It's not the complete layout of the competition, he eliminated the first three jump elements, and in 3S he did a step out, but that's okay. The important thing was the 4T. And, to a lesser extent, the final 3Lz, as he had several problems with the final triple lutz that season, both in the free skate and in the short program. After winning Skate Canada 2019 and 4CC 2020 he had talked about the fact that there were some competitions that he hadn't won, some things that he had to complete. He's doing it now too, he's rewriting positive memories over negative ones from the past. He did it with Rondo at GIFT, he did it with Phantom now. And he did it with Notte stellata two and half weeks ago, and with Requiem on his channel. There is no one like him.

You're welcome. I'm afraid I'm a nerd on these things. I transcribed all his layouts to check the changes he made from time to time, adding difficulties or sometimes improvising after a mistake.

Yes. In the 2014-2015 season Yuzu wanted to open the second half of the program with the 4T+2T combination, but at the Cup of China there was the incident that we all know and for the rest of the season he was never healthy enough to try to do three quadruples in the same program. He had to postpone that layout to the 2015-2016 season and to SEIMEI (even if in SEIMEI he did 4T+3T, and put the 2T in a combination with the 3A). He did that 4T on 14 February 2022 in the first free practice in Beijing, but it was practice, with no audience beyond the rink staff. In GIFT he tried to do that 4T, but after Ashura-chan he was tired and put his hands on the ice. This time he completed the 4T perfectly. True, he didn't skate the first minute of the program, with 4S, 4T and 3F, but in shows it's quite rare to see an entire free skate. And none of the other skaters came close to the quality of what he did.

I too hope Max is right, it would be a nice way to remind everyone that Yuzu is Yuzu and why we follow him so passionately. Apart from that, Yuzu has skated so many programs that if he wanted he could do a different one every day and there would still be a lot unskated.

It took a few more years than expected, but he finally managed to make that 4T. I hope that with today he has managed to put all the bad memories aside. The moment when he spreads his arms on layback ina bauer is overwhelming.

I too have seen a number of comments that seem excessive to me. Yuzu is 28 years old, he is not a child, and he has amply demonstrated that he knows how to use his brain. If he has agreed to participate in SOI, he have his reasons. This is enough for me.

I've been a fanyu for long enough now (January 2019) to have seen quite a few absurd attacks. For me any gratuitous attack on a person makes no sense, an attack on Yuzu makes even less sense due to his generosity and sensitivity. But nonsensical comments about the scores are one thing, attacking him when he just wants to share the pain with tons of people is… I don't even know how to describe it. I could actually write many things, but since you too have self-censored yourself for diplomatic reasons, you are able to imagine what the tone of my comments would be.

To read that Yuzu has been attacked in some way for a program that just wants to share the pain of a tragedy that has affected so many people is terrible. Not even on the pain the haters leave him alone. I hope that the fact that he made the video for us and shared it on his channel means that the problems are overcome, and that he is feeling a little better. The 11th was a painful day.

I think everyone who watched Beijing live started to feel the same nervousness of the competitions Yuzu entered the rink for warm up. I know that I felt the nervousness of the competitions every time he was about to do a quadruple even in the SharePractice, and that the final SEIMEI was really intense. It's actually a very common sentiment. We've all been impressed by the skater, we all agree he's the GOAT, but we also probably all agree the man Hanyu Yuzuru is far more amazing than the skater.

I echo the others, thank you for this wonderful video.

It's the beginning, the moment when everything is possible. The start of a program then, the start of a new journey in life now. Beyond the difficulties, beyond the disappointments, what you have done over the years and what you are continuing to do now is extraordinary. Your path is beauty, it is courage, it is love, it is inspiration. Follow your dreams, Yuzu, and be happy. Happy Birthday Martina from Italy (Sono stata io a fare il disegno, quindi non ci sono problemi di copyright).

After the Men's short program I've written a little about the PCS. If you're interested... Warning: the contents can cause pain in the liver. https://sportlandiamartina.wordpress.com/2021/03/25/world-championship-2021-judges-in-the-mens-short-program-the-components/

Thanks for your welcoming. I've appreciated a lot all the translations Japanese-English and I know how much can be frustrating to see something that seem interesting and can't understand it because of the foreign language. So, if anyone want to translate in English what I write, he can do it freely.

Hello. It's my first post here. I knew the site before, I've read a lot of very interesting things but for me to read in Englis is much more easier than to write, so I've never written anything here. Now I've followed a link in my blog and I've come in this forum. If anyone have some question about my articles because Google translate don't work well, feel free to ask me, I will try to answer (hoping that my English will support me). For the problem of the language, Beverley Smith has written "Some potential judges may fall afoul of the ISU requirement that all communications be done in English." She has written her book in 1994 (my copy was updatend in 1999), but I fear that the language is still a problem.
