It's admirable how much thought and effort Yuzu puts into his programs and performances. That's why his programs and performances are so special. You can really see, hear and feel that Yuzu isn't just about completing his jumps, spins and other elements. He tells stories on the ice. He paints pictures. He evokes emotions in people. This is the reason why people watch a single performance of his and always remember him and fall in love with him and his skating. [NEWS]

Let Yuzu put a smile on your face and rays of sunshine into your heart. I've never seen this before. How cute! The fanart of this moment is also adorable!

This is so sweet! I hope Yuzu can feel all the love and support from so many people all over the world. Get well soon, Yuzu! [NEWS]

Well, they're only speaking the truth.

I agree. The ISU, certain feds and some media outlets are trying to fabricate a new star with Yuma like they've been trying for years with Nathan. Guess what, it didn't work with Nathan. And I believe it won't work with Yuma either. Now, in Yuzu's absence, they're trying to create a new "exciting" rivalry between Nathan and Yuma in order to boost the audience's interest. The media always need drama and produce drama for the sake of attention. That's what they're trying to do here: create artificial drama in order to attract attention. What they don't get is that the kind of attraction that Yuzu generates is not due to marketing, promotion or media hype. Yuzu has this huge number of loyal and committed followers and fans because they see something in him that no one else has. People can see and feel that Yuzu is genuine and honest and puts his entire heart and soul out there on the ice for the whole world to see. This is what inspires people. And this is something that cannot be created or fabricated in any way. Let's not forget that there are many official bodies and media all over the world that are actually aware of Yuzu's influence. For example, the Beijing Olympics organizers definitely know that the figure skating competition, perhaps even the entire Olympics, would lose a lot of interest and intrigue without Yuzu's participation. That's why they've been sucking up to Yuzu so much and want him to participate so much. I'd say in China, Yuzu is probably better known and more popular than the sport of figure skating. There are also other media who know very well how great and popular Yuzu is. Just think of, as far as I remember, Greek, Turkish or Brazilian media and TV reporting about Yuzu even though figure skating is totally obscure and unpopular in these countries. There are certainly many other such examples. In these places, Yuzu is bigger than figure skating. I'm sure there are many fans who only started to pay attention to and watch figure skating because of Yuzu. Another example of how Yuzu draws more attention than figure skating itself is that the Sportschau Video of his LMEY performance in World 2021 became viral, got over 2.5 million views and is the third most popular video on the Sportschau channel on YouTube (at least for me, a few videos might be geo-blocked), even though hardly anybody in Germany cares about figure skating anymore. That said, I think all this hype surrounding Nathan, Yuma, or whoever might be the darling of the day, might actually turn out to be of advantage for Yuzu. This way, he's not so much in the spotlight and can focus in peace on his recovery and doing his own thing. Besides, he has nothing left to prove to anybody. He and his skating are far above all this petty infighting and politicking. I wouldn't be so sure about who will win the Olympic medals anyway. The way skaters like Nathan or Yuma are being pushed, it also brings a lot of pressure and expectations. The media hype will only get worse in the next few months until the Games. Who knows what will happen until then. No matter what Yuzu decides to do and when he decides to come back, I'm certain that he will delight us and show us wonders that we'll cherish forever.

This is such a cute and touching comic about Yuzu's journey to making his dreams come true, one after another. We know he will also achieve his next great goal. And we always support and cheer him along the way.

The truth and nothing but the truth. That's why the Olympics organizers are sucking up to Yuzu so much. They desperately want him there.

If Yuzu does compete in the CoR, I hope he only does it fully fit. But I do believe that he wouldn't compete unless he has fully recovered. I don't think he necessarily has to skate his new SP in a competition before Nationals. Last year he debuted two entirely new programs at Nationals and skated both of them perfectly clean. I think given Yuzu's experience and outstanding level of skills, he's gotten to a point where he can master new programs even without having to go through a pancake phase. To be honest, considering Yuzu's superior quality of skating and jumping, even if he only has triples in his programs, he should still easily win this competition if he's more or less clean. I trust that Yuzu makes the right decisions for himself. Only he knows his body and condition the best. Let's be patient and wait for the return of the king whenever it might be.

I believe in Yuzu and trust that he makes the right decisions for himself. He's been in this business for so many years. He wouldn't have been so successful if he didn't have the mental strength to withstand not only the pressure in the athletic and competitive area, but also everything else that goes on like media, politics, antis, rumors etc. And he's always been very smart about focusing on himself by staying out of social media and such. He doesn't have anything left to prove to anyone and he knows that. I'm sure he won't allow any outside party and their agendas to influence him when it comes to his person, his career and his actions. I'm confident that regardless of all the noise that's going on, Yuzu will stay centered and focused on himself and his own desires, wants and needs.

