  1. His ankle must be doing really well. O_O
  2. *grabs a katana and rose bush cutting gardening shears* tell your tentacles to back off, douzo....
  3. ...I did not say that Sparkle, how did you get that into my quotes?!
  4. My eyes..... I hope she takes the high road, no need to go down to Eteri levels.
  5. But the damage is done in regards to families already in FS, no?
  6. Guys, Yuzu is the one born on the year of the dog. Boyang is born on the year of the ox. Ironically, Brian is also year of the ox. Just saying.
  7. I have iced coffee, so the beverages are covered. On a serious note, Eteri really didn't help things- when she went on national TV she had a chance to reduce the explosion and settle it down a bit. Instead, she just made it explode a bit more. After that interview, I'm guessing all parents are looking at options now. Medvedeva was Eteri's favorite for a long long time-if she can do that to her favorite, what will happen if your child is not Eteri's favorite and decides to part ways? It's not like she held back punches for Adian or Yulia. Medvedeva leaving, and followed by Moris, and maybe Polina too, it opens options for other skaters in camp Eteri. If she wanted to stop the bloodshed she should have not said anything negative on TV, and at least openly state and do something that indicates she's considering senior women and how to work on skater longevity-whether that's bringing in more coaches, allowing seminars overseas etc, short term technical training (like Kolyada's team). Anything like that would have made her sound much better now and helped contain the mess. But no, instead she's established as a coach who helps take juniors to the initial stages of seniors, but afterwards, has no plan for when a skater hits 18 (or puberty for that matter). And that's a strong impression that won't change easily- as most skaters and parents if they can, would plan around it. And that leads to a vicious cycle as she won't be given a chance. If I were her, I'd go beg Tarasova or Moskvina for advice on this-just even on a consultancy basis. But nope, she probably won't do that.
  8. ehem this: https://youtu.be/0VNiRHOKnKA Yeah, this would totally be joined in by Boyang.
  9. Gold jackets, gold blades, gold sneakers? Of all the skaters, Boyang would probably be the skater to join Yuzu in an on-ice rendition of the Koi Dance.
  10. It might just a side function of wechat and weibo. Both have access to your geonavigation program for your phone, and if you post pictures etc on wechat at least, you can opt to allow the app to show your location. I've never used it to track people though. Honestly, if not even long term, I'd be really happy to see a spidey, wakabond, Yuzu, Medo all smiling when training in summer at TCC. Wonder if there's going to be an interview with Yuzu for Boyang-will Boyang be Yuzu's new training partner for the short term? When he gets to TCC, he can finally learn from the best at Ninjaing. And then he and Yuzu can help each other take trolling to a whole new level.
  11. If she wants quads, maybe Plush would work. There's also Panova. Med is probably the most reliable Russian woman skater-she skated pretty clean even with injury. As for the other skaters-well you have Sotskova, Radionova and Alina, right? Of which, 1 isn't that consistent, 1 isn't marked that well and technically could get passed easily, and 1 who might be hitting the puberty bug this season. Who's the safest bet?
  12. No, Rus Fed wouldn't do that, it'll be self-sabotage of the stupidest sort if they did. And I don't see Rusfed as that stupid yet. There are other coaches, other teams, there's no point in sacrificing 3 potential spots if Med still competes well, just for the ego of one coach. As for the Trusova comment- what I heard on twitter was that Sasha didn't practice during her vacation, so her jumps when she got back was not that good, which pissed off Eteri. So coupled with rumors that Trusova might be going too, I do wonder a bit. If Trusova leaves....
  13. The more substantial one is she's going to Orser, and Raf essentially wished them luck (so I guess that rules out him).
  14. Something awful would crack in me if Med does end up going to CSKA (or Panova or even Plush), and then flies over to train abroad at least part time (maybe summer through sept then go back to russia for nats). That is a power move to really torch everything. Speaking of which, I saw through the twitter grapevine that apparently Eteri got pissed at Trusova's parents for taking her out for vacation during New Year's without permission? And that led to some inconsistency in Sasha's quads in practice later on. So, given that, is Sasha actually leaving too? o_O
  15. I'm amused by Eteri viewing Brian as a threat-well that about confirms a transfer to TCC, else why is Brian a "threat"? But then that also implies she views Med still as a threat, then that says that Med should have some more years ahead of her, competition wise. And more importantly RusFed would not play politics against Med. Not bad not bad. Plus, why should they, when internationally Med is working for RusFed, the most they could do is be more neutral. Speaking of which, Med if she decides to switch countries, could still be fine and safe from RusFed politics. Judges from other Feds might be less inclined to mark her down, because she's now a viable alternative, politically, to russian dominance in ladies. Kind of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" type of mentality. And besides, there are countries that would not mind 3 spots at worlds, and do not require you to have blood ties to the country to become a citizen.
  16. Med is being nice, if Eteri did that to me, I would have gone to TCC and barter an agreement to switch my flag to CSKA. Say bai to half of political clout, dear former coach, and yeah, that would be pretty dirty and likely lead to an exodus. As for Polina, would not be surprised if Eteri tries to block all transfers. It is an issue of threat control, and making sure a good portion of the top Russian ladies are within her control. She then gets to dictate how they compete with each other.
  17. ID yourself- I'm those guys looking on in awe, standing at the barriers when I should probably be skating my butt off during practice.
  18. Oh, so she should have done it the first time. Well, heard that Ilia Skirda (junior men's skater) also left Eteri this season. So she is shedding. Wonder what would happen now if Panova's team manages to win against Eteri girls.
  19. How about Eteri call Brian for advice? I mean, there was a coach who had a devastating break up with a student and bounced back very well. >_>
  20. Well if you advertise yourself as a place for younger bodies, and make it known, what do you expect people to do once they get over a certain "young" age limit and stuff? Frankly, the fact that Alina and Alena haven't started looking elsewhere is a miracle.
  21. He doesn't like beaches because the sand gets between his toes. But why Maldives? Send him off to england to the forest so he can go after the poohs.
  22. @Lilona @Yatagarasu: to add to the damage pile, I hear rumors that Moris is also leaving camp Sambo 70, and there's even stuff about Trusova leaving too? o_O Talk about bloodshed...
  23. well, Zu was in TCC in March, and it's possible this was negotiated in March.
  24. well I hope hell breaks loose after my working hours. She could give trollZu lessons.
  25. what if tcc adds coaches?
