  1. I think it's stunning and fitted him perfectly. I remember hating it at first but now I find is so sweet and lovely.
  2. I'm pretty sure the headthingy wasn't worn in the performance. And it seems Johnny had extra lace left over from designing Yuzu's Olympic costume.
  3. Looks good! What is that thing on his head though? oh dear And having trouble embedding images. Here's a beautiful shot of the waist detail from behind: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-G6LUKxt6gns/USVADGbFdAI/AAAAAAAAetY/4Y3pk5cUd60/s4800/JWV_Sun_exp_IMG_5066_e2.jpg I think the headband is protective gear but it couldjust be a headband.
  4. Something like this would be pretty. I hadn't seen it before. http://archive.binkysjohnnyweirblog.com/2013/02/something-beautiful.html Sorry, I didn't mean to imply it did. (It looks like my keyboard omitted some of the sentence and I don't remember what I wrote >_<) I meant to point out why I and everyone in the skating world, it seems, finds him so likable. He's the very definition of good sportsmanship!
  5. I'm a bit guilty of it myself so I guess I can spot it more easily. I also went to school with an OGM, though they were really bad at it (and an epically sore loser - not many friendships were forged.) The way they were spoken of at the Olympics by commentators, though, they may have finally mastered the skill. You know he'd pull it off, though. Change the pink to gold, add more sparkles etc.
  6. Easy. What Johnny costumes hasn't he worn yet?
  7. OT sorry I think he knows he has to balance his intensity and he does a really good job of it (Brian and Javi may disagree) - his parents did a fantastic job, too. Top athletes are just born fiercely competitive and without that affability (and insane cuteness) they can be really difficult to stomach. I find him pretty friggin' scary a lot of the time (not that I'm complaining. :P) I agree about his versatility being highlighted by LGC. I was shocked (again - once I got past the shock of the purple pants) how flawlessly he pulled it off. His other programs seem to be various facets of his own personality, the exception being PW which, while being the most similar to LGC, was way beyond him at the time. Though FaOI showed us he's grown into it since 2014, I still think he doesn't suit that sort of plain, "masculine" sexiness - his natural slinkiness gets in the way. Prince was a perfect fit for him. Kudos to JButt!
  8. I'm sorry, I should have put a warning before posting something like that.
  9. +3GOE dork and then (The white was so good, damnit!)
  10. I thought it was pretty SCANDOLO myself when I saw it and it took me a long time to appreciate the brilliance of the program - now oneof my favourites - because I just couldn't look without cringing. My mother can't watch, either, it though UA runthroughs seem to be okay. (it really looks so much better in UA. I keep saying it but I'd be fine if he performed everything in UA. So much sharper!)
  11. Damn that legendary Japanese hospitality! お・も・て・な・し
  12. You just need a pair of these source
  13. That white was so much cooler, I'm still mourning it. The whole program was a different beast in purple. They should have just dyed the ice purple for him!
  14. Three years? Good gravy! Well, yes, of course it was Prince, it's just that Brian's monstrosity was similar and the photos made me laugh too much not to share.
  15. Srsly. Have more respect for your Living National Treasure! I felt personally insulted. I did find a huge stack of Ghana QUO card pamphlets at the supermarket that appeared ON THE DAY OF HIS WD so that was nice and traumatic. I took a few and they were still there 3 days later so then I just went for it I took a whole heap. Why people don’t hoard this stuff, I have no idea.
  16. I hope the 2014 version is in the cute falls thread already. He was such a happy and dorky champion of the woooorld! I wouldn't mind seeing him perform this again, either. It also makes me curious about how Riverdance might suit him, especially considering that Shae-Lynn's is the best ever skated.
  17. *Looks guiltily at her bookshelves full of dusty classical texts that have sat untouched since April 1st, 2017*
  18. This is what I'm most interested about, too. Please share his answers with us if you ever get the opportunity.
  19. Ninomiya Kazunari but only because he's starring in some foodie movie that has a tie-in with a product that was next to the snacks I bought everyday. TBH I had Yuzu tunnel vision so I didn't really take much notice.
  20. Is a really bad way to advertise laundry products. I'd be pissed if my purple pants came out looking like that.
  21. Haha well I guess I wasn't really hanging out in the cleaning section of big supermarkets and I don't think that campaign was around when i was there. (Thank god. It's so creepy. O_O Why they do that to him? It's not hard to make him look pretty!)
  22. Hoooooow? Does she live in the Sendai exhibition? I hunted very, very hard but I didn't see any of the train ads, the big Ghana ad was hidden in an unappealing subway walkway, and hardly any konbini had clearfiles and they weren't exactly flying out he door, either. The only place I really saw him was in the FS section of bookshops, squashed between motorbikes and fishing.
  23. Princepiration from Brian at the 1984 Olympics
