News segment from Saga and Kyuushuu

 

Hanyuconomy (Fanyuconomy) around 400-500M yen generated in the Saga shi and surrounding prefecture from the RE_PRAY weekend 

 

Approximate currency conversion rates:

2.4 - 3 M Euros

2.6 - 3.2 M USD

2.1 - 2.6 M GBP sterling

 

Have long suspected that similar spending is seen elsewhere but the economic effects from Fanyu spending on hospitality and transport is probably less easy to isolate in a larger city, say Tokoyo or Kyoto where visitor numbers both domestic and international are already high. Saga is smaller city and the show was outside of the more usual tourist seasons so the spending patterns of visitors was more obvious.

Given the fabulous welcome Saga and Kyushu gave to Yuzu and fans, it is wonderful to hear that the city and prefectures benefitted from Yuzu having held a show there.
