There was a previous media day that only happened in September, which was after his lisfranc injury. Considering he probably received his programs only when he came back from FaOI, adapting to new rules and getting himself back into competitive shape, I think expecting the media day to only be late August, early September is probably best. Especially if, like after Boston, he is getting two new programs.

IK just tends to translate whatever they catch and sometimes the way they do so makes it seem it's fact when the people they're translating from are just fans like everyone else operating on the same limited information. Additionally, they also have their 'opinions', which aren't based on any actual facts (like the ISU being involved in Boyang not going to TCC). I appreciate their translating efforts a lot but they should pay more attention on how they transmit certain translations. I still have a beef with them for translating a random and old sentence from Raf about wishing Nathan would be more like Yuzu, without having any care for context (post-GPF 2015, when Nathan was still a junior and Yuzu had just done THAT), which led to a lot of people being mad at Raf needlessly.

The piano got more languid and soft, less frantic, which is a nice change since there were a few parts early on where I felt the choreography wasn't enough to keep up with the music but that isn't as noticeable with the later iterations.

Yuzu is back in Toronto!

It's also important to note Brian said he talked briefly with Boyang during the show they both did in Korea, after the arrangement had already been discussed with CSA, and didn't seem to come out of that thinking it wouldn't happen. So what did change meanwhile, one wonders.

So many possibilities. Brian could have decided there were too many cooks in Boyang's kitchen (his old coaches, CSA); Boyang could have decided he didn't want to train long term in Canada (and thus didn't even go for summer training), CSA may have decided they didn't want any long term foreign arrangements (so the junior boys and the ice dance teams are only temporary?), etecetera. Whatever is true, I'm really sad about this.

Take it with a grain of salt but TSL is saying that they were told by their inside sources Boyang is no longer going to TCC. They then speculate about the reasons and wonder if it was because of egos between Lori Nichol and Brian Orser/David Wilson, since Lori did Boyang's programs with no input from the TCC team.

But why would there be Visa issues for him now when he got them just fine in June? He was in Canada already. Or are Canadian long term work visas a more complicated issue?
