I had to take a break to process Gift's second half... My thoughts: 1) Yes, he tapped his ass and I'm here for it (archive streaming, where art thou?) 2) The videos in between the performances were sometimes painful to watch, but I'm very thankful to him for (again) his lion-heart and honesty (he didn't have to show all that, but he DID) 3) I am amazed at his ability to make the show so intimate and personal, even with the (very) large audience 4) He's the gift that keeps on giving... Of course, I never wanted the show to end, but I was still surprised that he kept performing one program after another; and Seimei will always be the penultimate encore 5) It felt good to hear the audience screaming. At last at last, Yuzu is getting all the applause and cheers that he deserves 6) Also - dance lessons much? Our boy just keeps getting better and better - he's like a sponge, he absorbs everything, and never stops learning Did I say he tapped his ass? Yeah? I'm dead - I'm writing from the grave

Guys, I just got reminded again WHY I love this crazy (amazing) kid... by order of appearance/chronology: 1) He's just too gorgeous (Firebird opening, I'm looking at you, and you as well, new angelic white costume) 2) He's such a sensitive soul (his narration, his emotions, his artistry, the way he sees things and how he makes us understand these) 3) He's such a lion-heart (imagine skating to Rondo when the last one was sooo heart-breaking, and skating to 55k+++ watching, imagine putting such pressure on yourself) Yuzuru Hanyu, you are one of a kind - you're in a league of your own. Never ever change. I will love and support you as long as I live.

I wonder how many of us are watching via livestream...

Happy 5th anniversary to Planet Hanyu! Here’s to the next five years, and more… When did you become a fan of Yuzu? In October 2016. I was just browsing through YouTube, and Yuzu’s SP at Sochi got recommended to me. After that, I was hooked. I was like – where have you been all this time? Suddenly, I discovered a whole new world focused on this wonderful skater – and it’s been simply amazing. Even with all the heartaches – he’s just worth all of it. When and why did you sign up for Planet Hanyu? In July 2017. I was still riding on the high of his victory at Helsinki, and wanted to gobble up anything and everything about him. Did you make any irl friends through Planet Hanyu? Not yet. Have you participated in any group projects on Planet Hanyu? Yup, I submitted birthday wish/fan edit entries for Yuzu’s 26th and 27th birthdays. I also watch the Yuzu Skating Parties regularly on Twitch. Did you attend any meetups with other satellites at competitions? Unfortunately, not at competitions. However, I met other fans at Fantasy On Ice – not sure if they were PH satellites, though. What do you like the most about this forum? I love that in this forum, I can share/rave/rant without judgement from others. I love that in here, people understand what the heck I’m talking about (you don’t get a lot of those in my circle – I live in a tropical country, where ice rinks are almost impossible to find). I love that I can interact with like-minded folks, who have some idea about figure skating in general, and great love/adoration/respect for both Yuzuru the skater, as well as the person. Same goes for Nanami-sensei. I visited Ice Rink Sendai last May and I recognized her quite easily... she looked just like she did in old videos with baby Yuzu And this is why fans go to great lengths to support him in person - he's not just a great figure skater, but also a lovely/wonderful/amazing human being
