  1. Interesting photography effect when using slow shutter speed.
  2. Gift costume changes. Seriously though, Yuzu managed to switch costumes very swiftly. Behind the scenes at least one of staff san must be an expert dresser, not least costume, but the skates must be a significant challenges as part of the costume change. Some of the delicate fabrics and embellishments could be damaged or loosened, then cause problems if they fell off on the ice. Even a tiny crystal ending up under the skate blade especially at a crucial stage like jump take off could disrupt the movement. Back stage documentaries filmed at the Royal Ballet and similar, demonstrate how much expertise is required by these wardrobe technicians and dressers.
  3. Destiny is talking to us through the ages, this video dates form the 1980's, 8 years after the Olympic Gold for Curry. The spin starts as a classic camel at 1min 11s, 111. Then as the spin evolves, the supporting leg bends and the body and lifted leg becomes curved in form, like a bow - from archery. Yuzu's name means something along the lines of a taut strung bow. iirc Yuzu does not bend his supporting leg quite so deeply and the bow is more emphasised. If Yuzu is like the river spirit in One Summer's Day, Yuzu captures the essence of flowing water or air currents.
  4. John Curry skating Nutcracker also uses arabesque, this is not a comp programme though so is not representative of 'compulsory' movements. Nonetheless, JC with his balletic style is lovely to watch despite the poor camera quality. The beautiful fluid skaters have clearly influenced Yuzu in terms of languid, flowing movement. In the Valse video JC performs a spin which is not the classic camel spin and similar in form to the spin in One Summer's Day which was obscured by the dancer.
