I have to admit that despite my being wrong about ACI, I'm still betting on Nessie coming out sooner rather than later. Having just watched PJ Kwong's interview with Shae-Lynn where they both mention having seen him do it, I'm even more confident that he's going to bring it the second his physical condition allows. Therefore I'm now moving my vote to CoR. Helsinki may still be too soon

This. I was thinking this too. He looks more the man in Origin, as opposed to the boy. And I even think Otonal is less androgynous than previous outfits and more masculine, though still elegant and pretty in that delightful Yuzu way. I also feel like the costume conveys a sense of Plushenko's influence still, without being too literal about it. Plushy's competition outfits often had that feeling of hidden, contained fires within, ready to blaze up in a second with right breeze... that's the feeling Origin gives me. It's the smoldering, searing coals of a carefully banked fire, just needing a whisper of air to fan into flames

I passed him on the way to the bathrooms. He's a very tall kid...I'd estimate 6' 3" or 4". It's wonderful seeing the very tall guys move around on the ice. They have what I can only describe as wingspan...their arms stretch out so far they're like beautiful cranes in flight

No. We actually walked in as the two ladies whose stuff had been moved were haranging the arena's customer service staff and threatening to call police. It seems they had left their stuff unattended for hours so some other line-waiters thought it would okay to move it....when they came back and saw their stuff had been moved, they freaked out and wanted to call the police because their stuff had been touched. I can understand the situation but leaving belongings to reserve a place in line is a bit unheard of here. You either occupy the space yourself/have someone occupy it for you, or give it up and move to the back of the line. In my opinion, this was as much a cultural misunderstanding as anything else

Just a little field report from ACI: Evgenia looked incredibly beautiful, healthy and strong, won the SP, and I don't know what to think of the new scoring system. It takes the judges forever to tabulate the scores and the marks themselves seem very low across the board.

I'm taking my stance on an early 4A with the caveat that it depends on his physical condition. But I say that if he's able at all, he'll do it ASAP. Boy's trying to be Zen, but my gut says he really really really wants to be first.

Where's the option for "so overwrought with excitement and apprehension that my stomach is flipping over and I'm thinking this can't be good for my heart"? Seriously, guys, my nerves are out of control right now...it's making it hard to pack/plan for the trip. First world problems I guess, but still.
