More accurately 'Yuzu's career up to now' if we're trying to not jinx it ( : (also, its completely not your fault but found it hilarious that this recreated the same feeling as Marin reacting to Yuzu's 'just work hard' comment since it's a good 10hr+ flight and more likely 24hr+ flight to even try and be on the same continent as Yuzu for me hahaha )

The wording she uses is super polite but also commonly used as a romantic confession, which is why Yuzu laughs and says 'It's like a confession just came out.' Also he asks someone to sing the 'confession song' but I can't tell you what that is haha. Maybe a famous JP song?

Seimei is so perfect for him that I was almost annoyed he didn't save and debut it for the Olympics. It has championship material written all over it and if I weren't worried about judging, I'd go for it too I think Yuzu is definitely more of a 'spellcaster' warrior so yeah, I can't see him embodying a 'traditional' war-and-swords-and-machismo type persona

I think her reference to the tweet was that someone tweeted about Jun Hwa's music for the season (The Planets), not that someone tweeted Yuzu's FS correctly or that she only just saw Yuzu's correct FS program being mentioned on GS. Granted, it is a possibility it may have been guessed roughly around the 8th but I sort of read her post as like 'by the way, someone guessed Yuzu's program correctly at some point on GS'. I just hope he will go with something bold and attack/warrior-themed or something ~dramatic~ to get the crowd fired up (at least...that's what I'd recommend!). My ideal would be Japanese music. No one can do it like Yuzu. Can't see him going with another soft/elegant FS now that he has Chopin and I think if he does playful/jazzy music (I consider Rhapsody in Blue fun/fast-paced), he tends to do it in the SP and not FS. Seimei 2.0 gut feeling still strong AF though. Praying for a brand new arrangement if he does go with it

I've read many articles that emphasise the Olympics is almost entirely a mental battle - all the athletes have the physical ability so the one who wins is the one who can withstand the nerves and perform with their usual ability. I worry a little about Yuzu's mental state since he's said himself (and Brian's said this too) that he's the type to get anxious and put a lot of pressure on himself, and skates more cleanly when he's calmer. He's great at 'chasing' (Worlds, WTT) but it's a different kind of pressure to hold a lead. I wonder if they're getting him to see a sports psychologist to give him some strategies to deal with nerves. A lot of Olympians (granted, summer Olympians) do that but there's a larger stigma around getting mental help in Asia so idk. Regardless, better for him to stay off social media despite it being hard for fans ; u ;

Great points - there was definitely some sort of complex realisation/emotion going on with Yuzu's reaction! Interestingly, I think Plushenko was quite early in realising this - he's been saying Yuzu will pick up his mantle since Sochi, hasn't he? Has he said that for any other skater before? (This also makes me appreciate how fast skating generations move)

Awww...I love Shoma. He's just so earnest and serious and humble off ice. I also find it endearing that Yuzu seems genuinely touched/struck by Shoma's quiet admiration of him since Yuzu's the type to be very overt and carefree with his affection and admiration (*cough Plushenko cough*) so Shoma's like. LOWKEY HEARTFELT PRAISE must stand out. My personality is more like Shoma's so I can imagine how intimidating it must have been to suddenly be a 'peer' and a challenger of someone you admired. Their process of becoming 'friends' was so nice to see

How surreal must it be to see like.... a shrine basically dedicated to your good friend though (then again, Nobu is a public figure himself so I guess he must be used to it) Don't have time to attempt a proper translation but quick points I could catch: I think Yuzu went to the shrine himself and prayed to become the top in the world Basically ALL the ema at the shrine (most of them) were from Yuzu's fans and Nobu was surprised/awed by this Nobu was wondering where to put his ema and then tied it next to an ema with Yuzu's face but was feeling apologetic because his ema half-covered Yuzu's face so switched it around The fan he bumped into was like 'I'm here to see...Yuzuru-sama's ema' lolol she was so adorable and overwhelmed.
