I finally had a chance to watch Raison in it's entirety, and you know what? I like it. I really like it. And not just because it shows off his physique and a bit of sensuality, either. I like it as a performance. It's a great interpretation of the music, and with the short, syncopated movements, sudden changes in tempo and direction, and intense use of the ice as a medium for dance expression, it's a completely new approach for Yuzu. So I like that he's challenging himself creatively here as well. He's doing an abso-friggin'- lutely incredible job of FaOI this year and I hope he brings this new attitude to all his competitions this coming season.

This is what makes him so good to watch. And even if he did another classical piano program, it would still be different from anything he's done previously. Yuzu doesn't believe in standing still or resting on his laurels, as he has shown many times over.

Let's not forget that moving one's arms during a spin is also a more difficult technique as every move made by the skater alters the momentum of the spin. So Yuzu's arm variations in spins are a perfect example of how his technical mastery of the sport allows for the artistic expression of his soul .

Some people are born with that affinity for music. My middle nephew has it. He's been pitch and rhythm perfect since the age of two. You can call it talent but I think it's more like innate natural ability

If you consider how wildly popular Yuzu is in Asia and also the fact that Taiwan is probably not on any ice show's radar at all, it does not surprise me. Also, Yuzu ten feet tall on a big screen, so that I can see every detail of his skating closely? Heck yeah, I'd jump.on it too. Might even be better than seeing him live, honestly. Except that nothing's better than seeing him live

Anyone else feeling like Yuzu has decided to stop hiding his true identity as a literal rock star (a sexy one, too!) and just knock us all dead, all the time? Also, I have to get up at an early hour today so am not trying to watch the streams...but my brain woke me at this hour and reminded me it's a Yuzu show night, anyway.

Truthfully< I doubt Yuzu ever thinks of his fellow competitors in those terms - and Ilia is a Yuzu fanboy. Yuzu would be more likely to ask him how he figured it out
