  1. Goodness. At this point, maybe Brian is starting to feel like he's just along for the ride. Also, that bodes well for Yuzu's future as a coach, should that be the path he chooses to take.
  2. For a guy who just got off a trans-Atlantic flight, he looks surprisingly well-rested and ready to go.
  3. It's a far cry from his arrival in PyeongChang...no paramilitary security escort this time!
  4. Also, Yuzu really uses his skating as a primary means of communication, doesn't he?
  5. Also, why on earth hasn't this book been picked up by an English publisher yet? Geez louise!. You'd think that at least a Canadian one would try to do it.
  6. Are those designs going to be going on the ANA planes? Looks like they were designed with that in mind
  7. Just like Yuzu, I'm going to deny any evil intentions.... I was just thinking about photography techniques, that's all....
  8. "Okay now, what do you say to everyone who's seen you practice 4A? " Yuzu: "...shh!...." "Ah, lovely, that finger is in just the right spot...hold that pose...yes. "
  9. Oh, you know he would. That's if he couldn't figure out how to take it off during the 3A itself.
  10. ......... I'm speechless. Who did this and why they want to assassinate me?!!!
  11. But how much of a one? Does it really add to score? I have to agree that outside edge SE is more difficult, esp travelling in a straight line like that. OTOH, I'm a very basic recreational skater and I'm still able to do SEs, so to me it doesn't seem like something that would gain a top level skater much score. Agree that a moment of stillness in a program isn't a bad thing...
  12. Oh dear Lord. Oh my sainted aunt. I wasn't ready to be dead first thing in the morning today. Have mercy, Yuzu! Dead bunny emoji don't seem enough to express my reaction to that!
  13. You say that like there was something wrong with the Vertigo hip roll...but his technique there was perfect! +5 GOE for sure. Just pretend it wasn't done by a 15-yr old baby...
  14. That photo of him on the left is so beautiful it's just unfair.
  15. The new scoring means that the judges are basically spanking anyone who tries a jump and doesn't succeed....makes the quads a lot less enticing until you can land one reliably
  16. The only SE I saw was in the Origin section but maybe I missed it
  17. I watched that through, and I think the spread eagle they show is actually from Origin, not Otonal. They show it in the Origin half of the program. And I agree, it looks nicer. Just waiting to catch the train to Montreal to go see SCI....but I feel more excited for GP Helsinki next week...argh.
  18. I swear I just watched this yesterday...is Jack stalking my YT lists now?
  19. Yes yes. It makes a handy example of what I'm trying to say, though.
  20. I love all his twizzles; that's one move of his that I think should be done longer and more often in every program of his. But that's just my bias. If he actually did all-twizzle programs all the time, we'd soon be tired of them .
  21. Probably? The phrase 'glittering career' seems to have been coined with him in mind.
  22. & @makebelieveup Yes, it works in Seimei. But I'm saying that it didn't work in Origin; it looked out of place there.
  23. Mass Axels? I wonder if there's a Guinness Book category for that.
