I have a couple of thoughts on this topic: 1. The 'poor taste' thing - I'm not surprised that Barbara is hearing this, based on what she's told me about some of the circles she (and especially her daughter-in-law) moves in. Without getting overly political about it, there's a whole class of people in North American society who refuse to acknowledge the idea that sometimes, through no fault of their own, people need help. 2. @Faithyu is right - you shouldn't have to ask... people should be asking you if you need help 3. This is a problem that exists because there's no universal healthcare in the US.... 'nuff said. 4. Whether someone helps out a friend in need, or not, has very little to do with their material means, and way more to do with their mindset. You're either raised to be giving or raised to be selfish, that's it. Go Fund Mes help to find the givers.

Yesterday some K-ARMYs were being toxic on Weverse about JK's dating rumours with some chick from Aespa and about how long the album is taking. It caused ripples among I-ARMYs on X, so it must have been pretty bad. I'm guessing Namjoon was talking about that nonsense.
