  1. I can understand him promoting HumanMade stuff (other members of the group have, also) but see it more as a gesture than, say, a brand ambassador. Something's up, though, unless it was just shopping, which is possible and maybe not why he's in Japan. I also love that Jin (and Wendy) are described as having "insane ranges". Jin has range, though, it really is Tae who has the widest range, since his voice is low but he carries off the falsetto stuff so beautifully.
  2. Someone tell JK. Some subs are up for his Live but not English or other "western" language.
  3. Oh - I forgot - Bing Crosby's family posted this. So cool for Tae. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDzuYhKMujL/?igsh=eWR6NjNkb3N4cXZt
  4. Haven't a clue how the winners are tabulated. Can we vote? And TXT - I will be back in Korea in March and although Sean's vacation starts the afternoon of the 7th, I'm sure I could arrive on Jeju the 8th if I could get a ticket for the 7th in Incheon. @Faithyu Do you want us to try to get tickets for one of the cities? Will there be intense competition anything like BTS? If more of us try, better chance? Of course, trying to resell tickets you don't need might not be easy. I don't know how that works in the EU. And Jin and figure skating collision - And
  5. and pre-sale for MOA You know what makes me happiest about this is that it means they are okay and aren't going away permanently. I was concerned. They just needed a break. And Soobin must be better. And - uh, oh
  6. Well, the other members get leave. Maybe he's the first to ask. I hope he spoke with Jin and Hobi and Yoongi. They could be reassuring (though I somehow doubt they'd have been up for the Live, except maybe Yoongi, but would he watch?) He's have to have seen Jin - they are so close and Jin knows how being away from ARMY and being isolated from what he loves can impact his mood....he'd be sensitive to that. I wish we knew some of those things -)I can see he's proud of his new house - maybe he'd have invited any member in Seoul to come by and see it.
  7. I'd put money on him flying to LA-
  8. So she in Korea missed this!!! I agree that the numbers must be accumulative. Yes, Europe would find it the perfect time. But it didn't start until there would have been plenty of Korean fans already in bed (maybe?). I am curious how it's okay for him to do a Live and actually appear. Why haven't we seen anyone else during active service? Not that he's a regular Live kind of guy, but Yoongi could calm ARMY concerned about his mental health with a five minute "hi there- I'm okay". I'll watch it later after I take the dog out and even better, go for a hike. The first actual sunny day since I got to Jeju a week ago- though still pretty windy. can't believe I missed it! That's what I get for being "do not disturb" after 10 pm.
  9. i heart radio interview with Jin -
  10. Good. It's actually surprising, in a good way, that male skaters are getting attention (for their skating).
  11. Who even knew such an operation existed? Why would Jun leave competitive skating when it's just one more year before the Olympics? I can't imagine him abandoning competition before that.
  12. Can't wait to see this one. I believe they shot this very soon after Hobi got out of the military based on his hair length. It's definitely before he went to LA. So Jin didn't kidnap him immediately upon discharge but pretty soon thereafter.
  13. I wonder if igin will be available at other stores. And I think Jin's involvement in the creation and promotion of an alcoholic beverage should put the entire Yoongi incident in the way way past. I had thought that being charged (and voluntarily (?) admitting) with being drunk would put an end to any future Suchwita episodes but @rockstaryuzu pointed out that Yoongi could use it as a teaching moment. Alcohol is an integral part of Korean culture and Jin's new venture takes the "stain" of the Yoongi incident and kind of, in a way, sweeps that whole episode away. And I think that Jin is the exact right member to do this.
  14. So Jimin qualifies as a soloist, but JK doesn't? Not even for Standing Next to You? (Not that I dislike Jimin setting records....I certainly watch him more than the other members - well, along with Hobi and RM. Oh, and Yoongi and Tae and Jin- but it's Jimin and Jin lately)
  15. I absolutely hate shoe shopping, Bathing suit shopping is worse. But Hobi LOVES to shop. But I think that, for the past few years anyway, when he does shop, he gets a private room with a selection of items the person there thinks he'll like. It's not like he can just walk into a store and rifle through racks. The time invested in just trying on and getting that many shoes is daunting. You gotta love shoe shopping to do that.
