  1. Actually, based on the post on the TCC Instagram site, it sounds like they aren't even going to be in the same hotel. So much for shonen shenanigans....I was envisioning them having a lot of fun challenging each other to do harder and harder things on the ice.
  2. Oh there's a recipe for chaos. Yuzu and Shoma cooped up together for 14 days straight with nothing to do but practice? Can you just imagine what'll come out of that?
  3. Just say 'Hanyu-sensshu' or 'Hanyu-kun' and they will understand immediately, I'm willing to wager. Pretty sure Yuzu's quest for 4A is definitely a better love story than Twilight Flying to the US and crossing the border by land would at least eliminate the mandatory 3-day hotel quarantine, if not the 14 day regular quarantine. But he'd still have to convince Customs to let him in in the first place. Even if he doesn't listen to it, Queen is so iconic that there's no way he wouldn't know at least a couple of songs. But Japan has plenty of great rockers he could use. #11. Message In A BottleTo the ISU I think it's also not out of the question for Beijing to either disinvite Canada over the Meng case, or for Canada to boycott the Games for the same reason. I could see that morphing into 'Han Yan-chan' sooooo quickly.... or just 'Han-chan'.... perhaps, once she arrives, we should give her the respect due such a grande dame and call her Duchess Axel. Or perhaps Axel-dono, 'dono' being equivalent to 'Lady
  4. Thanks. I love "LemiEn", it sounds like 'Let me in!' which of course is what Yuzu wants the judges to do, let his skating into their hearts.
  5. Amen to that, I want to be packed in an arena with 5,000 other screaming fans cheering for him and raining Poohs upon him once again.
  6. Well, and it's pretty sad if he also thinks Russian folk music wouldn't be popular either. I suppose that means Tchaikovsky is out, so no more Swan Lake. There was literally a pairs couple in 2019 who re-enacyed a whole big battle from Russian history, that no one else knew, on the ice AND scored high for it.
  7. Well, for that matter the Planet's nickname for it is Nessie. I wouldn't be surprised if Yuzu ends up calling it Yon-chan, tbh.
  8. Yon Kaiten Axel, actually. As in "回転", the kanji for 'times turn' Literally '4 times turn' . I don't know why that makes me smile, but it does
  9. replace the flop with Lady Loop, maybe? Definitely not Lutzifer.
  10. SkAm will be in Vegas again, right? I say if Yuzu goes there, we all go too and paint the town red after that 4A.
  11. well, he does have that KOSE contract to think about, after all. Incidentally, has anyone tried to do the Pooh rain for the Astrid Lindgren? I just tried with both my bank account and 3 different cards and I can't get the transaction to complete. To do the transfer from my bank, my bank wants information that isn't on the Donation page, and the teddykompaniert donation site won't accept any of my credit cards...I swear, it never used to be this difficult to send money to Europe...urgh. Must de-stress with rocking Yuzu...
  12. He didn't really perfect Chopin until 4CC last year, so he had good reason to keep on doing it. Some pieces of art are like that. others, not so much. I don't know if he'd bother changing his SP for next year, or not. LMEY is a pretty decent program on it's own, and it gets the job done. But he may want to convey a different message for next season, who knows. I doubt he'd do two programs that are similar in tone or theme. He seems to like having a contrast between the SP and the FS. So if he keeps Ten to Chi to, which I think he will, I doubt he'll go classical or lyrical in the short. If not LMEY, it'll be something else with a more modern and perhaps more 'western' theme. Although, I'd love to see him cut loose with his anime-loving side and do something crazy based on one of his faves. Cruel Angel's Thesis, anyone?
  13. I think it depends on what kind of a professional Yuzu is referring to. I'm not sure he actually meant a doctor, he could have meant a physiotherapist or other kind of body work practitioner, and it might be someone with a specialty you can't find in Japan yet. For example, fascial stretch therapy or some such
  14. We do? you mean this guy --> ? I thought someone had made one out of the actual video of him swaying...
  15. I think Yuzu's done with Otonal. The last time he did it, it was pretty well perfect and I don't know if there's anything more he can wring out of it.
  16. It's not like TCC is the only rink in Toronto. He could still skate with them and rent rink time elsewhere. That being said, there's a ton of restrictions around using rinks right now in Ontario, and in Sendai Yuzu pretty well has private ice whenever he wants. IMO it just comes down to what has the more importance for him - the benefits of all the supports he has at TCC, or the luxury of a rink all to himself all the time?
  17. All of that actually puts the Olympics into question, TBH.
  18. anyway, one thing is certain: even if these events take place, none of them are likely to have full audiences allowed, which means any tickets going will be in very short supply so trying to get them is going to be a bloodbath.
  19. What are the odds Yuzu would go there? If I recall, it's not that big an event.
  20. I personally think CoC is going to be the hot ticket this year, especially if it's being held in the same arena as for the Olys, because people will want that warm up event. Yuma and Nathan might both pick it, unless that's against the rules - I can't remember right now. In any case, Nathan would be silly not to, if it's being held in Beijing. however, if it's in some other random place, Nathan might not bother. *** On another note, did anyone else take note of what Yuzu said about his skating (beyond 4A)? He said "I'm still improving". In fact, he said it twice. He was at pains to make sure that point got across. He's not r******g anytime soon, not until he's good and ready. And I can't help but feel that he was trying to send a message to JSF and the ISU, which is that they'd be fools to write him off just yet.
  21. I was actually thinking last night about how ironic it would be if Yuzu went to Beijing because he hadn't landed 4A yet, got the 4A, and won the 3rd gold in the process, more or less unintentionally. And how much it would be like something that would happen to Yuzu. As for Nathan, I don't want to make any predictions about how he'll skate in Beijing, but I do think that what we saw in the free skate here at Stockholm is the best he's capable of - and he only accessed that level of his skating because he felt his back was against the wall after the SP. This is a pattern we saw at PyeongChang, too. IMO Nathan is still and will remain beatable for Yuzu, because I don't think Nathan really knows how to pull his own strings the same way Yuzu does. Once again, it comes down to the mental game. If Nathan's not feeling desperate, he isn't going to be able to pull out that highest level of his skating at all. Whereas Yuzu brings the goods every time.
  22. If Yuzu kills us all with 4A at ACI, we really be dyin', though. There are not enough ambulances in the GTA to cope with a mass fanyu extinction event.
  23. Not going to.lie, originally the reason I started going to comps was because I wanted to witness the 4A with my own eyes. I've since learned the meaning of 😨fear. Fear of wild Yuzu set loose.
