This is ridiculous - even if the members of illit ignored her, how is that the fault of Hybe? We can hope that someone on the committee asks some real questions about mhj. I know there is a deep seated resentment in the K-pop word against BTS and Hybe, but Korea also values hard work and success. BTS is the best thing to happen to the Korean economy in a decade. I cannot believe that mhj will have enough influence to alter the MAMAs, but we will see - she really wanted to shake up the industry but, realistically, one group and some backers isn't going to take down BTS. Missed the Live, of course. I saw that the headband was sold out - but have never seen this treatment of the song...

If it really is about completeness and concept and not sales, RPWP would be the obvious choice. But it won't be.

What is the vendor for these tickets? Your experience is totally unacceptable. After the tickets are all sold, I'd write them and let them know that you were bounced around like this. There's something even more frustrating about this than being in a TM queue where it says more than 5000 people are ahead of you. More praise for Lost -

It's my understanding that Coldplay makes quite a number of tickets super inexpensive. It might be a contest-y type thing,, but they do want to accommodate fans who can't afford big prices. Yoongi is not confirmed tto be in the little clip of video of someone getting CPR, and his back anyway. May have even been an exercise --

I'll watch the Asian Ent video to see what she says about Yoongi. No surprise that this product has tea leaves in the ingredients. So many Korean skincare products do. No actual toner, though. Innisfree is produced on Jeju and uses mostly green tea (and I do like their mineral sunscreen that was less during the last Prime Days than it is in shops on Jeju). I can't believe I'm taking skin care advice from a 31 year old genetically blessed Korean. And @Old Cat Lady, I oddly don't think of the JK "duets" as duets. I wouldn't listen to them if it wasn't JK. He didn't need any help on Seven or 3D. (I just read that Seven was originally written for Justin Bieber - guess that would be from Scooter.)

Article about RPWP at Busan, and evidently they were mentioned at the 50th anniversary of the AMAs - and Wootteo is still hanging with Coldplay. https://deadline.com/2024/10/bts-rm-right-people-wrong-place-busan-doc-2024-premiere-1236109270/ https://www.pinkvilla.com/entertainment/bts-honored-at-american-music-awards-50th-anniversary-show-with-iconic-boy-bands-one-direction-nsync-and-more-1352514

Sweet (but not unexpected) - Namjoon's parents at Busan. They must be so proud. https://www.threads.net/@nusrat7869/post/DA0hLVyzF1O?xmt=AQGzDKlu3V8XGIkwq4Gap8uHMhvS3_TI3P1vLopfB0Hz-Q

I am a little surprised that the soldiers can attach what they want to on their official military backpacks. Maybe those are all new additions since he gets out next week It's a little frustrating to not know what they are allowed and not allowed. Like, was Jin able to bring his own pillow? Or bring RJ? (maybe a little one -)

A mixed bag of posts (with a really unimportant one showing what one of the things on Hobi's backpack is_) And how can Jimin's release be topping the records set by JK? And a thread, if you can follow it, regarding Namjoon's doc. https://www.soompi.com/article/1693137wpp/btss-jimins-who-becomes-his-1st-solo-song-to-spend-11-weeks-on-uks-official-singles-chart https://www.threads.net/@armyteamforbts/post/DA0wIVOTWpr?xmt=AQGzy1C6boQGqN0eXE-jvpQYLpBPMo1OWL5ovmocjjGVVg

It;s raining in Busan (and I thought it had already premiered, too-) - he's concerned ARMY will catch a cold. "SEVENTEEN's Jeonghan has officially begun his mandatory military service, embarking on his national defense duty as a social service agent. On September 26th, Jeonghan reported to the training center, where he would first complete his alternative service before fully enlisting." Same kind of service that Yoongi has. And I'd put money on that YouTube video is not ALL the deleted scenes. We probably only saw about 20% of what they shot....

Jimin keeps on staying on. (has anyone tried to move their feet as fast as he does in this?) And I don't even remember this trailer for the Astronaut, which has almost nothing to do with the actual song or MV.

I wonder if there will be increased difficulty levels. I don't play video games but it's seemed to me (who knows nothing about it) that the whole thing was/is geared to the younger set. If that's the case, they probably aren't too tricky. Ease might be the reason he hasn't engaged with it. But just a guess.

Looks like Jin hasn't been busy enough - he'll be Live on In the Seom - https://www.instagram.com/p/DAvCbZOipLs/

I would personally pay amazing amounts of money to have his skin. Unfortunately, none of these great products will turn my face into one of a flawless, young, genetically blessed Korean.

I think it will depend totally what category it's in - alternative? It's not very "pop" - but so brilliant. And it's impossible to actually put SNTY next to Lost in the MV category and pick one over the other. One is all pop and in English. The other a masterpiece. (I think "Who" would be in the same category as SNTY - but again, not really remotely similar to Lost.) Also - Tae really fits into a jazz category. Hobi is also "alternative" but, as much as I love his album, he is the one here that I feel solidly won't get a nom because it's not anything most of the Grammy voters would be able to relate to. I guess we'll see - but I hope that OT7 gets not only a nomination but a win when they release new stuff (probably wouldn't time-qualify until 2026).

The most telling Chris Martin quote in what is a Rolling Stone article (it's the "threads" post i posted earlier) is "And there’s cameras everywhere in their world." When I wonder if it's the genuine them we see, like in In the Soop, or even Are You Sure?, which has far more intrusive camera crews (I think - because I do think that In the Soop was mostly put together from the cameras that were all over the place and only some of it shot by cameramen), this puts it out there that there are always cameras around and they probably got used to that many years ago. I realize there is so much we don't know about the members and their interaction when there are no cameras around, but feel more confident that what they show us is genuine. We don't get it all, and I'm glad that we don't (because they should have their private lives) but what we do get is real.

Unfortunately, it is the Grammy members who do the voting. Every single one of those deserves a nomination but I'm not holding my breath.

A list of them all -

Agree about Jin and his airport appearance - there weren't maassive crowds so I suspect it was mostly media there - but it does indicate that someone at Hybe is leaking... A new SuperTuna coming out and more stuff - Mang!!!! The second one is a bit about My Universe - https://www.threads.net/@dalbitbangtan/post/DAtER36uaR1/?xmt=AQGzYayCidIHs7t23S5yf2tFU1ntDdQQM-dcd9nSLa-qxQ

This isn't going to be live until tonight but thought I'd post it anyway - particularly interested in whether she thinks there is an "oversaturation of the girl group market", especially in light of how much time and money HYBE has put into Katseye. (Also very pleased that here in the US, special council filing released - and hoping it sinks in to the drinkers of the kool-aid..)

I think the Jimin birthday is coincidence. I suspect that there will be a Jin announcement by late October and they are trying to drop one thing at a time. And was this a Weverse decision or the theatre group? (And Hobi home the 17th!!!!) From Jin's latest RunJin - I know that tigers figure prominently in Korean folklore....
