Yes, I know them, their approach is more from ice dance perspective, but their videos are great to learn about steps and basic skating skills, because ice dance consists basically of different steps. These videos helped me a lot with inside forward 3-turns and backward 3-turns. I am still struggling with LFI 3-turn. It is kind of mental problem. I broke my wrist trying it the first time and I now have to warm up enough to be able to do it well. Probably it is all about edges and my coach pointed this out one day. If you enter a 3-turn on the flat of the blade it almost impossible to get it right.

He changed his FS layout on the fly at 4CC and WTT. These weren't permanent changes but still. Judging by his recent interviews and Chopin perfomances at FaOI, we are about to see more improvisation in his programs next season, including jumps. He obviously likes the YOLO thing. Didn't he say: "I am like musician who tends to improvise at each perfomance" (source)

I have Wifa Prima Hobby. These are for first skating classes (single jumps and simple spins). It is not the cheapest option, there are other brands with cheaper boots for the same skating level but mine are so comfortable! Wearing them was a pleasure from the first day. When you are not so young you start to appreciate these things . Normally these boots come with very simple blades, so I changed it with Jackson Ultima Mirage, these are intermediate ones, so I will not have to upgrade soon. I have just re-read the list of possible music choices and I think we can exclude already any piano pieces, especially piano concertos by Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff, because of Chopin. I am not even sure about classic music for FS. The most probable choice will be some OST (hello, Seimei ) or musical. Look at previous senior seasons: 2011-2012 classic SP and OST FS 2012-2013 blues rock SP and musical FS 2013-2014 blues rock SP and OST FS 2014-2015 classic SP and musical FS 2015-2016 classic SP and OST FS 2016-2017 rock SP and modern classic japanese FS 2017-2018 classic SP and ? FS So there are always completely different music styles for SP and FS and I don't think it will change a lot. Still we can get classic music FS, but something very far away from Chopin. Of course Yuzu can prove me completely wrong after all . I like The Man in the Iron Mask OST very much. Yagudin already skated to it and won OGM, but it was long time ago and this music is not overused, so why not? It has it all to make a dramatic FS.

When you are skating backwards you should bend slightly forward, this way you will not fall on your back. I also did some off-ice jump training. It seems relatively easy and is good to gain leg power, but once on the ice the feeling is so different. And 1 full rotation seems almost impossible. To get the feeling of Axel I usually do the waltz jump, it has the same take off and landing but only 0,5 rotation.

This and the EX in Yokohama. I don't a have the feeling it is off-season finally after all the FaOI excitement.
