Okay, well... it's been a pleasure watching Yuzu for the last four years with all of you. No matter what happens in the next few minutes, we're all supporting Yuzu together. I'm glad to have you all here with me, though. Edit: grabbed my Pooh bear that was supposed to be a WC 2020 tossie but ended up being clutched during the 2022 OWG. It just feels right.

Oh man. I just woke up in the middle of the night, checked my phone, and saw this? One thing’s for sure, I won’t be going back to sleep until after that press conference. It’s going to be a long night tonight, that conference is 4 AM my time. Whatever it is… well. I support Yuzu. And nothing can last forever. But I don’t have good vibes about this given the timing. (But I’m in denial. It can’t be over just like this, can it?)

It’s warmest in the summer (so it’s the most expensive time to keep the rink going) and also it’s not as disruptive for skaters trying to train during the season. It’s when all my rinks do it too.

This is normal - every ice rink has to melt the ice and do maintenance on their equipment occasionally. Most rinks (at least the ones I’ve skated at) of do it every year. Yuzu’s used to this, I promise you.

Oh wow. This is totally different from what Yuzu's done before, and it's so good. (Also WHAT is this about him just... putting on his shirt in front of a TV camera? I am shook. Remember at the beginning of FaOI when we were all in a tizzy because of a visible shoulder and some ab flashing? How far we've come!)

Sadly it's in the definition of a sequence that you have to step directly from the landing curve of the first jump into the take-off curve of the Axel. So this wouldn't count in competition. It does look cool, though.

Also, LOL at all of us being surprised at Yuzu’s muscles. He’s a three-time Olympian who has been the dominant force of his sport for close to a decade. Of course he’s got muscles.

Every year I forget about the absolute torture of waiting for footage as information slowly gets released about ice shows. You’d think I’d have learned by now. uhhhhhhhhh Yuzu has gone wild from the sounds of it

Yuzu said he loves America in Johnny’s video. I am American. Hence, Yuzu would want me to be happy and have alllllll the footage. It’s just basic logic.

In the US it’s 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school, then 3–7 years of residency (post-graduate specialty training) before you graduate. There is no shortening of the track for primary care specialties like Family Medicine, Pediatrics, or Internal Medicine. Obviously Nathan could continue to skate during college, but medical school and residency are incredibly demanding (think an average of 80 hours a week), so he won’t be able to do both. I’m an American physician and residency was the most exhausting time of my life, hands down. -

My coach started me on brackets today. Apparently they weren’t bad for a first try! The exit edges are a bit flat but my coach said that’s normal at first, and we’ll work on getting them correct. Of course, I won’t have any chance to practice them for three weeks because of Worlds. There are worse problems to have, I guess.
