There was a documentary once showed that Yuzuru read Kuroko no basuke. And Yuzuru once said he liked the anime "The girl who lept through time" and "Summer war". Those were good.

I think he certainly has watched at least some

parts of Yuri on ice. But given his taste until now, I doubt the story of yuri on ice is his taste.

Zhenia gave Yuzuru a birthday present before the camera broadcasting to the whole world. She isn't shy. I am not surprised if she bombarded him with talks about Yuri on ice. But I guess she doesn't tell him she ships the characters in "that way" so hard. Lol

I think Yuzu does know  and maybe watches it, since he is a figure skating nerd, wouldn't he be interested to know how anime depicts his sport? and he really wants more people to do figure skating, anime is one of the way to promote it too

Of course Zhenia might have bombarded him with talks about Yuri on ice. Maybe he has watched the whole season. But I doubt he likes it much. Cause his taste is more like Ghoul Tokyo.

Plushenko isn't the best male skater in my book. If I take out the consistency and judge quality in both jumps and skating, he definitely wasn't the best in all categories. Plushenko, however, along with Yagudin, were the best competitors of their era. The matter is, they stayed on the feet and won the medals when it counted. That's why they're legends. That's why Yuzuru has to learn from them. With all the qualities Yuzuru has, isn't it great that he can learn from Plushenko and Yagudin how to dominate more? It's time he has to learn from their mentality. 

It's just the same as I don't see Michelle Kwan as the best female skater in the history but she technically is a legend who has influenced many generations of skaters.

At some point I really wonder if Yuzuru really exists...

Guys, we will have NO video of Niigata at all? NONE? Even just after several months, will they release any videos at all? 

Is it just me or the camerawork for Figure skating in both competitions and ice shows have become quite lame recently? Last season there have been many competitions in which the cameramen decided "we want to try out some creative shots". Like Cup of China, GPF, 4CC and WC. 

And now we have FaOI Kobe... even worse...
