This also tells me that Mishin probably knows how close Yuzu is.

It's good to hear that he's excited. [NEWS]

I think the unfair judging system might be the main reason why Yuzu started to take such an interest in AI technology for scoring figure skating. Throughout the years, especially during the last quad, he has probably been the most screwed over skater and got constantly underscored while certain other skaters got overscored. I'm afraid the ISU will fight the implementation of new technology with both their hands and feet. But the existence of a working AI scoring system is already a big step forward. It shows that this kind of technology is ready to be used and not some far off theoretical idea. Even though this AI won't be used to score the competition at the Beijing Olympics, I think the organizers will still use it, even if it's just to try it out and show the extent of their technical prowess. Hopefully, they will also publish the data for the whole world to see. This gives me hope that judges will be under more scrutiny during the Olympics. I have a feeling that Yuzu will keep competing for a few more seasons. I don't think he would want to bow out without getting at least a couple more rounds of thundering applause and cheers from full ice rinks and Pooh rains.

I love how Yuzu is getting an all-star team of legends involved in his quest for the 4A. He's a true leader who knows how to inspire the best people to support him.

I can't even imagine the pressure Yuzu must be feeling. It's no wonder that he's anxious about it. But if there's anybody who can overcome his fear and be the best he can be, it's Yuzu. He has already experienced great disappointments and injustice and he has come back even stronger. I believe he's so focused and has such a strong mind that he can blend out all distractions when it matters. Stay healthy and happy, Yuzu! We are always with you no matter what.

I believe most judges - and the ISU - know very well that Yuzu is superior in every way. After all, judges are trained to see these things. If even we as normal fans can see the obvious differences in quality, then trained experts must see them. But unfortunately, it's one thing to see and know that Yuzu's quality is higher and another thing to actually act on this knowledge and give him the rewards he deserves. I think this is the reason why the ISU is so reluctant to introduce any kind of modern technology to aid in scoring and judging. The more technology is used, the more objectivity there is. This means that the ISU, certain feds, and judges would lose the power to shower their favorites with candies and give them preferential treatment. I wonder how the ISU will react to the AI technology for scoring figure skating that was recently launched. How much longer can they hold on to their corruption and power games with the existence of such tech?

I'm sure Yuzu would have a great interest in this technology. Please note the sentence "...thus, achieving stable and visualized competition judging." The question is, would the ISU and various national feds even be willing to implement fair and unbiased judging and scoring? After all, this kind of technology would take away their power to manipulate competition results according to their will and preferences.

And Shizuka is right! Yuzu's accomplishments will never go away, just like we will always love and cherish him no matter what. [NEWS]

Chinese gymnast Yile Chen is not only a Fanyu, but also a Yuzu fan artist. Amazing! Her fan arts are really nice. These elite gymnasts really have good taste.

This is so funny! Without a doubt, Yuzu has great popularity and great presence in social media without even having any social media account. I sometimes wonder how many followers he would have if he did have an account. I think probably dozens, if not even hundreds of millions.
-
I agree. Yuzu has gained so much experience in training and coaching himself in the last few years that he will be perfectly fine even without coaches by his side. Either way, he knows what's the best solution for him. I think perhaps this is also a precaution for him to come in contact with as few people as possible. With the Omicron variant spreading so fast and the Covid restrictions being so strict in China, every athlete has to be extra careful. It must be so difficult to prepare for the Olympics while doing everything you can to avoid getting infected. This is a lot of stress for every athlete on top of the pressure of competition. If there's anyone who can handle this enormous pressure under these difficult circumstances, it's Yuzu. Let's send him our love and positive energy and hope and pray that he stays healthy and happy in every way.

Yes! Yuzu is really someone who restores my faith in humanity and reminds me that there is good, beauty, and joy in this world again and again.

The technology is already there. But I doubt the ISU would be willing to use it for fair, unbiased judging.

Wow! All these meals look very nice! I wanna eat this food, too! It's good to know that Yuzu has been eating well.

The life of a Fanyu...

I really hope Yuzu can be the best skater he can be at the Olympics and make his dream come true.
-
It's so great to see Yuzu getting all this support from such excellent world class athletes.

Lae also tweeted about a Fanyu among the invited audience at the Olympics. Yaaay! This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].

Using his spare GPF gold medal as a coaster to drink his hot chocolate in style...
-
This really sucks... I hope you can at least watch competition replays.

Yuzu's other beauty tip to get beautiful skin like him: Put all your gold medals inside the fridge for an hour. Then put your two Olympic GMs on your eyes, your two World Championships GMs on your cheeks, two of your GPF GMs on your forehead, and one GPF GM on your chin for 15 min for a relaxing face mask while doing image training. (The fourth GPF GM can unfortunately not be used for this purpose because it's made of plastic.)

And these are the international time conversions. All the super early local starting times just to pander to the NBC. That's gonna be a couple of all nighters. And apart from the sleepless nights, the worst thing will be that I won't be able to cheer and scream for Yuzu in the middle of the night.

Paraphrasing of Yuzu's Sekkisei talk. He's such an inspiration. Yes, it's always rewarding to do and learn new things even if it might be difficult in the beginning. I think he's already a wonderful dancer with his unique style. [NEWS]

I'm also sad for Han Yan. To think that China only has one men's spot for the Olympics... I do hope that we'll see him at international competitions in the future. Perhaps grand prix or challenger events? His skating is truly beautiful and I'd love to see more of it.

They were having so much fun! It's good to see Boyang so happy. I hope he'll have a great home Olympics!
