I have no memory of this

(true trouble is that his brain probably does work in the - it's just one more rotation - way) (I shall now go hide in a corner)

Not a mistake, he intended it that way. In the RT during practice, he did the same thing, so it's choreographed, at least for now, for all 3 passes to be in the first half. Don't ask me why. I suppose there's the whole don't care about the scores bit, but on the other hand, he does want to win so....

When will Yuzu land 4A
I think it was not in the translated bits, I'll ask if I can get the Japanese once ACI is done!
-
When will Yuzu land 4A
Which is a lot actually. Especially if the fall is called a UR, what he would get for that is pittance. 4A is 12.50 now. 4A < 9.38. Then add the -5 GOE that's tied to the BV. One fall also means PCS scores under 9.5 now. If he bombs the SP that badly, then that competition is pretty much over. @Xen I have no idea what happens if 4A jumps into the first slot. He may want to keep the 4Lo and dump one of the 4Ts. Or he might go wilding and try 5 quads. It'd actually be interesting if he has decided to adopt Brian's up the content as the season goes tactic, as he hasn't really done that before and yet, it's so difficult to implement with this difficulty. I have a feeling we'll end up with every possible LO permutation here and still be left going ummm.

Team USA
Oh yes, this is pretty much how that goes, but especially Zhenya I think would be in a similar place like Jason's. Though if Jason is dying from Tracy's skating skills class .... Considering that they're all adults now, and been around for a while, I have no doubt at all he's even underplaying a little bit about how hard these sessions can be mentally.

When will Yuzu land 4A
Yes but I'm sure it's all adjusted for the switch too, and probably one of the reasons why he may stretch the introduction of it. He's not going to want a set up of two laps around the rink. He'll go for as short as possible, so to speak. But it won't be the SP because, his words aside, it makes no sense to do so, especially under the new rules, where the BV of the 4A is lowered and the falls really hurt you. A fall would be massively costly and finding himself in something like 3rd group for the FS is no where near ideal. FS is way better for these experiments.

Team USA
That's a great read, thanks for bringing it over. I almost wish there was more because some of the bits are really interesting, the training ones. This part: Jumps are his biggest issues, as otherwise he is such a lovely skater. But even last season, though previously it had gotten better, even his 3A went poof on him. Looking at Zu media day footage, you could actually spot Jason zooming around and there was definitely a 4S try there. Underrotated and fall but he tried. Now this is curious as of course previously it was the 4T and he didn't really like the Sal. So at least in some ways, it may be indication he is mentally in a much better place where he is willing to give the jumps a go even if they are still not ready. But it's ok to do so. Fingers crossed!

When will Yuzu land 4A
He said it'd be the first jumping pass in the FS, where the 4Lo is now.

*pops in* Apart from the ACI, we have another thing happening this week, with pretty big names, so don't forget to check it out too. Should be fun!- When will Yuzu land 4A
He'll try it this season for sure. And yes, deadline i.e. before someone else does. It is unlikely he'd try it at Worlds. Nor would he try a brand new jump at GPF. Nationals is a pressure cooker of various kinds this season. So, ACI/Helsinki/CoR or 4CC. He won't go for it if he thinks chances are low so it really depends where he is at with the practice %s at the moment, and onward.- General Yuzuru Chat
I would gladly share both but somehow the zen doesn't seem to stick. But I do highly recommend the tea at least.- General Yuzuru Chat
Short program. So you can relax because there will be no 4As on Friday. On Saturday .... who knows. But by then you will end up with more if one rotation each day so ... a quint? Ommmm.- 2018/2019 Season Program Announcements

She is! Moi?- 2018/2019 Season Program Announcements
Yes, he's also at ACI. One of the reasons I am so excited is that apart from the Zu of it, we get Jun, Jason, Zhenya, Wakaba and Mae. And of course others but I really want to see the above ^^- 2018/2019 Season Program Announcements
Cinderella? Huh I want to see that R&J is good for him.- General Yuzuru Chat
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack jumps on fire off the shoulder of Helsinki. I watched A-spins glitter in the dark near the Boston Gate. All those moments will not be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to .... be zen now. (or something. *drinks more tea*)- Team Japan
@Rainbow Thank you so much for this translation, that was such a fun read! And it's so good to see him finally healthy and just enjoying himself. Knock on wood, it'll be all good from now on.
