  2. YUZU PENS!!
  3. I watched Nadal/Alcaraz last night too (wow! I'll be following Alcaraz to see how he does, he looks an amazing player at 18! Bit like Yuzu was when he was a late teen !) I am a Rafa fan and a Lewis Hamilton fan too (F1) - Lewis is 37 and pretty much at the top of his game too. People tend to think of the physical fitness needed when they talk of age/retirement - but these elite sportspeople in their mid 30s and 40s also have such mental strength, and Yuzu has that in spades too! I'm in the don't-retire-please-Yuzu camp, he has even better years to come imo....but of course it must be tough when your own governing body at home and internationally don't seem to give you the support others get so all of us would understand if he did decide to r.....interestingly the Formula 1 governing body don't seem to like Lewis much either (of course it couldn't possibly have anything to do with him being a person of colour in a " white sport", or him being an activist for social justice including BLM, or being wildly popular...(rolls eyes))
  4. Just seen a tweet by a Nfthan fan saying N has dominated FS for 4 seasons and should get more recognition and interest! I laughed a bit, then had a bit of a think about it, and actually, 2 of the last 4 years have been dominated by a virus, a global pandemic, where top skaters had much less opportunity to compete at all or against each other, and some skaters, like Yuzu for example, could not train at all in their usual environment and lost all their usual support systems. Some skaters were very wary of Covid and others less so - for Yuzuru, he (uniquely amongst top men skaters I think) had to consider his own health given his respiratory condition as well as his public health duty. That caused him some anxiety I think, and also maybe influenced his decision re GP series 20/21 so he had less "match" experience. He also had to manage the 10 yr anniversary of the 2011 disaster with a couple of biggish earthquakes thrown in just before WC21, all significant in terms of managing trauma. Then I realised that in the other 2 years, Yuzu was either recovering from injury or injured...so the Universe, hand in hand with ISU USSF JSF, really made it much easier for N (though do recognise the virus gave rise to an increase in hatred/racism towards Asian Americans which I am sure N will have been affected by), and very very hard for Yuzu over the last quad. Maybe we all know this already, but I hadnt fully realised it until I put it all together following reading the Nfthan tweet!
  5. I have thought about this comment numerous times to day - it's so funny!!
  6. Well I am so glad I posted then, if you now have a new appreciation for ALL of Yuzuru's delectable performance apparel !! ( I hope Dory also got some love in your apology??)
  7. Thank you!! Yes I'd asked the OP on twitter for the link which they sent me, and I was where's the rest lol!! I feared this was it - still it's great to see him skate to a bit of Owl City, I had never seen this clip before! (How, after 7 years of following him!! I keep thinking I have seen everything, but of course I haven't!)
  8. Saw this on twitter but we don't seem to have it in our video section - its 2013 DOI part of Yuzuru's "Take it all away" by Owl City - I'd love to see his whole performance, such a fabulous performer, so at ease (seemingly!) at such a young age! If we don't have it can someone upload if we want to keep it as I am not sure how to! If we do have it, forget it, or if we have the whole version of his performance, please point it out to me!! (sorry, I never seem very good at finding things, even with searches, I don't know why! )
  9. Shizuka's 3.11 thoughts today - google translate: It has been 11 years since the Great East Japan Earthquake. Think about what you can do now and what you need. May the difficulties be overcome. May there be hope and healing. I strongly wish for peace in the world and peace of mind. If I could do something for someone somewhere ... Think positive. 10:21 AM · Mar 11, 2022·Twitter for iPhone
  10. how do you know this please?
  11. Sorry if this has been posted - link to see Yuzu on YouTube in 9hours 3.50pm Japan edit: first post on page 7000 - sounds lucky to me!! This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  12. OMGosh thank you so much, saviour of our saviour!! (not meant in a religious way ofc!! but he does save many of us at points in our lives!) Not many skaters do things for Yuzuru, he's always doing stuff for others, so that is why Mark joins Katya (hug when he needed it), Shinyue (making Xinyu carry Yuzu/buying BDD for Yuzu, taking pics of Yuzu and posting them), Boyang (panda hat, hanging out, pics), Xinyu (lifting, queuing and buying BDD), Maddi(fall rescuer) in the hearts of Yuzu's fans Please add any other worthy skaters to list if you so wish! EDIT: ah how could I forget Keegan with the flag?? Roman with his YT comments about 4A??

  14. My main reason for posting this is that the green pants made me smile!
  15. https://www.advertimes.com/20220309/article378719/ The Lotte b&w pics and quotes are in this publication today. These photos are beautiful, this thought from Lotte was beautiful - I cry at how much impact Yuzuru the person has on others because that is so beautiful too. This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].
  16. This art reminded me of Requiem, and the undoubted influence of the magnificent and terrible sea on Yuzuru's life, and of course his skating
  17. I love a man who appreciates his mum
  18. If Sapporo is awarded the OWG 2030 then Yuzu surely MUST appear at the Gala skating WL or NS or HYK or all of them, or a new beautiful programme, to a world audience of whom many will never have seen skating like it - they certainly wont have seen anything like it in the competitive skating at the 2030 Olys! .... we have been so lucky!
  19. SAME!!! Hearing about Yuzuru's withdrawal today, despite me having tickets for Worlds, I only felt relief that he has withdrawn - ofc he needs his ankle to heal, but my main reason for the sense of relief is I understand NC is attending Worlds (confirmed?? not sure) and I could not bear to see Yuzu beaten by him again with underscoring of Yuzu and inflated scoring of Nathan - it's unbearable tbh. The last time I saw Yuzuru live was Dec 2019 at GPF and I dont want to experience that type of humiliation of Yuzuru again (ridiculous 40 point gap!!!) (although the pooh rain was fabulous, the audience was fabulous at the victory ceremony with Yuzu being the evident champ in most people's eyes with the loudest and most enthusiastic response, and Yuzuru really felt that and noticed it, and also, the most beautiful Swanyu at the gala ) Anyway Mr Lurker Hanyu, rest and heal, wherever you skate next in whatever capacity, competitive or professional, we will be watching and loving every second of your performances and supporting you, as always!
  20. I haven't seen any expert agree with Javi's "analysis" yet...
