Hmm, Wolfie looks a little ill at ease, is Piglet touching his waist maybe. Soohorang by contrast appears to be delighted, and just like Jun he is taller than the others, hehe

@Liary A thousand thanks for the message. This is both mysterious and welcome news, if it is true. Annoyingly P H**sch has an uncanny ability to access a reliable information source. Dear heavens, I was joking about a UK event, but if it comes to pass it would be truly amazing. iirc Ice Dundee in Scotland has hosted some smaller events in the past, but this may be wishful thinking, it might just have been UK National championships and / or Curling I have been monitoring the ISU website on a daily basis, checking for GP information. The events calendar shows the Britannia Cup tournament for Synchronised Skating is being held at Ice Sheffield, which demonstrates that the infra structure does exist. Could it be that BIS have been persuaded by the Delegation of Accountants to grant a boon to ISU and save the GP series ????? Feeling quite freaked out with my wishing now. After Beijing I sent a letter of support and some small cheer up gifts to Yuzu extolled about Ashdown Forest aka One Hundred Acre Wood, with the letter I included some links to medical papers about Sports injuries and ligament repair using Platelet Enriched Plasma, PRP and Stem cell info and hoped that he was being given plenty of high quality medical advice and input, for his consideration. Of course I wished him speedy and good recuperation and that he and his ankle were receiving the best possible therapeutic interventions and for great overall general health and healing. Maybe Yuzu fancies a trip to UK or Pooh san wants to visit maybe he wants to poke me in the eye with a blunt stick for being so presumptuous on health matters Knowing how the world works, it will be THAT man PH trolling us in UK with a tantalising hope raising crumb ('Curses come upon me' I'm going to be really busy on July 15th and may not be able to get good internet access throughout the day. It's my daughter's Graduation)

The costumes matched with the cocktails, just gorgeous, and Yuzu so cute too

Dear Micaelis, The memory of the JFK assassination must have affected you deeply, as you have described. I'm truly sorry to hear that the assassination of Shinzo Abe has stirred up painful feelings for you. Hope you will be OK Sending caring thoughts to you and a virtual hug.

Oh no that is a tragedy. Sincere Condolences and sympathies to the Abe family and the people of Japan
-
Terrible news indeed Hoping for positive news about Shinzo Abe's condition. His family and the Japanese people are in my thoughts and prayers.

Lightbulb moment!! Here is a bizarre idea: For years Satellites have been pondering the slightly peculiar clothing choices that Yuzu has been dressed in over the years There have been, baggy cardigans and jumpers, ruffly onesies, gold lacy night dress tops and the recurring ill fitting suits, the latest beige incarnation akin to the outfit of an 'ivy clad professor in ivy covered halls' (to quote Tom Lehrer). Even the official Team Japan Olympic suit jackets are not tailored to Yuzu's form, a case of one size doesn't fit all. Is it possible that stylists have been warned that a sharply attired Yuzu in figure flattering clothes would be the fashion equivalent of 'critical mass' of a radioactive substance The advertisers are perhaps issued with health and safety advice that should photographic images of Yuzu appear close to the reality of Yuzu, there is substantial risk to casual observers and Fanyus alike. Viewing such images of Yuzu loveliness, may induce symptons such as over excitement, inability to concentrate on activities of daily living, nosebleeds, fainting, inadvertent screams and dedding Hence the prevalence of frumpy, oversized, figure drowning, unflattering colours and even resorting to very questionable photoshop skin tones in order to portray Yuzu as a completely regular guy. So, when Yuzu appears in an advertisement and the clothing and/or hair and makeup choice elicits a "they made him wear THAT" response, just remember it's for your own good. Thank you for your indulgence
-
I'm in agreement with you The stylist seems to have put Yuzu in the wrong sized shirt. The fit is baggy and the arms too long. The navy shirt is possibly a continuation of the calendar photos, maybe. The colour looks smart on Yuzu, blue colour tones are flattering for Yuzu, he probably is a "winter" cool toned undertone to the skin As for the trousers, they are too short, as are the legs. I'm starting to think the lower body may not even be Yuzu's but some composite so that the image fit into the AR It is weird, because Yuzu has a very lissome, willowy figure. Normally stylists would make the most of a figure such as Yuzu's

Advert looks amazing, like the Augmented Reality and especially the way Yuzu apparates at the beginning.

Yuzu is the perfect figure for perfect figure skating Hoping that Sydney based Satellites are safe and dry. Sorry to see the flooding

This is very cute thread. Not sure about RJ1.0 and battered old Mater though

This artwork is fantastic. It's you that has a terrific gift for story telling. A picture tells a thousand words. Thank you for drawing the story ideas
-
Incredible fanart Sendai style. Demonstrates beautifully how appreciated Yuzu is, as Sendai's 'home grown' hero ( sorry for pun )
-
Thank you for explaining. All the different websites had slightly different sets of criteria for GP competitor selections
-
Apologies Reaching out to Satellites in Chicago and Copenhagen Terrible events on the news Hope you and your loved ones are safe, sending you caring thoughts to give you strength at this frightening time.

Good Good to know that common sense can prevail, kiitos paljon

@birnasan I understand the WS won't change as it's based on points gained through participation in comps and placements. What I meant was that as number 14, Yuzu would not automatically qualify for 2 GP events. As 3 of the top 12 now will not be competing Yuzu becomes the 11th in the queue to be picked for 2 GP events. Correct he can also be given a 2nd GP spot if NHK host selection gives him invitation. There is still a risk that NHK may choose Yuma or Shoma, as they are favoured by JSF. Financially, it would be madness to allocate only one GP to Yuzu. The GP event and GPF hosts would potentially find their events commercially non viable, plus loss of broadcasting rights and sponsorship incomes. ISU receives a cut from these events. However, they have demonstrated very poor and suspect decision making in the past. Hopefully, it will be 2 GP events plus final for Yuzu
-
Yuzu essentially moves up the GP ranks, due to 2x taking a break and 1x ineligible due to nationality
-
So Yuzu would move up a place in terms of GP series and being offered spots at the events, although he will not be seeded skater Did not know anything about Jason's plans before your posts, thanks
