Well I think this has also been brought up before, but isn't the fact that he didn't do any show last season help shift his peak timing to the later half? He had some issues adjusting throughout the season but not so much with the programmes themselves, it's more bc of new jump combos, and that kind of thing can only be improved in competitions imo. But of course the Olympics is earlier than Worlds so I do think having a few shows before competitions start wouldn't hurt to help him get used to the new routines faster and also to reduce any negative impact on his reputation with judges I don't think missing shows played an important role in shifting his peak. It was the injury after of all. IMO he could do better LGC at the beginning of the season after trying it in shows. Practice run-throughs are not enough to get used to this kind of program.

It looks suspiciously like him haha lol seriously, is it just someone using his name or is really legit? i'm curious, because if it's legit then we can have a better guess as to the type of music he likes and so narrows down the potential list of songs we're guessing that he may skate to... I keep an eye on this account for possible updates, but I am not really sure that it is his channel. The only proof is that the H&L playlist appeared long before the program itself. As for the Swan Lake and the black swan idea it would be wonderful but I'am afraid compeletely impossible. He already skated to this music ("White Legend") and did Swan EX recently. And Swan Lake music is so overused in FS already. But we can dream...

I'd love smth simple for example for dance EX, or white pants would be really lovely in the Gala light )) I also don't know why Yuzu is such a fan of velvet pants (I'm ok with them really) it's just the ones from PW looked very good on him. I guess he loves black velvet pants because they absorb the light and make his legs look longer. :s_yes I am sure we'll see more of them next season alongside the gradient and something blue.

I have a wild guess - maybe he'd want to do LGC again? To get it clean. And it suits as a show. (Plus in the show lights the white costume may finally work...) :devil: I had the same wild thought about LGC, but with that jump layout it is hardly possible in a show. Unless there is a new, "show" version of it. But I will be happy with any of his competitive programs "revisited" (Seimei, Chopin :love: , Etude).

Turandot is a great choice. Yuzu will need something similarly epic that's easy to sell. At least he knows exactly what he's going to be up against before making final decisions about his Olympic season FS. Yes, in a sense Shoma did him a favor announcing his music for both programs so early. But I have to agree about Turandot. Although it is overused it is still a great choice for a winner program. If you do it clean, of course. :grin:

He does seem to attack more when he's chasing after the SP but he's also had stellar FS performances with good SPs: GPF 2014, NHK 2016 (first in both segments), NHK 2015/GPF 2015. And yet, at GPF 2014 he did have something to prove after his GP series results and NHK ends up being a result of his frustration at losing to Patrick at SC; GPF 2015, in fact, could almost be considered an outlier in a pattern. But I don't think we can really ascribe a pattern of if he's good at a SP he'll immediately bomb the FS. If there is a pattern, it is not "good SP bad FS", it is the contrary, the comebacks after SP. His own frustration is what fires him up most of all. Actually Javi called him very consistent.

He delivered when the pressure was highest (Worlds, after 5th place). I am not sure it is only the pressure issue. It is clear for me that when he is a chaser and not the chased one it works wonders for him. All the season 2016-2017 is a demonstration of that. Didn't he admit in one of his interviews that the LP at Worlds would have been different if not for the mistakes in SP? And WTT is another clear example. He was so angry at himself after the SP that he decided to try a new quad combo in the LP :smile:
