The forum is so quiet tonight. Guess everyone is catching their breath after the whirlwind of the last 24 hours.

Well, if you think about it, both Johnny and Plushy had kind of long, mullet-y hair when they did their programs so.... ... I said it first. Yuzu mullet by the time the GPF rolls around. I mean, Jason went short so someone has to go long, right?
-
They both look so serious. I confess I'm not only looking forward to Yuzu's programs, but to all the TCC skaters this year. I really want to see how being there has affected Jason's skating and I can't wait to see Zhenya, she was already looking different and better during the ice shows so I suspect I'm gonna be wowed.
-
In one of the clips today, he specifically said these programs were meant to go back to his beginnings for a new start. Basically I took that to mean "forget the last eight years, now just watch THIS!"... instead of meaning 'hey I think I might be r-wording'.

Our boy has a good point there. No point doing it if there's room for people to diss his execution of it. And by the way, I've just officially given up on trying to keep up with this thread. twelve hours ago it was at 38 pages...now it's 56...I can't do it, I tried but the rest of my life also needs my attention...

I would love to see Yuzu do that kind of "fast feet" thing. He hasn't done anything like that since H,ILY.
-
That last bit. *Jumps for Joy*
-
She probably took it in stride, then went home asking herself "Why me?"
-
He absolutely did that. But does anyone else find it just slightly weird not to see Javi gliding by in the background? I do. Feels like something's missing.
-
He looks healthy, happy, and even a little bit tanned. I'm pleased.
-
Looks like he has plenty of room to draw in his arms and tighten up to produce a faster rotation and get that extra revolution in...at least to my amateur eye...
-
I'm not sure that he is this time. I think he's being honest. He's simply planning to drop a 4A on our heads sometime soon, and it's nice of him to warn us in advance, so we can order our wigs before our hair falls out completely...
-
And thank God for that. Anyway, my thoughts on the music: I'm willing to trust Yuzu on the Nijinsky, and I know he'll make his SP awesome whatever the music is, but I can't help feeling a bit disappointed that he went for yet another classical piano piece for it, especially right after doing Chopin. I was hoping for a complete change of genre and tempo etc. That being said, I know he'll make something good with it, so I will await ACI with hope.
-
Talk about pressure...it's like Yuzu deliberately goes out and looks for it. So extra though.
-
It's not good to speculate about this. Yuzu is on the record as saying he would have done whatever it took...even if it caused him further injury.
-
be optimistic. Yuzu is finally free to spend the next four years skating any dang way he pleases...you think he's going to let an opportunity like that pass?
-
Second article: oh wow According to my Google auto-translate, this one says he's been training the quads already and hopes to do 4A this season. At first I thought it said he's been training 4A but it's unclear.
-
Clicked through the photos at the bottom of the article. It makes me so happy to see that they had to start a second panel for their Olympic winners, and that Javi is the first one on it.
-
Oh God he looks so beautiful. Clearly he's been working on his lines. Looks like ballet. Also, my computer gave me the best auto-translate fail just now. It translated the caption of the main photo as "Hanyu Knitting Public Practice"

Word. Honestly that post by Phan makes me feel rather sorry for Yuzu today. Also, guys, it occurs to me that this might be a bit of a media week at TCC, rather than just a day. The CBC did their bit on Stephen yesterday, today the Japan press are doing Yuzu. I can't imagine the Russian media are planning to leave Evgenia alone if there's footage to be had, and there's also the US (Jason) and Korean (Jun) media that might want a piece. It would be logical if Brian and TCC have just decided to have everyone in on the same week. So , hopefully, maybe, you never know, we might be getting quite a few stories.

Stop being the voice of reason darnit! I want to scream and flap my arms and jump up and down in excitement, not be sensible.
-
...umm, yeah... legs. That's it. That's the part those pants show off...legs. That's my story and i'm sticking to it.

Brian trying to coach his athlete through the glass, computer, and however many miles in between...

Team we're fewer but still good!

I love these photos. And I like the two of them. However, maybe other satellites can correct me if I'm wrong here but...ever since I watched their duo number from FAOI this year, I keep having this little sneaky feeling that Stephane is still the better skater...I hope I don't start any fires by saying that but does anyone else see it? -

That'd be some kind of record! She'd be 39...it would probably make her the oldest female skater at Olympics ever, if she did it. I hope that she does. Oh my. You know who's going to be wanting to try this next, right?
