I hope Yuzu verifies his account as soon as possible. That should also be helpful regarding the search results. And, as you said, he should get someone from his team who is experienced in PR, marketing, social media and such to work on the SEO. I searched for the term "Hanyu Yuzuru はじめまして" and even here he only comes in third. The first two are re-uploads. It's really frustrating to see people abusing his popularity and stealing his content for their own gain. But hey, this is really one more proof for Yuzu's incredible popularity. Even though his official channel doesn't even show up in search results when you search for his name, he has already reached such a huge following on YouTube. That's incredible! He's now at 286K subscribers, 32K comments, and 1,012K views.

You're right. This is certainly also the case. Many people who are not necessarily Fanyus and don't follow him closely, but just enjoy his skating and/or like him as a person would also watch his videos and subscribe to his channel. Talking about Yuzu's power and influence, I'm also in a fan forum that has absolutely nothing to do with figure skating or even sports. The topic is entertainers and showbiz. In the course of the last couple of Yuzu's comps, I found out that there are actually quite a few people on there who know of Yuzu and enjoy his skating. They don't care about figure skating in general and in fact only watched comps when he was participating. In other words, they only watched the sports because of him. He's also the only figure skater they care about. And these are people from all over the world, too. This is the level of Yuzu's popularity. The view count of Yuzu's video just breached 1 million!!! And he now has 285K subscribers!

I'm pretty sure this is exactly what happened. It's morning in China now. Many C-Fanyus probably got up and the first thing they did was to take YouTube by storm. It's incredible. Within just the last 5 or so minutes, the subscribers grew by 2K. It's now at 283K subscribers and 990K views. ETA: Yuzu already overtook the ISU by miles!

LOL! I don't know if someone already posted this. It's too cute! Watch Yuzu break all records of new YouTubers starting a channel. He'll have to reserve another room in his home for all the YouTube Play Buttons (and giant socks to store them in) he's gonna get. If Chinese Fanyus could access YouTube, I'm pretty sure he'd already have over 1 million subscribers. But I've already seen a couple of Tweets saying that C-Fanyus are working on accessing YouTube.

I'm sure Fanyu translators will continue to do their amazing work. Yuzu might actually hire professional translators and subbers for his videos, so he can reach a bigger and more international audience. By the way, I think the number of Chinese Fanyus who will get VPNs for themselves will skyrocket, since YouTube isn't available in China.

And his reunion with Pooh-san! That's the love story of the century. I already subscribed and liked his first video. To think that I've had a YouTube account for many, many years with a Yuzu pic as my icon and now Yuzu actually has his own channel!!!

I hope this is not true. I really hope Yuzu doesn't get involved in politics in any way, especially when it comes to such a sensitive, complicated, and historically difficult subject as the relationship between Japan and China. But I'm not concerned, since the source is questionable, as somebody has already mentioned. And I believe that Yuzu is someone who is very sophisticated and educated about what's going on in the world. He is also conscious and discerning about what he wants to focus on and should and should not get involved in.

This is such a pathetic excuse for not using modern technology. If anything, the use of technology and AI speeds things up significantly and measures everything with much greater precision than humans could. Therefore, there's hardly a sport that hasn't introduced modern technology in decision making or at least to support humans in making decisions. Let's get real. The only reason why the ISU is so resistant to the introduction of new technology is the fact that they would lose their power over scoring the athletes in any way they like and picking their preferred winners of competitions.

This sounds like a must-have for Fanyus! But according to the comments under the post, it's already sold out even though it won't be available until September 29th... I hope they restock or just produce larger quantities to begin with. [NEWS]

I think this is a new one. I haven't seen this before. Yuzu seemed to have fun at the rehearsals. The woman who recorded the video is cooing over him all the time, saying how cute, how sweet, etc. That's so relatable. [NEWS]

Yuzu is absolutely incredible. We also have to take into consideration that the average NBA player does NOT spin 3.5 times in the air when they make a leap.

I'm pretty sure Prime Minister Pooh will grant this honor to the person who rescues him from his exile in Canada and returns him to his beloved Yuzu.

I highly doubt Yuzu will lack funding, should he really wish to undertake such a project, or any other project for that matter. Quite the opposite. The sponsors would line up and dump truck loads of money on him. And rightly so, since a good Yuzu documentary could generate huge amounts of income.

This is such an awesome edit! I would love to watch this kind of documentary about Yuzu. I hope someone, perhaps even Yuzu himself, will produce a high-quality documentary about him, his life, and his career. The script would basically write itself.

Yuzu could try to sneak into the exhibition together with ToshI. I also believe that putting up an official website would be the best choice for Yuzu. It's very unlikely that he'll get into social media. He hasn't needed this kind of validation until now and he probably won't in the future.
