Oh wow Kazuki! Nice!

Currently working on a design. I didn't drop this project, just had some RL stuff force it to the back burner. I hope to have these available at Worlds and going forward.

If you look at those landings, Yuzu immediately and deliberately kicks his legs out once he feels his balance going so that his feet don't get caught under him. It has to be a safety thing. Also, according to wikipedia, CBC has the rights for Worlds and all non-domestic ISU competitions, so it'll be Kurt, PJ, & Carol & co. for commentary. And Tracy will be free to coach whomever. I would like it if Jason makes it.

Nationals are in Mississauga - it's literally a 25 minute drive from TCC. Yuzu ain't gettin' away with nuttin' right now. Speaking of which, Tracy definitely had her coach's hat on during her commentary for Nationals. If any of the skaters happen to go back and watch the footage, they're going to get good advice from Tracy (for free) out of it.

I was feeling sooooo blue today, but Lotte and the satellites have fixed that! There's a perfectly logical reason to use orange. They're clearly trying to appeal to the Dutch market and seduce those Nederlanders away from speed skating. Now I'm wondering what colour the costume originally was IRL. They couldn't possibly have had all these different colours lined up for him to wear at the photoshoot, could they? It would be $$$.

Didn't Yuzu once say he wished he could be carried piggy back by Patrick in order to learn how Patrick skates? why no, I'm not trying to start anything...why do you ask?

Patrick's one of the athlete ambassadors. Not only will he be there, it might actually be his job to talk to Yuzu (and the other athletes)...something about this just tickles my funnybone.

I thought FaOI isn't doing any shows in April in Japan this year because of Olympics? Maybe that's why Yuzu picked SOI instead?

When was the last time a man was the face of a global-reach women's skincare line? I can only think of RuPaul for M.A.C. Viva Glam back in the 90's - and that was just a lipstick, not a whole brand...

I forget which interview it was (maybe after ACI), but sometime in the fall, Yuzu himself said that his flip wasn't great and he sometimes gets edge calls, but that one day he'd like to work on 4F so that he could do all six quads in a program. I don't think he gave a reason for why he didn't think his flip was strong.

When you describe it this way, it actually sounds a bit like the English expressions 'I'm fed up!' or 'I've had enough of this!'

They should anyway. If not Yuzu, someone's going to try it. But until it's a scoring element, there's no point in anyone wasting a jumping pass on a quint just for bragging rights...

I think it's an internet game on Twitter that the Japanese fans are doing...they've taken photos of Habu-san* and Yuzu in similar poses and put them together for comedic effect. *Habu-san is a famous Japanese shogi player/ personality whose name is spelled with the exact same kanji as Yuzu's. And he's a big Yuzu fan. His wife has said in an interview that he gets excited every time he sees the Hanyu kanji in the newspaper, but when it turns out to be a story about himself instead, his excitement turns into disappointment right away. They famously met at the Emperor's garden party after the 2018 Olympics. Habu-san has also won the People's Honor award, just like Hanyu.