I wouldn't be surprised if they'd start to organize lotteries for tickets to see Yuzu's costumes... I hope you'll get to see the costume at the next opportunity!
-
The Chinese fed would welcome him on their hands and knees, especially considering how popular Yuzu is in China, how even official media see him as a role model and how much importance the Olympic Committee for the Beijing games puts on him. Of course Yuzu would never represent any other country than Japan. You're right about NBC. But it's not just the Olympics. If Yuzu should r*****, NBC would lose in general. And of course the ISU. They'd be the greatest losers, not only morally and ethically as they are now, but also financially once cash cow Yuzu is not there anymore.
-
He could represent Pooh's Forest. But seriously now, if Yuzu wants to compete in the Olympics and is in shape to do so, he will get his spot.
-
Aaaw... This is such a nice gesture. There are so many people praying for Yuzu's recovery and wishing him well. I hope he can gain some strength from all that love. I'm sure the OP will use this travel agency again.
-
Just Yuzu things... Only he can do this. And he looks like he's taking a relaxed stroll in the park.
-
This is so cute! Poor Yuzu! But fortunately Pooh is there to comfort him. It's alright, Yuzu. Everything will work out in the end. Take good care of yourself and get better soon!

After reading all these news about Yuzu's new SP, I look even more forward to it! I'm sure it'll be another masterpiece that was carefully crafted with love, devotion, attention to detail and the highest artistic skills possible. I have to say that after watching a couple of figure skating comps this season so far, I have only seen a few programs that I really like. I was actually quite disappointed by the programs of some of the skaters that are seen to be favorites to win a medal at the Olympics. Anyway, I know Yuzu's new SP will certainly tick all the boxes in my figure skating loving heart. And I really look forward to seeing Yuzu's new SP costume! Again, it's bound to be amazing and outstanding. Regarding the 4F, I'm actually not even that surprised because Yuzu did mention in an interview that his dream was to land all quads in one program. As crazy as that sounds, I'm sure if there's anyone who can do it, it's Yuzu. Besides, didn't people watching 2019 FaOI report that Yuzu had jumped a 4F? I just hope Yuzu gets perfectly healthy again soon. He must be so disappointed that he won't be able to show off his 4A and his new program at NHK Trophy. But I believe in him and I trust that he'll come back even stronger and make his dreams come true. All the best, Yuzu!

He's gonna collect instruments like he's collecting jumps.
-
I admire Yuzu's determination to achieve his goals and make his dreams come true. It takes such strength and courage to not only dream big, but to achieve and go for your big dreams and make them real. He'll have many chances and a lot of time to do all the other things he still wants to do. I look forward to Yuzu playing an actual guitar and not just air guitar. Imagine him doing a CiONTU world tour (Please, Yuzu!) and not just being a rockstar on the ice, but also rocking it on stage with his guitar! [NEWS]

Hopefully Rika will recover fully and get back to perfect health soon! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that she will have a great second half of the season.

I bet that's the kind of complete and utter chaos Yuzu would love to cause. Just imagine if he really did that, all the journalists and people in the audience would probably be stupefied for 10 minutes or so and then the whole place would become a total madhouse. That would crash the internet and Yuzu would become number one trending in social media all over the world. But joking aside, I just watched the men's SP of the Grand Prix in Italy. I was reminded yet again of how incredibly long-lasting, stable and consistent Yuzu has been for the last eleven years of his senior career. And before that, as a junior. Apart from winning so many competitions, I think Yuzu has been on the podium in almost every competition he's ever been in, including big ones like Worlds. I don't think there has ever been a competition when he completely bombed. Neither has he ever had a phase in his career when things just didn't work out for a notable period of time. Bombing from time to time and having phases with low form are things that happen to basically every single athlete in every sport. That Yuzu managed to stay consistently at the very top of his game over such a long time period - especially in a sport like figure skating in which short careers are the norm - is beyond outstanding.

If there's one thing that I've learned in all the years of stanning Yuzu, it's that somehow, the Universe seems to give him the greatest pain and grief, but it also seems to pave the way for him to achieve his greatest triumphs and in such a way that surpasses anything there has ever been before. Who knows what's possible for him yet. If Yuzu makes a speedy recovery - and I'm still hoping that his injury is nothing serious - I believe he will compete in Japanese Nationals. Either way, I'm pretty sure if Yuzu wants to compete at the Olympics and if he sees himself to be in the mental and physical shape to do so, he will probably get his spot. As of now, the most important thing is that he allows himself the time and rest needed to recover. Get well soon, Yuzu! Let's all try to stay positive for Yuzu and send him our love and support. According to Google Translate, the tag means "May Yuzuru Hanyu's injury be healed"

I just saw the news. Poor Yuzu! It must be absolutely devastating for him. He had looked so confident about making his dream come true. And now this... All I can do is hope that it isn't a bad injury. Unlike the last couple of years, Yuzu only has that one goal of his own as his focus. So, I just hope it means that he's not pushing himself and this is rather a precaution more than a sign of a serious injury. In the statements he sounds quite kuyashii and ready to go back on the ice again. I hope he takes it slow and lets himself recover fully before going back to his training. I'm trying to be positive and see this as nothing more than a delay for him on his road to making his dream come true. I hope he gets all the love, support and care he needs. All the best, Yuzu! Take good care of yourself and get better soon!

Yes! Congratulations! That's so exciting! Have fun and enjoy every moment of it! I believe you will witness a great moment in sports history.

Congratulations! This is amazing! Getting tickets to figure skating competitions in Japan is so hard! I think that even many more people apply when they know that Yuzu is participating in an event. Just imagine, you might very well be able to witness the birth of the 4A live! Actually, I feel like you will. I really have a good feeling about Yuzu succeeding. He seems quite confident about it. Woohoo!
