  1. And when you think that he works fulltime as an MD, too, it's even more amazing
  2. Breathe. Remember to breathe. Sorry, after 4 years of stanning Yuzu, that is the only advice I have.
  3. Because Yuzu's skating career is like an anime series that keeps getting new sequels...like Sailor Moon or one of those. Just when you think he's done, he comes back for more
  4. Season 4? More like a series reboot, now. Or a sequel. Instead of: Mobile Suit Gundam Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Mobile Suit Gundam SEED etc, its Mushroom: Yuzuru Hanyu Begins Junior: Yuzuru Hanyu Grows 2012: Yuzuru Hanyu the Romeo Year SENIOR 1.O: Yuzuru Hanyu Abroad SENIOR 2.0: Hanyu Rises YUZURU IN SOCHI Yuzuru Hanyu Can't Lose The Agony and the Glory: Road to Pyeongchang with Yuzuru Hanyu REBIRTH: Yuzuru's Quest for 4A begins Metamorphosis: Yuzuru Goes to Beijing etc Next chapter will probably be "Immortal Blades: Yuzuru Continues" or some such...
  5. It would be so nice...but I guess it's hard for an athlete to sit still, too.
  6. Scrolling thru the pages and it looks there's a whole lot of new satellites on the Planet, so if you've just joined in the last few days, welcome!!!
  7. this man, I swear! Look after your ankle please Yuzu! ❤
  8. I think this is the coolest thing ever. It boils down to: Yuzu was destined to do 4A from the very start.
  9. I think no one except for the Chinese skiers have raced at this course before, too, because the pandemic meant test events were cancelled. So that's probably adding to the challenges.
  10. I heard. Couldn't watch because work. But to me it sounded like he had a moment of intense frustration because he was popping axels, and pushed a little bit too hard to get the 4A done, and fell really hard. Those are the times when I wish someone could tell him to hold up a bit, take a breath, and reset his thoughts, before he tries the jump that one last time too many. After all, no one wants to see him hurt himself in a moment like that. Because he's probably too focused to realize he needs that reset. Our hearts can only take so much.
  11. Have a look at this. Eileen Gu lands 4.5 rotations in freestyle aerials. I think it's a good sign for Yuzu - this may just become the 4.5 rotation Olympics
  12. Welcome! Also, this is for the mods and the admins: i really love the new Olympic theme! It's so bright and peppy!
  13. Welcome!! And I have no tips to offer, with Yuzu it's always a rollercoaster ride.
  14. Has it been posted? [NEWS] https://twitter.com/Reuters/status/1490299288768987138?s=20&t=mHUXsQqhPqAMrqJznfU_TQ edit: whoops, it has. 'Bears' repeating though!
  15. Wow, no pressure on Yuma at all for the team event, there, eh, JSF? Although they kind of don't have a choice...still. i think Yuma will handle it well.
  16. Aw, Yuma is such a good kid. And he has excellent taste in role models. I still say that an all-Japan Olympic podium is not out of the question. Depending on how things go, we could be seeing all three of them get medals.
  17. guys, it's ISU Figure Skating that picks the judging panel, not the Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee
  18. Oh my gosh, satellites...have you all seen this? https://twitter.com/TeamCanada/status/1487120088134299653?s=20&t=aebeOV3-nf_ZHXZSj6llGw
  19. Scoring or no scoring, I'm just going to enjoy the fact that Yuzu is giving us a third straight Olympics to watch him at. Those other guys' fans? Their faves could NEVER...
  20. That or it's someone using Google Translate really badly on articles from already questionable sources...apparently they say Keegan has a daughter! Poor Wyatt, not even 6 months old an the IOC is already mixing him up with a girl...
  21. It's especially weird because up until recently, it seemed like the Olympic channel social media manager was a fanyu, tweeting about Yuzu every chance they got. Surely they'd notice this was wrong and fix it?
  22. The terminology isn't the best, because Yuzu is correct, technical mastery is completely necessary to art. And I don't like the term 'point-hunter' vs 'total package', because one can be a full package skater and still try to maximize the points that you get. I think we're both talking about the same thing, anyway: skaters who treat their programs as a rote recital of all their best skills, set to music, vs skaters like Yuzu who treat their program as an integrated whole, as an exquisite expression of the human spirit through the medium of figure skating. Essentially, the presence of a particular piece ofmusic doesn't matter much for the first kind of skater because they can use whatever and get the same result. But for the second kind of skater, the music is everything and dictates the form and flow of the program .
  23. WHY did TAT have to say this? Talk about adding salt in the wound.
  24. I'm so sad for Misha. Was looking forward to watching him. Get well soon. This pandemic Olympics is going to be a game of last man standing, mark my words
