Yuzuru's chance of competing until 2022 Beijing Olympics
AkaneYamashina replied to cinemacoconut's topic in Yuzuru Hanyu
He being cautious about a lot of things that's why he's being mum about it (Which is really wise. By talking less about your plans, the chances of succeeding is much higher)----But if you're going to ask him in private, he would probably say yes, so long as he feels that his body and overall condition can still keep up with his ideals and vision by then. The fact that he wants to master all quads---says a lot. He's far, far from being done. -
I've been mumbling earlier this week that I would only go to a Grand Prix comp if they're gonna include Italy in the circuit... And then I find out that GPF's gonna be in Torino.... well then...

I won't be surprised if he has a hidden Belles-lettres somewhere over those pages of kuyashii. I'm a sucker for Junbungaku (pure literature). And ever since I've read about Yuzu's family, I've been even more determined to follow to their footsteps. That no matter what position you have in life, always treat others as your equal and with the utmost respect. Money and fame is not the root of all evil. It only amplifies who you are. If you're a jerk, you become an even bigger jerk. If you're kind, then you'll only become even more generous. It's probably been said here for the nth time, but Hanyu Yuzuru is the one and only pure Bourbon vanilla in this entire Universe and he must be protected at all costs.

He's such a simple man. *sighs in contentment* But yeah, after a long day, it's really nice to just gather around with the whole family and catch up. Pretty sure he doesn't have much time to bond with his Dad, Sister and Grandparents. ;A; And don't tell the overlord, but that metal frame looks better on him than his usual black ones.

St. Peter: You planned this well, didn't you? Yuzu: *blinks* *scratches nose like a cat* I'm sorry. All of us: STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHPPPPPPPPPPPPP

I'm sorry, but I just had to. Just imagine what Yuzuru Era is gonna be like.

Poll: Yuzu's new ultra low Hydroblade - Did he kiss the ice?
AkaneYamashina replied to Danibellerika's topic in Yuzuru Hanyu
Oh my!!!! I've been looking at it frame by frame but my vid got low quality. It was obvious that he lowered his head, but still!!!!!! MAHHH HEART MAHH SOULLL *screms aaaaaaaaaaaa* He really is a romanticist huh. Well of course he is. He's an artist! -
It's gonna be fabulous, I bet.

@WinForPooh Uhh, I'm sorry. By hollow you mean?

I'm very curious to this man's definition of "bland music by Western standards." Does he want a fanfare? An ice musical perhaps---where Yuzu would sing while he skates? *eye twitch*

I understand why I'm crankier than usual today. I'm already having a Hanyu withdrawal syndrome. As for WTT...Will Shoma be okay? He really looked down during the Gala. I'm quite concerned.

Poll - When/How did you become a fan of Yuzu?
AkaneYamashina replied to PomeloPooh's topic in Yuzuru Hanyu
I've been hearing the name Hanyu Yuzuru for so long, but I'm way too focused on the AsadaMaoxKimYuna era at the time. Or more precisely, I only followed the women's division when it comes to figure skating. So then, one day, comes this video in my YT homepage of Yuzuru, fixing Winnie the Pooh's scrunched up face. I've always loved the bear and was a bit surprised that someone shared the same obsession. (Basically I also have a lot of Pooh stuff, but it's nothing compared to Yuzu's Pooh forest.) Clicking on that tsundere video was the best thing I've done in my life. It's really weird idk, because I don't think I would really notice Yuzu if not for Pooh. (I wasn't too gung-ho with the idea of males dancing gracefully on the ice. It's a bad prejudice I know. Please forgive me. TTnTT) But BAM! Here comes this sweet-looking boi who proved me wrong. His passion is fiercer than any warrior's, yet he can still pull off elegance and beauty with his bird-like stature. (One more thing I am most fond of: BIRDS) There's no other word for it; he's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Yuzuru embodies well his namesake and he is able to ignite the fire in pale, forgotten hearts. I have not yet had the priviledge to see him in real life that I sometimes wonder if he's real. Perhaps I'd still think of the same thing once I do get the chance--that he's made out of sunshine, raindrops, moonlight and stardust. More than anything, Yuzu's changed my perspective in life. I'd rather hide than do half the things that he does. I admire his strong will to tread that rough and treacherous path towards his dreams. And even when he's reached those heights (he will probably go on even higher), he never forgets to thank all the people who supports him and remains humble. I deeply respect him. You will never see another man like that on this planet or this entire Universe ever. It is such an honour to be alive in the same era as he.- 249 replies

Maybe it's just me, but I find the image of Yuzu holding a blue umbrella under the rain--quite lovely. ;A; Aimer's Ref:rain suddenly played in my head. Thank you for sharing this

I'm so, so happy that's he alright. Get some good rest, young lord!

I've always loved Yuzu's intense expressions. It gives so much depth to him as a person. You know damn well just by seeing that glare--how deadly serious he is in everything that he does. Idk, it's just a plus plus plus plus plus infinity plus for me. As for Origin, I don't see it as something dark or ominous in any way. On the contrary, his costume looked like a sparrow's. (On the day of ACI's men's free skate, I actually found a baby quail who's plumage resembled his costume and i just kept loling when I saw him don it) So please don't sue me when my imagination just rolled in. Especially his pose in the very beginning. It seemed to me that he is depicting a young bird, quite nervous and elated at the same time--taking his first flight.

I won't dare cross that stern shh But he's right, we should treat the rink as a sacred hall.

Speaking of Italy. Have you guys heard of Andrea and Matteo Bocelli's new song: "Fall On Me"? (Ost from Disney's new film The Nutcracker) It would be nice if Yuzu skated to it someday as one of his EX. I think he'd be able to relate to it.
