  1. Four seasons and Chopin as a SP in three of them... Well it just proves how good this program is...isn't it?
  2. Ohh my...Chopin for the third time?? I don't even know how to react...let me hold it together for couple of minutes...hours...or days?!

If Yuzuru would skate to Ligeti's "Atmospheres" record scores will be guaranteed just before start to skating Why not Liszt? There are so many mesmerizing pieces by him.
  4. I'm glad S/H are keep going with L.Nichol. I love S/H with Lori much more than "before Lori" era. Except this program (by David Wilson) that one of the my favorites from them: https://youtu.be/qV0774S9CTo https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Yw9SIgi9W0c (is there anyone in the world could perfectly land this 3F jump after that scary throw?! And those spins are terrifying me every time when I'm watching, so dangerously close!)

Prokofiev- Symphony No5 is amazing! This one and the others are a sample of how many beautiful classical music pieces all around. Swan Lake is soo overused! It's probably in top 5 most used warhorses. Just like R&J and "4 seasons". I want to completely trust Jeff and their masterwork with Yuzuru in SP.
  6. Has Mishin really said that? Surprised... I could agree with Shoma's PCS (even if still think Yuzurus crazy footwork in SP was underscored and underrated) but his jump scores are just insulting to the others. Wrong edge, wrong toe-pick, PR...I'm telling that even BV of that weird elements should be decreased, they are telling me about positive GOEs... Javi's jumps are good but...he doesn't have better transitions, footwork and performance than Yuzuru!! Nathan's PCS also are just ridiculous. But hey Y.Kim has got less than +0.9 GOEs for almost every element in LP in OG2014. I think I should prepare myself to that "mesmerizing" judging next season for avoiding heart attack every time.

In his senior career so far: 2011-2012 "Classic" program (SP, étude by Skriabin) 2012-2013-2014 No "Classic" program 2014-2015-2016 "Classic" program (SP, Chopin Ballade) 2016-2017 No "Classic" program Due to this pattern and common sense (because it's Olymic season and there is no better warhorse than classic piece, and because he is just hell of good in it) now it's turn for "Classic" program. Probably in SP if LP going to be warhorse-drama, or maybe this time in LP and some "let's go coolest in the world" SP by Jeff Buttle. I guess...I hope... Or I don't know, just want to see classy and elegant Hanyu again.
  8. Good choice from Brezina indeed. He has some interesting style when it comes to program and music choices. "Game of thrones" OST for example, and I like so much his "Sherlock Holmes" program by Zimmer.
  9. Mao Asada had been chasing for her imperfect jump techniques all her carrier. Sometimes it cost her gold medal, sometime any medal and chance for podium. Despite her unique 3A, excellent foot work and beautiful skating in whole. Them make her to relearn whole skating skills from beginning. Then it seems right thing to do, because there was skaters with better jumps and they fairly was getting rewarded. But now, when everyone suddenly find out that judges doesn't care about what are you jumping lutz/flutz/lip/or even some weird mix of edge-toe jump/3.25 instead of quad, I'm feeling really sorry for Mao. Well, she just was skating in the wrong era. And it's just ridiculous to see how someone trying justify them with funny explanations "not enough time, not enough camera work to notice all of this things".
  10. I just love that new stylish format!! Thanks to team for hard work! Aaand: "Regional competition is going to be bloodbath. Will Yuzuru Hanyu able to hold it together and get a slot? It's just impossible to take any guesses in that situation"!!
  11. Trankov looked so handsome! I love "Masquerade Waltz" even if it's a warhorse. Me too! But I think it suits for pairs much more than singles.
  12. Whaat? Well then even Yazanuri is fading away with that.
  13. Somehow it reminds me Trankovs costume for "Masquerade Waltz". Beloved by judges piece btw, and so far not taken...
  14. yuzuri hanyu is another variation that comes to mind (sochi SP, anyone?) :rofl2: And Yazunori Hanyu, from our beloved british ESP uncles at GPF 2013 :rofl2: . With Russians it sounds like "Yudzuru", with Max it's also like "Yudzuru" and "Anyu" (tbut this one is more close to correct version I guess?) Yep, language barriers are all around so it's understandable though. But for b.esp it took about few years to pronounce his name properly. They have troubles with athlete names from different countries all the time. But usually I'm watching FS with them so get used to it. Like them anyway, especially S.Reed. And love the way he's pronouncing for example Javi's name, sounds like [Haviey], cute! Oh yes, Yazunori/Yazanuri (it was Nicky if I remember correctly) was apotheosis in that point!

