Nah, it was choreographed well before Yuzu moved to Toronto. Yuzu skated it in 2011.

[2022] Grand Prix Final (Juniors and Seniors)
Fay replied to sallycinnamon's topic in 2022-2023 Grand Prix Series
Ok, watched junior ladies, pairs and men yesterday. Junior Ladies - missed Mone very much. As such, this was a very junior outing, with the exception of Hana Yoshida, who is last now. Mao is adorable, but still very young and juniorish. Pairs - happy about judges putting MK first. They were considerably cleaner and more cohesive. Men - that was a bit underwhelming, but happy about Sota having another clean SP. -
Happy Birthday, you dear Yuzu! May your life be always happy and fulfilled!

This is Russia. Providing drama for the whole world. Unfortunately.

So, this is the most contentious bit: She claims that an athlete can only grow when he/she doesn't feel like the only star in the group, but has competition in the group. Fair enough, she cites Brian Orser's 2015 team as a good example and claims he doesn't not find it necessary to give in to the ever-changing world of stars, since Brian had two male star skaters, Hanyu and Fernandez, back then. And then comes this: So, summing up: Hanyu behaves like an arrogant git, does some weird things while on the ice, and his hard work is all down to Javi's presence, otherwise he wouldn't have been working as hard. https://www.sport-express.ru/figure-skating/reviews/935498/

I’ll translate that charming extract later on, it’s worth reading!

I understand, but not everyone clings to their grudges the way that woman does. She never misses a chance to diss Yuzu whenever she can. At least Phil did not invent stuff about Yuzu, Vaits did. My favourite comes from 2015 review of a Grand Prix event (French GP, if I am not mistaken, when she called Kikuchi Yuzu’s fengshui expert. And claimed that Yuzu was unnerved by seeing dead flies on the arena.
-
Not quite. Phil is not an old woman holding a grudge and was able to write quite a lot of complimentary stuff on Yuzu. Vaits managed to turn a story about Yuzu’s win in Pyeongchang into a story how great Nathan Chen is.

They say he refused to give an interview to Vatsekhovskaya long ago. Since then she has been concocting quite a lot of myths about him.
-
I believe he liked it because the interview is long and contains a lot more than that revelation that Dai is more popular than Yuzu. Most of it is pretty interesting, though there are points which make you roar with laughter - not just the point with Yuzu, but also the impression the whole interview makes that Kana is an encumbrance and Marina would have Dai dance alone, whereas in fact it is Kana who is the stronger half of the dancing couple, Dai is sadly technically very much basic still (no wonder). The interviewer matters too. It’s Vaitsekhovskaya, the woman who has held a grudge against Yuzu for years now and manifests it whenever possible, but at the same time she knows that if she puts Yuzu’s name in the title, the interview will get more hype. It did, even people not interested in dances like me read it. But most Russian readers just laughed at most of it. It’s too ridiculous to be taken seriously.
-
I’d advise not to make such a fuss over what Zoueva says. The woman has always promoted all of her students with most ridiculous claims, she’s just doing it once again. All she deserves is laughter, in this respect. In fact, she ends up saying Yuzu is better as a skater, just happens not to be “first”, ergo, not as popular. Which anyone with half a brain functioning knows to be false.

So far the young Janna has bewitched everyone, hasn't she?

Watching the pairs. Well... not the best, but interesting.

My dear Planet and my darling satellites, ever so sorry for being so long away. Afraid personal life has been hell lately, but Pro-Athlete Yuzu has always been my pillar of strength and beam of hope these days! Hope to be able to participate more in the discussions from now on!

We might be reduced to fan pictures of the show yet again.

Welcome back, Yuzu, Keiji and Nobu! Have fun in Nagoya!
-
It’s on a local TV channel, right? Which means we won’t be able to see it?
-
That’s live Show Must Go On, right? No, it is not, but it is a live record, nonetheless. A hard song to pull off.

A Rippon lutz was nice. And spoofing the girls’ obsession with it!
