  1. I wonder how many of those media people have followed him from the start and are feeling the way we do right now
  2. Also, I'm saying this now, in all seriousness: May the stream be completely problem-free and the servers hold up under the hammering they're about to get. I know from past experience with BTS livestreams that YouTube sometimes can't take the strain. Today, however, especially for Yuzu, the stream shall be perfect all the way through. I decree it. ....but just in case, guys, go easy on the YT chat
  3. Despite my potentially using work resources to watch, it feels absolutely glorious. Pour one out for our QQ providers though...they did us a much-needed service many times
  4. Ugh, I'm having such a night at work...I might actually end up watching Yuzu's practice on my phone using the hospital guest wifi...
  5. Once the locals discover Yuzu, that'll be it. Game over, Yuzu World complete. How do they even think of this stuff, much less make it work? If I tried to do it, I'd end up with a jumbled mess
  6. And the house and the summer home on Lake Como and the jointly-run business empire and the art collection and the dog and the cat...
  7. Me too, but you know that this means we now have to become professional fans
  8. Great! But you know, I went to Yuzu's official channel and I don't see any link for the livestream up there yet...maybe doublecheck that it isn't someone else taking advantage of the situation, like they did yesterday. Check the channel name
  9. I'd say based on this description that 'くっそ' is probably closest to the widely used 'effing' or 'eff' as a substitute for the f-word. Everyone knows what it means but it's still un-rude enough to use in polite company. I love that Yuzu says ore. For a wide variety of reasons but mostly because it makes clear that he sees himself as a leader type.
  10. No, this is how pre-announced livestreams work on YT. Most peopple just don't join the chat early, b/c why would they? But Yuzu is fun to chat about
  11. There are more of us than you think! I am one - usually I test at something like 49% one to 51% the other, with I and E switching back and forth.
  12. It's actually a necessary part of language-learning, to avoid accidentally giving offense. I had a classmate from Kuwait in engineering school who learned the hard way just how offensive the f-word could be after some @$$ tricked her into using it
  13. Would love to watch Yuzu's practice and chat about it in a forum here on the Planet just like we do for competitions LOL. Yup. I even have a sakura-themed whiskey that will be just right! Wheeeee!
  14. That's just what I was missing from my life thank you. I can't wait to see what the live chat will be like 😍
  15. I think it should never be a thing where people feel pressured to do it "or else we lose". I think it's fun to voluntarily do it to give Yuzu some numbers or organize it as a group activity for a particular time period or something. But it mustn't become something to bully each other over. For example, just today on my tl, there were 3 or 4 tweets all in tge vein of 'wow so many ARMY on Twitter are fake ARMY. They brag about how much they love BTS but they never post about voting in fan-voted awards shows. They never talk about streaming. They're not doing x, y,z so there's no way they could be real fans." And sometimes this shade is directed at really big accounts who provide wonderful services to the fan community, like free translations, or at people who have obviously spent thousands on merch and concert tickets etc. Clearly unfair, clearly wrong. I think it's both fun to stream, and also wise to avoid policing things like whether other fans stream videos or not. Let everyone enjoy the fun in their own way. 💜
  16. I agree, but who would we fight with? Yuzu's the only skater with that kind of number of fans anyway. No one else comes close. 'Streaming wars' would be literally pointless. However, I get what you mean about fights within the fandom over who is doing the fan thing 'the right way" by streaming etc. As an ARMY active on Twitter, I see it all the time and it's not right.
  17. So at what point do you think our Hanyuism moves from being a 'fandom' to becomes something bigger, like, say, a movement or a philosophy? Or a trend, or phenomenon, or what have you? Are we there yet? 🥰
  18. Never thought I'd see the day that someone opening a social media channel was front-page news for traditional print media. The times we live in, man.
  19. That's a record all on it's own. Nearly a million views and 281, 000 subscribers on the first day of an unsearchable channel?! WOW!