Brian's words (considering he was talking about LP) about Javi and Yuzu keep their favorite music for Olymics are giving me some hope. Swan Lake or Carmen couldn't be his favorite...isn't it? If it's gonna be his choice I'm expecting something more than that. Eventually if it help him win surely I'll be ok even with two more R&J in both programs...
  16. Thanks everyone for sharing info/pics. Foto's are stunning! And suit them so well. Just as strong and sassy as these two. My fav one!
  17. Thank You for that! Didn't see it before. So cool! Love this outfit also, and the gloves. Without vest even better. YAzurA? But want to congratulate arena announcer who's shown real progress in improving within four and half minutes from "YAzurA" to "YuzurA"! There just wasn't enough time for complete improvement. Like his voice though.
  18. I was thinking about it few days ago, that Yuzuru could become good choreographer in future. But didn't know he has already had experience in choreographing and as I get it didn't work well. Also I was thinking about future as a ISU tech.judge. He could be great in it. He's perfectionist in everything, and no one could go on with flutzs, PRs etc with Yuzuru at judging panel. Yuzuru as a coach would be great too, especially for us, who always happy to see him. But he's student right now and he could just move on with his profession behind FS. Anyway, I wish him huge success in whatever he will chose as his way to move forward. They really can. And this saying is amazing!
  19. Already love that idea! All you need is just take a look at his practice pics. I think if he will do something like PW or LGC, dynamic and catchy, with "Patrick's style" it could and will look gorgeous and has crazy effect on audience. Some of Patrick's costumes are really good ("Blackbird" for example) but I think he has already so overused this no-costume style.
  20. @Anna, totally agree with you. (English far away from my native language also :)) Exactly my thought. All the "What if skater X didn't do that or that..."-talk is futile in my opinion because skater X did exactly that or that. You can't change the past. (I hope my post makes sense to you. English isn't my native language) As another example from Worlds what ifs... What if Yuzu hadn't had an issue with his combo in the SP? He might not have won with only a 2-point difference in that case... Then he could broke WR in both SP and LP and people finally might accept the fact that he's the best. But sometimes I'm guessing could he produce THIS H&L without that fire of anger and disappointment at himself after SP? Maybe it's even better that he was fifth after SP. Anyways I love conclusion of this story.
  21. If I remember correctly he's missed second part of his opening combo in LP. It cost him about 3-4 points and if Javi could go little better Jin could lost his medal (now I'm feeling I'm getting too involve with this if things) But yep in comparison to the others he was pretty clean. And also pretty happy with his bronze. Absolutely agree with it. After some point WGmedals without OG are like unnecessary pressure for athletes. Some athletes in different disciplines have few and more WGM and none OM. Unfortunately Olympics this kind of tricky thing. In example I felt like Javier don't really want that third World title. Only thing he wants now is Olympic medal. And I wish it to him, silver or at least bronze. He deserves it and let's be honest it's his last chance to be on Olympic podium.
  22. If... If Javi didn't fall, doubled his triple, stumbled on other few jumps and simply didn't mess his whole LP he surely would have won. If Shoma could show nearly clean landings, instead of shaky and stiff ones (I'm not saying anything about his take off because it seems they just refuse to notice it) he'd have won. If Boyang didn't do mistakes he'd have won. If Patrick could putt on more difficult program and went clean with it he'd have won. If Nathan could try to show real skating instead of jumping or at least did whatever he was without mistakes he'd have won. Too much "if..." don't you think? It was not like in cases when one little mistake could cost a title. I'm not trying to underestimate others and really like Shoma and Javi's LP for example but true is All the other skaters should just skated nearly clean for a medal chance whereas Yuzuru should do his best and even more. True is judges was ready throw this points whomever but Yuzuru. And he gave every opportunity to the others to win. He did that mistake in SP which did cost him about 10 points. But no one could use it. No one but himself with his legendary free skate. And it's just funny how some people feeling sorry for Patrick all the time since 2014, and successfuly forgetting about how he's won for example Worlds in 2012, when even good old kind-hearted b.esp Simon called it "ridiculous". İt could sound tough...but I am always taking results of OG 2014 as a some kind of karma. Of course it's not skaters fault as a person and Patrick very good skater though. But it's what it's.
  23. Thanks everyone for great tips and explanations about FS techniques. Also thanks for good questions! Lots of useful information are here! Differentiate some jumps it's really hard thing to do. Especially during program itself, I mean before slow motion. Left-right leg things, and sometimes more awkward for me - "was there a toe assist" thing. But I remember those days when, thanks to Yuzuru, I had to write down and was learning "There two types jumps in FS - toe jumps and edge jumps. Axel, Salcow and Loop are edge jumps...or is Loop a toe jump?? Ok I should take a look again" etc, as if it was main goal in my life  But when you are into it, after a while just watching being not enough, and you really want to know what's going on there. Want to know more and more. Btw take off of good lutz looks really weird. At the beginning my eyes was getting hurt every time when Yuna went for it. But then I realized that she has very beautiful lutz with deep outside edge.
  24. Thank you everyone for updates! There should be some really special programs for Sui/Han. Han increases expectations a lot with his very ambitious statements. Lovely song! Regarding this year it would be very regular for Pairs, but for Singles good choice tough.
  25. Ambesi is a darling! Wish for Milan 2018 Worlds - interview with Yuzuru and Ambesi!
