemed old the last time there was a photo of him, pre-military.
  19. To see the news of Yeontan first thing when I woke up today made me cry. I, too, hope he had a chance to say goodbye. Tannie had many health issues and Tae gave him such a good life. So sad. On a bright note:
  20. There is always the possibility of an error in translation, too. And I picture Jin in a Nintendo store, the proverbial kid in a candy shop. Yet another poll - but we can pick as many as we like, so it's easy to just go with all our members (and TXT)
  21. Jungkook did win at MMA. Best male solo (2nd year in a row), "top ten artist" and "millions top ten" - whatever that means. Didn't they just change the criteria for wins? And Hobi sunshine. I believe that being a member of BTS and years of being "j-hope" brought out the true inner Hoseuk. Without BTS, he'd still have been a taskmaster att whatever he did, but I believe the sunny sweet might not have developed.
  22. Why would Tae's unit be into snow removal? That seems to me to be the sort of the the civil service people, like Yoongi, would be tasked with. The MV is chaotic and, to be honest, it seems like multiple ideas crammed into one. Beautiful voices, though.
  23. I can understand how frustrating this has to be for Hybe - dealing with these delusional children. nj could not truly comprehend just how much they are damaging themselves. But I don't care. At what point does Hybe's legal department call the bluff and accept their "cancellation', sue them for what they owe Hybe and prohibit them, legally, from using the name. Just hoping that no other company tries to sign them, which would just be stupid. A lot of money and time was invested in training these girls and promoting them. The money will be recouped - and even if they can find another company to take them on, without their name or any of their previous hits, would it be worth it?
  24. They can't even keep the name - that doesn't belong to them. I suspect another company will pick them up and maybe they'll have a future but they are doing the proverbial "cutting their noses off to spite their face". And I don't know how they can keep their schedule without the support of Hybe. How do they intend on paying for travel? And production of any live performance? They have breached their contract and it won't be pretty for them. Feeling so emotional about TXT. And Tae - of course he can do what he likes on his days off, but I am surprised that he was able to post anything. Of course, he won't do anything not allowed but posting this seems a stretch... and also jaw-dropping. The only BBMA we can vote for is for fan group - and tour group (so II picked Coldplay, of course - ARMY could push them up) RM's film is just a week away - it is playing in Tucson and I will try to go, but doing my frantic get-ready-to-travel thing....leaving on the 8th. And I was nearly the one who put this over the top.
