  1. I still haven't the slightest clue what these triple under and double jump are. Clearly this is very high level jump rope.
  2. Yeah, and we got that crinkly-oooops-can't-believe-I-got-that look from that SP, too. What more can anybody ask for!
  3. Nobody really makes money like that unless they have a really exceptional agent, and even then, it's usually payment for a shoot for working as the model or something like that. Most of these magazine spreads and coverage now are not from shoots he did for them, though. They're mostly from photos taken at events, which will have been taken by their own photographer while covering the event. Or by an agency like Getty, who will then own the photos and will sell it for use by other media for a certain fee. The only shoots he seems to do are sponsor-related, like P&G, so that will be included in his contract anyway. ETA: Printing costs for glossy magazines are so high that revenue isn't directly from sales. It's from advertising, which increases if you have great sales, of course. If Yuzu is featured, cost for ads in the magazine would probably increase so they do get more revenue from those editions, I'd guess from general industry knowledge, but it would be very complicated for Yuzu's team to claim how much of what revenue he'd get to share. For one thing, the actual revenue from ads wouldn't be shared with his team anyway, that would be confidential.
  4. I would say definitely not. The only way a celebrity gets paid for stuff is when it's huge and it's a complete exclusive. Like marrying royalty and giving exclusive access to wedding shoot kind of huge. Or giving the juicy details of a big scandal, also as an exclusive. Yuzu doesn't do scandals and he doesn't do bombshells that shake the tabloid world, so I'd say there's no payment involved.
  5. Yuzu could charm a hunk of rock. Like what I thought my heart was until he happened and now it's shriveling up like cotton candy under the assault of my unstoppable crying.
  6. I repeat: Nooooo!!! Would the obvious Yuzu-Boyang friendship, and Yuzu's persistent and hopefully effective efforts to counter Boyang-erasure, and Boyang's fanboy moments, make any difference? [ETA: To the stirring up of sentiments, I mean.] Boyang will (fingers crossed) be an actual contender next Olympics.
  7. Aaarrggghhh He was pushed into those quotes by those very pointed questions! Nooooo!!
  8. That is uncanny. He does cause explosions, too.
  9. And he's not that interested in food, either. What a waste of the magic metabolism.
  10. I'm laughing. Oh, dear. Well, if anybody can rock the soccer mom look, it's him. He even talked about Javi playing soccer today.
  11. Well, if he ever announced he was getting married - or announced that he was married - I'd be like, what, wow, all existing Ninja levels exceeded. And I would be really happy for him because I'd assume he's happy, and that's always wonderful. And check if he or JSF or anybody had made any arrangements about gifts, like donations to causes he'd picked or whatever it might be. If there was, I'd do my best to add my bit to that. And I'd fold a few swans for his happy ever after. And I would really hope for a press release with a couple of photos, too. He's right to point out he's not an Idol. He gets very Idol superstar kind of receptions and reactions.
  12. Ohh I think he's holding up two fingers for second OGM, not just the victory sign everywhere!
  13. I heard the poor translator trying to convey whatever he was saying and she sounded like she'd just about given up, too.
  14. There is an actual red carpet for him to follow and he still almost got lost? He's been spending too much time with Shoma.
  15. Guys, you know the best thing we can take from the slightly gloomy stuff? He won't go for Worlds or anything else unless he's healed enough for it. He said he wouldn't have done it for anything but the Olympics, right? So that's about as certain as we can be from him that he won't risk his ankle again like that. I know lots of people will be disappointed, I can feel my heart stopping when I think of how much money folks must've spent on it and how much they were looking forward to it, but I also know we'd give up our limbs and our homes along with our sanity to keep him safe and healthy, so... So it's good. He'll prioritise health now, that is good.
  16. *considers making a streamer of origami swans, tying it to my broom handle like a flag and having a mini parade in his honour around the house here with the dogs and me, I'm that proud of him right now*
  17. So we're basically really confused and have no clue what he actually said, and only caught the catchphrases? Cool.
  18. He could be an ambassador after he's done with figure skating if he wanted to be. As long as there's rice wherever he goes.
  19. Those were not softball questions. A very loaded political question, a very loaded question about figure skating in general and his rivals and ISU itself, and a ridiculous and impossible question about demonstrating jumps and their difficulty. I'm in awe of how smoothly and correctly he handled all of that without compromising his own views and beliefs at all.
  20. And he bows, and he leaves. What an intelligent, articulate and intense person he is. What a treasure. Yes, I accept him as my Overlord all over again.
  21. He really spilled everything he'd been wanting to say about Javi, didn't he! He'd been waiting for a chance.
  22. This boy could be a diplomat. Oooooh, Javi question!
  23. *considers seriously ordering McD and making rice and buying chips*
