I don't understand any of these interviews if they have no English, so I"m just lost with all of them, especially since he's wearing the same thing in each one. I will just wait until some time later when some kind soul translates them. It's pretty much the same stuff probably anyway.

Was it him who named it or did the restaurant claim this? If it is just a pic of food, well, that is probably served in 1000 restaurants in Toronto.
-
What Is the name? Toronto fans wont care...tourists however...

Lol. Seeing that Yuzu actually does go out somewhere in Toronto besides tcc, the grocery store and home is the biggest story for me this morning.

Just ignore the korean haters, or whoever they are. Online comments mean nothing unless you pay attention to them and worry about them.

Maybe he's rethinking this *being the top Japanese skater* thing and is probably more thankful than ever that yuzu is around!! Edit: my dad only remembers Katarina Witt and her *assets*

My sister is a convert too. She lives in Toronto and so I always jokingly tell her to keep an eye out for "my little Japanese boy. " She's pretty busy and had no clue who he was, although being a figure skating fan from years ago she knows about TCC and Brian and that he trains there. On Friday night she called me around midnight (during the final flight) and gushed, " oh, I looove him!! He is so cute, he is so good " etc.. My mom is more of a Shoma fan, though, which is also fine. At least they are all aware!!

It's a Dutch thing for speedskating.....according to CBC commentary...

I do not take his being so open about his injuries as prepping his fans for any major announcement (wel, maybe for not going to Worlds), rather, I see it as he is finally able to be open and honest now that the goal is achieved and he thinks fans won't worry so much about his condition (we will always worry). He is so used to hiding things because he is competing and does not want to make excuses, but now there is no reason to hide. It can also be cathartic to talk about things that have been kept inside, to lessen the burden, so I think it is just him being open now that there is no reason for secrecy. And, his success over his trials can serve as motivation and inspiration for so many people... he likes psychology so I am sure he is aware of how much of an impact his statements can make.

Teehee... those 2 SC silvers might have been his biggest motivation... I hope he keeps going until he conquers SC and 4CC!!! Not lofty ambitions like Olys, but thorns in his side!!

I doubt he will give up. Currently, he is in pain which will affect his skating, competitively or no. He will want his injury to get better because I doubt he wants to spend the rest of his life in pain.. and I doubt he wants to do shows just doing easy triples. There is no timeline for recovery now, no rush or need to stay hidden, so this time will be easier than after Boston.

I think there's a very good chance we'll see Yuzu at the Tokyo Olympics in some capacity!!
-
At World's, I'll support Shoma and Boyang (safe assumption Javi and Yuzu don't go). If Javi is there, well, I"ll root for Javi to go out with a bang. The judges have shown they will go with an all around program, and maybe his coaches will come up with some encouraging words that will motivate him (he said they'd need to for him to go). Nathan may have learned all those quads, but he sure needs to learn a lot about everything else.

Calm, calm. Just because he said the doctor told him he could not help him more, it does not mean he meant never. He may have just meant that in their current situation, with the Olympics coming up, he could do no more.. as in, in that specific time frame nothing more was possible. The doctor could hardly tell him to rest more, or that he needed surgery etc., because there was no time left for any of that. At that point Yuzu realized he had to deal with his situation right then and train, and not think that it would get better... it was as good as it was going to get before the Olympics. Now that Olympic are over, there is time for rest/surgery/therapy etc..
-
Ah, he's not doing anything until he gets his ankle x-rayed... smart. Not even the gala, yuzu. Time to finally be selfish and look after yourself... Shoma can take care of World's...
-
I'm sure he's glad it is already over!!
-
I would love that to the moon and back... but it won't happen, although clinics would probably happen.

The only things i understand are the jumps, lol!

He is much better in English than he thinks he is.... I was loading the periscope and before the sound came on i could tell he was speaking in english just by the face he was making, lol.

I cannot get over how ugly the orange coat is... colour and shape...lol.

I am not crying over this news. We knew he was still injured because he left his return to training to the last minute, and the joy we saw on his face indicated being here was a victory. And, we knew there was nothing he would not do in order to compete... and heal after. (Roger Federer said last year he would basically break his leg trying to win Aussie Open and take months after that to recover if need be, so this idea of sacrifice for the goal is familiar). I am not surprised at all that he basically yolo 'd the Olympics. This injury is not necessarily career ending either. Time off, surgery...he needs to have the injury evaluated again so that he knows his options before he decides on his competitive future. He can take all the time in the world because he's Yuzu, 2x Olympic champion.

I think Dice wanted to dye his hair blond, secretly!!!

Boston was different. He was way ahead and hiding an injury... basically full of anxiety and stressed. Here he is only a few pts up, Brian will not let him go crazy in practice, and he is feeling relief and joy after an injury. Mentally, he is totally in a different place.

Ah, just woke up after a few hours of sleep and my crazy pain meds side effects have worn off... thank God!! Yuzu, such a great start but work isn't even half over. I hope he goes to bed and has a good sleep because morning brings the hardest task of all.... and sleeping well after the day and all the emotions and excitement and media... could be tough. Stay focused, yuzuru!!!
