The women's event was so healing, especially compared to the nightmare of the Beijing Olympics. It was so nice to see so many women be happy and celebrate each other. I admit I'm not a huge fan of Alysa's skating, but I love her personality and what she gives to the sport. It's amazing how she came back to compete for herself and doesn't force herself to do anything. Very important that she notes she doesn't diet or restrict herself for the sport. (Russian federation should take note.) Really hope that Alysa ignites a revolution in the sport in that way. She was just so happy to be there.
