I love to start a day from watching interviews I don't understand And it looks like we'll got even more I find it very funny that there is a special Yuzu watch, since I don't think I ever saw him wearing one himself. And he has many of them Thank you very much for translation of GROWING @kaerb

I like his POTO program! Worlds 2015 FS was the first time I saw him. And GPF 2014 FS was really dramatic and I like that performance. But I agree with everything what was said about Butler's singing in the past ETA: I was thinking today about his new EX and I'm dreaming about rock music and black costume with messy hair and eyeliner But I'm not very hopeful about it
-
I hope both
-
And on Chopin music cut. How dare he not include my favourite moment from over 8 min piece in his 3 min program!!!

Google translate tells me it's Plush comment on Yuzu but I can't figure out what he said

Wow, what a morning. First I was super happy to see airport pics and medals (they're ok IMO, but Sochi ones were masterpieces so they looks weak in comparison). Then I read about his knee and I'm a little bit concened, but I trust they know what they're doing- well, it's mostly my trust in Brian Thanks God they will be streaming senior OPs this year, so we will see how is Yuzu doing

Wow, so classy. I'm impressed. Really. sorry I'm really lately I also want to join in with big thanks to everyone! Make love not war!

I will be in the process of moving in to new flat during the day and watching ACI stream during the night. I have no idea how I will survive it

2/3 Polish Eurosport commentators have skating expirience and when they speak about technical stuff (I agree it's too little) they are usually right. Only one is big Yuzu fan, but all three usually have very nice things to say about him. Female commentator prefers Javi. TVP commentators are commenting like 95% of sports they broadcasting and they talk mostly about technical things and history. But they are prone to mistakes- both small and big. I remember them calling wrong jumps and adding 110 PCS to Yuzu's TES score. Sometimes they will start talking about the past and forgetting names, even pople that are still active in FS (Zueva for example). They can gush too. At least about Yuzu The advantage of TVP is that you can watch competitions they have right to broadcast on their internet site in good quality for free and they had great coverage of Rio Olympics there so I hope for the same for Pyeongchang.

That depends. If he will retire after this season, then changes won't touch him. But if he will decide to stay a little longer, then BV changes will affect him. But as a fan of FS in general and not only Yuzu I'm really concerned that they are even considering changes like that instead of take care of the biggest and most glaring problem- judges that don't follow the rules and inconsistent TP calls.

But every sport has it's phenomen. Swimming has Phelps, athletics had Bolt. Normally federations try to milk them as much as they can, but it looks like ISU is going in opposite direction
-
I think they don't want skaters from asian countries to dominate the top like it is now. They want us and european skaters (like in 90's and early 2000's). But it's racist so they can't say it out loud even if this is what ISU thinks.

Yes, it results from my point 4. I should've write it in different order but I was half asleep I know they were talking about changes since then (I especially remember Lakernik's interview), but even in my worst thoughts I never thought they are ready to kill this sport just to show people that they are the ones with power. And I can be a very dramatic pessimist Yesterday I was just angry. Today I want to cry.

I personally see a few problems: 1) time. Competitions schedules are already packed with 2 programes per discipline and official practises. 2) audience. Will people be willing to watch it and spend even more money for tickets than now? It would require to make some audience studies. 3) broadcasting. Tv stations often don't broadcast whole competitions already. 4) at least at beginning I doubt many top skaters would participate since current format would be more prestigious and have more recognition. Like being a team event olympic medallist vs being an olympic medallist in singles/ pairs/ ice dance. But the gap would be probably even bigger. In conclusion I'm rather against this idea, but I can be completely wrong.

If it would work as extra prize/ medal (for example, athlete that got the most points on spins (level + goe) gets prize/medal for being best spinner) or something like that then I don't have anything against it. But I don't think that changing figure skating into gymanstics on ice is a good idea.

I promised myself I'll stop liking almost every post in this thread but you all have excellent points I'm so done with ISU There isn't any logic in what they say about technical and artistic sides in FS

I remember there was a post about it on tumblr during this off season I am as always late to the "new footage" party, but I'm not so sad about this time. He left out most of the things I was curious about from this RT. Is there the end to his trolling?
-
Last season we had skaters that train in TCC talking about Yuzu, this season it's Yuzu's coaches talking about him
-
Isn't gold on costumes considered as olympic jinx? Which channel is it? It sounds great!
-
It's so sad when athlete is leaving sport too early and /or because of health. I hope she will find something she will love even more than skating and she will be healthy.
-
But how much???? We cannot rest until we get exact answer! Can't wait for ACI. I want to see new costumes and how SEMEI 2.0 looks like

I menaged to watch Yuzu's segment in 24h TV today and it was super cute! It was a good thing that I did it after reading translation so big thank you to translator
