  1. I think it's too soon to make predictions but I'm expecting a new short but a recycled and revamped Origin. Just a gut feeling I have.
  2. I think Japan Open coincides too closely with ACI, right? It's at the very start of the competitive season. From Yuzu's POV, I would guess it's probably more worthwhile to do ACI and get scores that count towards the ISU standings and so on. I suspect if Yuzu ever did do Japan Open, he'd be doing it the same way Nobu does. i.e, not while he's still competing officially.
  3. Maybe one day, people will be saying "I saw the great artist Hanyu", and not only "I saw the great skater Hanyu" , because I really think he does approach skating like an artist would.
  4. No, we all think the same. Welcome to the club.
  5. He was but a fleeting mirage....
  6. Well, it would have been! But unless he re-uses Origin for next year, the chance is gone now. But boy, was he ever shooting for the stars last summer! It almost makes me sorry that chill, Zen, 'I want to skate for myself' Yuzu didn't last past ACI.
  7. That first layout for Origin - I knew that opening gong was always supposed to be for the 4A! I just knew it!
  8. Yagudin the fanboy!
  9. Ah, I see. When you said this: "If you can jump all six types and repeat one in combo, 7 quads in total are still possible. Plus two in the short make 9 quads in one competition." I misunderstood that to mean thst you thought it might happen, not that it was possible but unlikely
  10. 7 quads in a 4 minute FS? That would mean jumping a quad every 30 seconds...there'd be no time left to do things like combination spins and step sequences. Maybe if the skater was capable of tossing off a quad-quad combo literally right out of the gate at the start of the program, they could get the rest in, but the odds are really low.
  11. To be honest, I don't think any of the men can do it in 4 minutes. Yuzu's pretty well the only one who can do quads out of nowhere, the rest of them need set-up, which takes precious seconds away from the rest of the program. When you factor in what else needs to be done in that time, and how much stamina it takes to leap like that in the first place, I'm not expecting any five quad layouts anytime soon.
  12. What a striking image! I'm impressed that you could remember the image enough to draw it that clearly. My dreams always swirl away when I wake up and I can only remember general feelings and themes most of the time.
  13. I....have no words. You're dead to me! D.E.D. Dead! Seriously...that thing on his face is just soooooo wrong...makes him look like a scruffy backwoods ruffian you might meet in some remote of the Japanese Alps...who snagged a bridesmaid's dress off someone's clothesline... Who could take that sweetly handsome face and wreck it with a beard?
  14. No! No! Take that back! Unsay it! Bad @4Nessie! Bad satellite! Bad! Cripes, guys, we got another five months of desert to cross, don't lose it this early!
  15. I suggest the title "Wasada and Yale Team Up to Offer World First: Ph.D. in Interpretive Dance" with the sub-headline "World Champions to be Guest Lecturers".
  16. Well, I'm glad you said it, because if I did, I'd just sound wayyyy too thirsty. In all fairness to Edea, though, it's also the best possible view of his skates in action.
  17. I love how he can take any moment and lighten it up...
  18. Thanks for the further information. The whole thing seems very weird and entirely unnecessary, tbh.
  19. I don't get it. Anti fans doing this I could see, but big companies? Why would they? It makes no sense. Most big companies have better things to do with their time. Clicked through to the original article and if Google Translate is correct, what it actually says is the jobs recruiting people to write such things on social media have been posted multiple times on a crowdsourcing job site ( sounds like a Japanese version of TaskRabbit) but that the recruiting company could not be identified. It also says that there are jobs looking for people to write any kind of fan opinion about all kinds of celebrities posted by 'publishing' companies. So not as bad as first appeared but disturbing all the same
  20. Even if he uses the same music, it'll be completely different layout, I agree.
  21. Man, every time I think I'm done feeling sorry for Kolyada...poor guy.
  22. Cripes. We actually do have good bands and good singers, you know. They just never seem to get popular outside of Canada. Anyway, on a more serious note, Diana Krall would probably fit the bill. Jazz piano, everyone's favorite. Google her "Cry Me A River" and you'll see.
  23. Yuzu in red lace....
  24. I'm thinking Kose probably gave him a pre-determined list of topics to talk about and told him to keep it brief, so he did. But they should have checked to make sure they had a different topic for each day.
