hehehe. You are correct. Yes of course, there are TV programmes other than those featuring Yuzu !!! Came across a phrase in one of my Japanese learning modules, about someone's work in physics ushering a new era of study. I actually thought about Dr Sheldon Cooper and other characters from the Big Bang Theory show, including the cameo appearances by the late Professor Stephen Hawking Today it has been announced that real physicists at Fermilab may have discovered a new force in Physics affecting sub atomic particles called muons So maybe I will need the phrase which I have just learned after all, in order to be able to drop it into conversation just in case I ever meet someone who speaks Japanese and who also has an interest in Physics

You may wish to write a follow up article when the mood takes you or you feel able to express more. That would be great I replied to you on twt/ X / tXt yesterday and understand the sentiments very much. Like you it does feel as if fans are only able to 'borrow' Yuzu for a short time, when he chooses to appear or give fans a snippet of news. Yuzu has every right to privacy and the little that is shown for public view, is given as a precious gift. None of us fans have any right to place obligations on Yuzu to share his whole world with us, same for his loved ones. Apologies to anyone who feels differently. Naturally, everyone is entitled to their own views on the matter

Teaser trailer with English subs courtesy of Mocha A thousand thanks to Mocha It has been pointed out that there is clever word play with the word - kaiten, towards the end Yuzu performs a little twirl Two different words with different kanji and meanings but which are homophones, one means to start or open, like a shop opens (actually the second part of that kanji looks like mise, a store) and the other is rotation This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].

Very well Beatrice, I will do you as you request I call upon the Gods of Olympus and the Muses Daughters of Zeus and the goddesses Nike and Tyche and beseech them to come to the aid of Yuzu, that they will create a circle of protection around Yuzu and all those he holds dear and the Muses will inspire him and Nike and Tyche will ensure that all his endeavours will succeed. All of those creative ideas will inspire Yuzu to continue performing with great success

Hahaha !!! Yumi may be enlisted to help to 'manage' Yuzu. They could wrap him in a Swan bag if he gets too feisty

From past behaviour I would stick my neck out and defend Yuzu stating that Yuzu has not shown himself to have chauvinist feelings before. There must be public figures who have shown negative attitude and or behaviour towards women that she could have cited. It was a poorly written article imho
-
Agree these issues are important. In which case, as a writer well known for their feminist views, she is well placed to write an article which demonstrates that it is evidence based and thoroughly researched, with citations and references. the article would most likely have been well received. Please don't think that this is disagreement about whether or not articles about inequality should be written, of course they should and I have great respect for your vast knowledge base and opinions on the subject. The disagreement comes from the use of an individual to get the message across. By using Yuzu as an example of poor behaviour towards women, which he has not exhibited in the past, the article comes across as defamatory, even if this was not the intention
-
The saddest outcome of this episode is that Yuzu may decide that future magazine appearances will not happen. This kind of excessive criticism may force Yuzu to re evaluate his life in the public eye which opens him up to intrusive scrutiny and unwarranted criticism. It would be a complete tragedy if Yuzu decides to withdraw from public life altogether, skating and all. Fans really will be bereft if Yuzu announces retirement because being a public figure is not worth the trouble that it causes

Yes, correct, same applied to opera with male counter tenors, natural male sopranos, younger males whose voices had not yet broken and castrati sopranos taking on the female roles( of course the method for creating castrati was dreadful and the practice was eventually condemned, quite right ) because the performing arts, only permitted male performers. Historically, it was deemed unseemly for women to perform on stage, thus, it was necessity and accepted cultural practice to have male persons performing the roles.

Ah yes, well done and thank you for finding the article. It was most illuminating and interesting, because some ideas are constructs of the society in which people reside, knowledge about different cultures is enlightening. "O brave new world, that has such people in 't!” The Tempest, W. Shakespeare

Apologies, forgot the lip gloss swoons

Fascinating and aesthetically beautiful film. Thank you for posting There was an article about the differences between Western and Eastern cultures about the concepts of masculinity and femininity. Sorry cannot find the reference. The article wrote that male Japanese nobles were educated in certain feminine behaviours, as these represented values such as mercy, were seen as being cultured and well educated. The article was very informative and explained these concepts most excellently.

As someone old enough to have been a teenager and adored guys from the New Romantic era bands and those that emulated the look, read vampire novels by Anne Rice and that sort of thing, men wearing lace cuffed fencing shirts, velvet frock coats/ embroidered waistcoats and guyliner are masculine styles. Just different type of masculinity compared with someone wearing sports clothes or jeans and t shirt. There's barely any difference in how Yuzu has been styled for his photo shoot and the new romantic style of the 1980's (or the 1780's for that matter, hehehe) just a slightly different perspective as to what makes one thing masculine and another not.

A nice moment of calm, beautiful rice field art in the setting of a gorgeous summer's day It must be close to harvest time so there will only be a few more opportunities to visit the rice field to see this lovely sight
