I don't think he's pigheaded enough to think that his slightly unstable ankle can deal with the 4A physically right now. I mean, the 3Lz was difficult. No amount of painkillers will keep his ankle steady under that, it needs to become structurally sound again. If anything, his desire to land the 4A will be motivation to get his ankle completely healed because he needs it to land it. Anyway, his ankle will heal, it'll just take a while longer. He can take a few months to get it healed now, even if (everything crossed that he doesn't) needs surgery to sort it out properly. He can do it in his own time now, instead of ISU's schedule or the Olympic schedule.

His 3A is pretty good. He managed to turn a very wobbly landing into a combo. Still can't have Nessie.

I feel exactly the way I do when I find my dogs with something that is not their toy. And usually something I really need. I hold it up and very sternly ask, 'Is this your toy? Hmm? Is it?' That's kind of what I wish I could do.

The only Artur Dmitriev who's still skating that I found is older than Yuzu. We can be salty without being mean.

I'm looking him up. But I'm sure he's very good and his 3A is normally great when he hasn't already attempted the implausible once earlier in his programme. Nevertheless. Nessie is Yuzu's until and unless he decides to let go of it and anybody else who tries it until then will get the stinkeye, fair or not.
