This fanartist says Yuzu's legs are so long, the artist has to be careful when drawing him, so his legs don't spill out of the canvas.

Source Guide-san is moved to tears by the performance of the pair skaters Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara. Nova-kun sees him and comforts him by offering him a hug. Suddenly, other Echoes fairies also line up to get a hug. Naturally, Haru-chan steps up as the organizer of the queue.

2025 - 2026 Competitions: ISU events and Olympics (Milan)
yuzuangel replied to rockstaryuzu's topic in 2024-2025 ISU Events
I can't believe they were so strict with the Japanese skaters but not Alysa. Anyway, the gold was Kaori's to lose, I'm gutted for her. Regardless, Japan's having a very successful olympics. good for them. -
The women's event was so healing, especially compared to the nightmare of the Beijing Olympics. It was so nice to see so many women be happy and celebrate each other. I admit I'm not a huge fan of Alysa's skating, but I love her personality and what she gives to the sport. It's amazing how she came back to compete for herself and doesn't force herself to do anything. Very important that she notes she doesn't diet or restrict herself for the sport. (Russian federation should take note.) Really hope that Alysa ignites a revolution in the sport in that way. She was just so happy to be there. Gutted for Kaori, I was so hoping for an individual gold for her but it was not to be... to lose by only 2ish points is devastating. Happy to see she was celebrating on the podium later. I'll always love her. I will say that I actually wished Nakai got the gold over Alysa as my personal skating preference but I won't complain. Have to say after watching the women the event is so much better without all of the Eteri girls. I know Eteri had one AIN athlete in there, but, wow, that girl had no personality. The choreography is robotic and there was no joy. We really need all the Alysa attitude we can get.

Hi everyone! I hope this topic is ok in here. I'm struggling to find full competitions anywhere as Youtube and co are cracking down on uploads like these and over the years many also got lost. I was wondering if anyone still knows where to access or find them? I'm looking for as many as I can find - from Nationals, Grand Prix Tournaments, Worlds, Olympics to even his Junior Years. Anything would be highly appreciated! Thank you!

The article mentions that whilst Gold Medals, especially those won by Team GB, are celebrated, it is also stories of overcoming hardship in order to make a comeback and succeed, which Brits find inspiring. The British love an underdog story and will often support athletes who face greater challenges compared with those who are seen as having advantages. Yuzu is exactly the kind of athlete who overcame injury on his journey to Olympic triumph that would be seen as a truly remarkable feat.

Wow Terry mentioned Yuzu after Mone's skate (yay Mone!) First Yuzu mention I've heard from USA coverage Hoping for a Japanese sweep of the women's podium, that would really make a statement, but wouldn't mind Alysa making it on there. I'm happy Alysa is back and skating for the love of the sport. Poor Amber though, she was so crushed after her SP. Her 3A was great and I wish she wouldn't be so hard on herself. I do think that compared to everyone else in that final group her skating was pretty slow and sluggish and I'd be surprised if she makes the top 5. But as we know from the men's event, ice is slippery and anything can happen.

@Yuzurujenn I just watched the Women's Special and in the end comments for Mone Chiba, I heard A. Dumont or N. Péchalat say (I quote): "Mone is from Sendai and she used to play with Yuzuru Hanyu when she was little : who remembers her gliding towards Yuzu with her pink gloves, all smiles? And you, being an expert, maybe you'll find it on France 2 Sport." -

I wouldn't think that was the case, personally. He got the silver in the World Championship and he usually does quite well. Of course I don't think he was expecting a Gold at all but the Silver was within his reach, in fact the numbers were so close at the top that Jun missed on a podium by less than a point! The Olympic stage is very intimidating but some will deal with pressure better than others. I think Ilia's case for sure was an extreme, with the pressure from his federation, the media, etc, you need to be really sound mentally at the time of the skate to not let it crush you. If you have a crack in your peace of mind and you let doubt in... I feel like that is where everything came crashing down for him, if I remember it right he said he felt severely overwhelmed at the time of the opening pose, so before he event attempted any element and failed it. And on the other topic he went over, I think most figure skating fans would like to see a shift where artistry is more valued and compensated. We can not fault the young skaters for loading their routines with jumps when that is what the sport is currently rewarding above all else, even giving away components and GOE to strong jumpers. There is no incentive for them to do well in artistry, complicated sequences, exquisite edges, when doing couple more jumps will reward them much more. It would be lovely to see this change, and components to be more respected, reflect what they are supposed to and really make a difference in a balanced way. Right now the weight lays overwhelmingly on the technical score. I was rooting for Sui and Han but the Japanese couple are really amazing, very deserved. -

Hello guys, a long time lurker here. I read a discussion recently where people debated who is/was the toughest skater mentally, like being able to deliver under pressure at the main competitions. A lot of people were proposing Anna Shcherbakova, which kinda makes sense. But I think her career was too short to really count (and the main pressure and hype at the Olys wasn't put on her anyway, it was mostly Sasha and Kamila). I do think there are strong arguments in favor of Yuzuru (especially the way he handeled the 2018 Olys). What do you think?
