It's not such a bad club tbh! And honestly? I laugh. When I fall, which is embarrassingly often enough, I start laughing like a lunatic. I do that when other people fall too. So if Zu fell in front of me like that, I'd probably crack up like there's no tomorrow. I don't know, I'm a terrible person k?

You know I can totally do that but I'd be like a beached whale emitting dying whale noises so no cuteness from me. Sad panda Yata

Eh it's an American newspaper where results often look something like so and so actor has greater influence than Angela Merkel. I mean ... sure, it's often nice to get included in fluff of that type but it's just fluff. Where it counts, Zu has all the accolades. Dwelling on negativity doesn't help us in any way, and TSL btw is the worst of the worst, should just be ignored and not given 2 seconds of anyone's time. @Erin I would be that girl except I would probably face plant and break something in the process

To be perfectly honest, who cares? I mean Yuzuru has had this incredible achievement, he is recognized by so many skating greats out there, journos, he has so many people that support him that I don't think we should even be bothered by stuff like this. It's a waste of time when so so many good things have happened and keep happening. I can only feel sorry for them for not finding some joy in more beautiful things but hey, we all make our choices.

I am almost afraid to jinx it but gosh yes please, please, please

All the best to Marin for sure. As for how that'll turn out for her, guess we'll see but IMO if I had to say anything, I would not call Raf ideal for her. It is what it is though, so good luck!

It varies! Last season we got the info as early as May, it was a massive surprise as tbh, I don't remember it was ever that early in the previous years but other than that June, July. We can just cross everything that it's another early one. -
Zhenya's doing a TV show with Yagudin, Ice Age Kids! http://imgbox.com/fY99AuG0 And both she and Alina have their first ice show tomorrow.

Yeah, sorry for being late for this one folks, but I got the info from the 2124 communication as I figured that's more likely to be accurate than the calendar. -
Trusova so does have guts! But hm. That's both prerotated and unerrotated. IDK it feels at this point as they're chasing numbers, and not quality. I am not sure it's my kind of thing tbh.

There's an Ari Zakarian (Plushy's agent and vice-president of Armenian Figure Skating Federation) interview over on FSU and definitely worth a read. I so feel this man's frustration and it's not like we here haven't talked about some of this stuff for a good while now. Some bits The whole thing here

I feel you. I've tried switching the names around too and he's going to get stuck with one of the three in any case. I do think there's one argument for NHK + IdF and that's the injury because they do offer him a bit more time to settle down with the new programs and getting back to it all. But again, then that'd mean we would have Shoma and Zu together at NHK more than likely. -
Misha is the guy who thought all figure skaters should aim to be like ice dancers (which is hilarious, considering it's total opposite of Nathan's dismissive statements) and he's stated the importance of choreo repeatedly, as well as music and his commitment to it; I've read quite a few of his Russian interviews. His admiration of Zu aside, also on record, I think someone who values skating skills, choreo and the whole package would lean to the side of the overall skater.

Oh this is from them? Then I'm inclined to believe it. I knew she was there but I had the feeling it was just a temp thing. Guess it was actually a trial run. Well, we'll see but it certainly makes things interesting!

You should. H&L Helsinki. Just add a winky face so that they know you're being a good sport about it

Together? I don't think USFSA would go for that, not for the new season. Nathan's WC and they'll want to preserve the idea of invulnerability as much as possible. IdF is the last GP before the GPF and it'd be way too risky to lose to Zu then, especially considering Zu wasn't in Milano. -
Negl, the Quad King caption had me howling with laughter. Someone's frustrated!

I doubt that very much. Stephen is a child, who has so many things ahead of him, including puberty that killed off many a career. He's also got issues with the way he jumps, which may or may not translate to the point when he is more grown. Ingrained habits are hard to ditch. Yuzuru is a grown man who is at the prime of his career and there is very little in common with someone so young who is yet to enter the Junior circuit. There's a whole slew of people on the Senior circuit that are Yuzuru's challenge, he doesn't have to train with them plus there are other adults at TCC that I am sure he's much closer to. As for English, he wants to go into coaching and as he has said himself, he needs it. Anyway, if there is a younger skater at TCC that may prove a challenge then it's Jun Hwan, when he settles down some more and gets over the current growing pains.

Hm, actually I don't think so. Kolyada is now a world medalist. I expect they'll go for the Lz again next season and they'll want to drag him into the GPF, especially as Javi's not going to be around and it'll be easier and he'd gain lots of momentum that way at the beginning of the season. So I think CoR might be off the table, much like CoC. For Zu I'd say SC and NHK but I can't help but think about how public the French were so who knows (I mean he announced it at the Grenoble gala of all places!), even if there is no confirmation, it may already be a done deal. -

Well, the French are ... gosh, sorry, but dodgy. I am sure it's legit in the sense that they want it. We just don't know how 'persuasive' JSF will be and will it be a simple do you wish to or you go there. Yuzuru is technically one of those skaters who goes by invitation this season, unlike last season, so. Also depends if having P/C is that important to JSF and if P/C themselves can choose. They probably do want NHK as it's frankly the best event but we'll see. It may end up they will go anyway, regardless of Yuzuru. May/June. Was May this past season but that was unusually early. -

I tend to enjoy the GP circuit quite a bit tbh, I suppose because it's more relaxing, compared to the big Worlds, or heck even Nats, due to spots! As for the ladies, I'm very curious what is going to happen to Wakaba and Satoko, as only one gets NHK. My guess is Satoko, considering she's JSF's preferred skater, in which case where does Wakaba go? IdF is an option, so who knows, she may end up with a CoC and IdF combo as well. Zhenya is another question mark as I imagine, Alina will get CoR as the Oly champ though I could see Zhenya going to NHK again as she likes Japan. -

Ehhh, news is from the French fed so ... let's say it's their side of the story? I mean they'd want Zu there of course, for obvious reasons but it doesn't mean JSF is forcing him into anything. They could ask him if he's willing, and he might be, and of course, this type of swapping isn't unusual. Stronger 'suggestions' though are not pretty but heck, we don't know. Could be either one.
