I do it but it feels awkward and i don't center it very often. and he keeps telling me to pull it back while i'm like "i'm pulling it back as much as i can!" so lately i've been doing my spins from a standstill/push for a while and finally got the hang of how to do it, and one of my mental breakthroughs was realizing that good centered spin entries feel like my left shoulder is being stretched as if someone was pulling it back...to which I was like "wait that sounds familiar.......ohhhhhh." apparently i had been keeping my arm back super far behind me but my shoulders were not pulled back - no wonder it felt uncomfortable and twisted. sometimes my coach tells me to "turn out your foot" and i turn out my foot but NOT my hips lol. i remember once he told me he never saw someone turn out their foot so much without their hips turning out at all

Good centered spins for me, usually involve a feeling (going into the spin) as if someone took my left arm and shoulder and was leading it around a pole. Rather than go against that pull, I lean into the pole/pull, and voila centered spins. Wait till you try camel spins...ah the times I sweep the ice with my chest. It worked for me a bit better, but is considered *very weird* by rinkmates.
