To be ratified he needs to land it. It was not ratified. Japan media have used the word certified, meaning it wasn't downgraded to a 3A, that it was a quad axel and that it was underrotated so lost 2.5 points from its base value of 12.5. So it WAS a quad axel, but underrotated and not landed. (not sure if that's what you are asking - maybe you are just asking if it's ratified - no it isn't and never was) Please correct me if I am wrong, anyone!

I always have to say they ARE very stretchy though! He definitely has more muscle mass than he had in 2014/15! I wonder which of the 2 costumes he will wear?? They are both beautiful.

After the Men's and Women's FS in the TE there were some awful tweets form US citizens being very critical of Vincent and Karen (FS fans from outside the US were responding about how mean it was to treat your own athletes like that) - the US team could of course end up now with an Olympic Gold so I guess they'll be getting praised to the heavens if that happens - all about the medals, not about the athletes or their own experience, and hard work they have put in. A very non-humanist perspective. Oh I see Evgeni Plushenko has posted in support of Kamila and Eteri today on IG....figure skating is a total mess.

I wonder what all of us would do in his situation - I'd be fuming...but I'd also realise that there is no way I'd ever get scored fairly for my efforts, and that Yuma would be likely to surpass my scores, and Ilia if he continues with jumping success. I'd want one more good happy wining tournament - a GP event or 2 where I could show everyone my 2 fabulous clean programmes (he can do that easily when no 4A or ice holes!!). And maybe a last GPFinal (dependant on who goes!) He's not in an easy position is he....

I'd love to see Yuzuru skate Rondo and Tenchi for a season, where he is healthy and doesn't have to concentrate on 4A. From what he has said about not surpassing his 9 year old self but at least now being able to jump together with him, I wonder if his feeling currently is that he has done enough with his 4A. Someone else, if they are brave enough, and willing to sacrifice health and points also in competition, will have to take up the mantle of trying to achieve a ratified 4A in international competition. In his interview after the SP he spoke in English and expressed how much he loves skating to that music - I think he will want to show the whole world what a perfect Rondo Capriccioso by the great Yuzuru Hanyu looks like don't you? and a perfect Tenchi with all the passion of Olympic Tenchi (it was really superb, despite the falls....well even because of the falls, Lord Kenshin also failed in battle twice after all).