  16. Javalinas eat the actual pads of the prickly pear. And the roots. Did he know this? Apologies to Hobi, but if there is no room for a new pair of shoes in your massive shoe closet, you need to remove and donate a pair. Also, speaking of Hobi - any way I can get this to him? Dick Van Dyke was doing all this 60 years ago, long before Michale Jackson.https://www.instagram.com/reel/DDOFdOxsDtp/?igsh=cXRqcXo5dzJqNDR2
  17. Re:pet sitting @Faithyu I belong to an international group called Trusted Housesitters. It's any and all kinds of animals -even horses, chickens, etc.. If you use this code, you'll get 25% off an annual membership. Or two months free, or something like that. There are two (actually three) levels. You can join as just someone seeking sitters or, like me, seeking sitters and places to go stay/sit. I clearly don't use that back half much since I hooked up with my Korean place (through TH). i know that I wouldn't be able to afford to go away for 5 days and pay a dog sitter for less than an annual membership costs me, and I have people at my house right now (for a total of four weeks this trip - I've used sitters for a total of at least three months, if you add up my trips, this year alone. Wow to the savings - and the house is looked after. You get to vet the sitters (and they are already background checked). DM me if you'd like more info. Obviously I highly recommend the service.) https://www.trustedhousesitters.com/refer/RAF117669/?utm_source=copy-link&utm_medium=refer-a-friend&utm_campaign=refer-a-friend Jimin is criminally neglected in all "best of" lists and charts. I find it sad. Two things from threads - about Jin and about Korea - https://www.threads.net/@hamidxsaraj/post/DDmo6auyG7l?xmt=AQGzR3mRaZOL0phCIj1DWGUbbzVyUkrs2Yj80tHX-43KVA https://www.threads.net/@knamjoon.21/post/DDmcSDFzZmD?xmt=AQGz6kJY4As_d_1dSYASKyHMkocnFvP9SQbVduewwoKVOg @Whoopiewoop Sounds like a perfect job for you - and, actually, Christmas must be a time when you can work lots and maximize your income and then back off some in January. I want to move.
  18. SKZ's version is a softened and toned down version, but the beats are the same. It is so nearly the same, I'd call it plagiarized. But since Jump is 10 years old, it's possible someone had it in their head because they'd heard it a lot years ago and then thought their idea was original. New job, @Whoopiewoop? Did the EU kill your great baby business? I about have my sitter for next June, but am having to guess my Jeju dates because Goguma's dad can't get a firm "two week camp" date from his school, but since I want to be in Seoul on the 11th or so,I guess I'll just pick my Jeju dates....Getting a dog sitter for Tucson in June is tricky - it's in the 100's and brutal,
  19. Note: none of these are awards, just stats. Stating the facts. "World Music awards" - WTF? JK is NOT a K-Pop act. He's a soloist. A male soloist, and was singing in English. I think you're right that the western artists are intimidated and very self-centered about this stuff. Very protective of American "supremacy" without acknowledging that it's a global market. And many western artists are seeking out Korean (and other) acts for collaborations, and it just boosts their own popularity.
  20. JK and Jimin were both nominated for BBMAs (and pitted against each other). Jungkook did win two categories, but, oddly, not the one for sales. How many Seven or Standing Next to you does he have to sell? I am reasonably sure (but not positive) he sold more than Seventeen or StrayKids. And Jimin is STILL hanging in the top 100 streamed songs. Also- why would t JK be in a category that didn't start with a K?
  21. This will require me to watch the Straykids MV. Later, when it's too wet and windy to walk around outside. Never mind - I listened and his voice is so different than Tae's, it's hard to pull a comparison out of my head. I so hope Namjoon is pleased with all the recognition he is getting. He's always had a kind of inferiority complex, oddly, He should be developing a new confidence all together. And Jin is a surprise - his album definitely has a range of styles. I'm glad it's for one of the songs that's in Korean, and also heartfelt.
  22. Yoon has been impeached!!!!!!!😁😁😁😁😁😁
  23. Jin has two nephews. Sun (Seon) and Won - they are maybe 13-18months apart from each other. The little one is already walking. His brother and sister-in-law post pictures of the kids with their faces covered up.....
  24. He is cute - and, while there are too many "not small" dogs in Korea, and an attitude towards dogs, rurally, that would make you cry, most all the dogs I ever see in Seoul are little ones. Smaller than my Westies. Maybe JK can influence younger peoples' opinions.
  25. He'd have bottles for the other five members ( in addition to Hobi) but they wouldn't post about it.
