Hopefully but some of the news about the camp wasn't the best; seems like motivation is still an issue and when that happens, it's really difficult to get back to it. I'm crossing my fingers for her but going head on with Zhenya that early may not be the best thing. Depends, tough to call right now.

Ok sign me up for that one! The way we're going, we can choreo the whole program and just go, ok perform this please, thank you!
-
Fair question. Maybe because he re-tired soon after and it never really caught on. I don't even remember now, he ratified it in 2011,and the first official one in an Intl competition was NHK right after that and then he was done post GPs I think. Might be why Boyang's more influential with it.

Knock on wood, and his health being good, yes, same, same. I do indeed think it's just a question of when!

I know she's a fierce lady and all but he has packed on some muscle ... though of course, I do see a benefit of her doing the lifting. Ok yes, that works too

The more Lz-s around, the better for scoring more than likely because the differences between huge, beautiful ones and messy ones will be much easier to spot, so the very wow factor of the 4Lz, which might help cover a bit there, is gone. Of course, Boyang has that glorious monster of a Lz so it's all right for him either way but still, it's good. When Loch Ness monster shows up, then we'll see what wow factor is

Are you sure? I would still be very much in favour of a pair skate, as two OGMs. Just sayin' And btw, while Mika had a so-so skate, all I can think of now is the Team event. For a good while I did think, and sort of still do, that the Canadians are ahead in the game. It's tight but I'd currently rank it as Canada/Russia/USA. Wouldn't it be something though if Dima&Mika really raise their game for this season because boy, would that throw a spanner in the works? Suddenly it'd be very, very interesting.

Team we're fewer but still good!
Yatagarasu replied to Yatagarasu's topic in Igloo World: Team Other Skaters
So we haven't had that much news about G&G apart from Christopher Dean working on their SD but now there's this. Jeffrey Cirio is the principal over at American Ballet Theatre and they're working together this week. Makes me curious about the FS. -
Ah so both! I couldn't sort out the reports, no wonder there's confusion then! Dima's not skating the FS though, but Mika should. And Adelina and Yulia won't be at the test skates. http://tass.ru/sport/4502584

The Russians have decided to out-do the USA on the scores. Bad, bad 1. Kostner 3F+2T 3Lo 2A 72.87 2. Tuktamysheva 3T+3T 3Lz 2A 72.29 3. Gubanova 2A 3F+3T 3Lzrippon 70.68 4. Konstantinova 2A 3Ftano+3T 3Lztano 68.80 5. Sakhanovich 3F+3T 3Lzrippon 2A 63.65 6. Degtyareva 3Lz+3T 2A 3F 62.18 7. Leonova 3T+2T 3F 2A 62.00 And men 1. Aliev 99+ (if not 100) 2. Kolyada 96.8 Hopefully more precise info pops up.

Do we have the news here? Ksenia and Fedor are missing the test skates, he's still injured (had surgery last month) and has a ban on working with weight until Sept 1st.
-
True that and it might end up being a disservice to her as so many Russian ladies have quite a bit of strong personality on ice. We'll see I guess.
-
You know, at this point I wonder if they're all almost feeling obliged to say they've tried it etc. And yes, plenty of time to go until then, she and everyone else have bigger fish to fry right now! With Zagi coming in, Masha's place is definitely not secure.

Two Korean ladies up at Lombardia - Gyo Hee Jeon and Nahyun Kim!
-
Jason Brown at Lombardia, but we'll also be seeing Bradie and Amber there, that's an interesting match up. Cain/Leduc in pairs and Pogrebinsky/Benoit in ID!

Deniss, Denis, Mayorov are up at Lombardia; Laurine (I am very happy about this, I don't think we know anything about her programs) and Caro, Della Monica/Guarise in pairs and Cappellini/Lanotte in ID among others. I truly feel like the season is starting now! -
Lombardia, here we come and Wakaba is up (against Zagi no less! and Caro) along with Yura Matsuda. Hiroki and Shoma in the men's, no pairs but two ID teams!
-
With official entries up, it's confirmed, we'll be seeing Tukt and Zagi at Lombardia. I'm really excited about both of them! Then of course Lazukin, Petrov and Loboda/Drozd!
-
Lombardia entries are up. We'll have a proper event thread closer to the time of the event of course but thought I'd leave the info here as well, as we'll be seeing properly for the first time this season some very interesting names, and that's right before Yuzuru himself goes out at ACI. Shoma, D10, Deniss, Petrov (will be curious to see him in Seniors), Majorov and Jason Brown, so should be a nice few days for us all before the big event.

I doubt he's playing much with the 4F due to the 3F, maybe just for the lolz a few times. I am sure he can jump it but a quad lip would be funny. And yeah, there's no way he'd be training the 4A seriously either considering the season. I am frowning at that one too though.
-
Well that'll be interesting to see because she's had UR problems but good on her for trying. And wrong, heeeh even though yes, apart from little Bet, I doubt anyone else will try.

Other Skaters' 2017/18 program announcements
Yatagarasu replied to CupidsBow's topic in Knickknacks: General Skating Chat
At least T/M will dilute the Rach with the LP which sounds good but goodness, that combo for S/K -
Isn't it great? I was so, so happy when I saw it. I know he was at that Olympic camp thing but it's different when you see him with actual skates!
-
Yes, the easy to digest part is what I was first thinking of there. I know an athlete who swears by them for that reason, it is super easy on the stomach, there's no feeling of fullness or heaviness, yet you get all you need. I just call them energy drinks because I am lazy

I meant more those sports liquid meal supplements really that are truly a mix of all sorts of things (protein and carbohydrate, fat and fibre, depending on what you use/need) but yes, he has his own team so am sure they'll work it out!
