  1. You can use that link to buy the bottle and send it to Japanese proxy address. Proxy can ship it overseas to you. The buying process is a little tricky as you need to register as ANA Mileage Club Member first (using the Japanese proxy address), then link ANA shopping website to your ANA Mileage Club membership. Here's the post on using Japanese proxy:
  2. Try going through this thread for trustworthy proxies when details are out about online goods sales
  3. Reminder about 3.11 campaign starting tomorrow (JST)
  4. Personally didn't see any such wording and hopefully it's not common. I don't think there's anything wrong with fans querying why Naomi was the final torch bearer as it didn't fit the recovery theme of the Olympics (earthquake or pandemic). Even on JPN twitter quite a few people didn't think it fits the original concept which admittedly has morphed from many artistic director changes. I've followed Naomi's career since her breakthrough at US Open, super happy for her after a tough year but still I really don't think any of the speculation is directed at Naomi, more at the organisers and commercialism. Sadly, cynical me is hard agree with this. Ask any of the big 3 whether OGM >>>>> Grand Slam if they could only choose 1 and I'm pretty sure all of them with pick GS.
  5. Is there a prize for guessing correctly? Almost the same except instead of CoC, I'd go for SCI. Asian Open is more likely but ACI is also possible if Yuzu wants to train in Canada for early part of season. I think GP assignments will be driven by money this year - it's no coincidence that SOI and DOI are co-organised by JSF and sponsors increased for DOI once Yuzu was in the line-up (not saying he doesn't want to do it, he probably does). More than likely NHK will request Yuzu for same reason no matter what JSF politics are. Also traditionally NHK is assigned to the JNats champion not necessarily based on WC placements which are skaters' preferences.
  6. Please note that the source is Josei Jishin who have stalked Yuzuru and taken paparazzi style photos. Please take it with a grain of salt. Also may I suggest if someone wants to read it to take a screenshot rather than giving clicks to the link (even if it is via yahoo news).
  7. If you have LINE app, you can also search "3.11" on LINE. Details in: https://news.line.me/issue/1f2ed12bc413/7ec1857e3597?utm_source=yahoo&utm_medium=fund&utm_campaign=20210304&utm_content=fukko_about
  8. This is a very thoughtful project and reminded me of a comment from someone who lived in one of the affected areas. In 2019, Japan House in collaboration with Japan’s Reconstruction Agency invited an NPO from Rikuzentakata to talk about their organisation and activities. One of the founders of the NPO said (paraphrased) – despite all the reconstruction of the past 8 years, the rebuilding of the community was just beginning. She expected it would take even longer and was more challenging due to mental fatigue, people never returning to the area or outsiders “forgetting”. The NPO, Riku Café, was set up in 2012 to promote activities for mental and physical well-being in the community mainly targeted at the elderly. To find out more about their purpose and activities: http://rikucafe.jp/about-english PS: some of you may recall having seen a photo of a single pine tree surviving the destruction of the tsunami, this area was the nearby city of Rikuzentakata.
  9. there's more money involved with Worlds - they'll try to hold on to it until the last minute.
  10. Entries to JNats close on 24 Nov so I think we will hear soon whether Yuzuru plans to compete or not. Same tbh - it's not in the interests of large Feds or ISU to implement objective judging system.
  11. According to Noto-san's tweet, they opened pre-orders early since the book size is non-standard and they wanted an estimate of numbers for the first print run. You should be able to eventually order from Amazon JP if you don't need a copy immediately after the book's release! I also noticed this around mid-March. I think Amazon JP changed it's pre-order policy for international shipping 🤔 . Didn't have any issues with purchasing books after release date.
  12. Good luck with the tix! I believe fans are still clarifying with the organiser whether part of the merchandise proceeds will be donated to reconstruction efforts (as distinct from "merchandise sold at exhibition")
  13. Mao's Thanks Tour was around Y3000 (inclusive of fees) for the livestream. At the moment, it's not clear whether the PIA livestream requires a PIA account to purchase ticket - if it does then it will be difficult to access from overseas as you normally need a Japanese mobile to set up an account. Mao's livestream was sold through a different platform. Since DOI will be aired live on TBS CS channels, an alternative may be to take out a 3 day subscription to one of net tv providers. Depending on the provider you select it's probably about USD 5 for 3 days access and some providers allow you to download after the live TV ends - note that you'll probably need extended channel list to access the CS channels. I don't want to post the link but a google search should come up with the net tv providers. Generally if one can afford to splurge on the Y7000 - and providing PIA account is not required - I would encourage supporting the official livestream so that ice show organisers will consider this for future shows by making it more accessible to overseas audiences. (Preparing for future shows when Yuzu attends )
  14. First pic? that's a print introducing the exhibition! The painting is less than A4 size
  15. Thank you for the translations! Recently finished watching the anime and read the manga arcs following the anime season-end - really enjoyable, particularly the character development (dare I say better than YoI.....)
  16. Partly speculation and partly experience with other country's visa requirements: Rika would have entered Switzerland on a visitor's visa; Shoma would be wanting to apply for a work or study visa. If Shoma had started the visa application process before travel restrictions, he won't be able to enter as a visitor without invalidating the work / study visa application. The only thing you can do in that situation is wait for the original application to be processed.
  17. if i read the original information correctly it is sent with orders of the exhibition book (until stocks of sendai booklet runs out, first come first served). There'a another way to get the Sendai booklet - I think this is easier if you are based in Japan - the tourist centre will send it out to you if you apply and send in stamped self addressed envelope. The instructions are here: https://www.city.sendai.jp/contentsoushutsu/sendaimeguri_senyousaito.html The site seems to accept international credit card - at least my order was confirmed, so you may want to try Tenso which is a forwarding service giving you local Japanese address and phone number. It might work out cheaper than proxy. Disclaimer: I haven't used Tenso for a couple of years but it worked fine in the past. Happy shopping!
  18. The situation will be more clear when they announce whether the Australian Open tennis will go ahead or not in late January 2021 (or how it will go ahead) - 100x more international visitors and $$$ involved than 4CC. Even if the tennis is allowed to go ahead, unless Yuzu goes to 4CC - my expectations are low - I wouldn't be surprised if Australia FS decides to cancel due to the cost involved of staging the event.
  19. If the ISU Awards doesn't get enough views, dare I hope they don't repeat it?!?
  20. ISU and the govt were responsible for letting the event go ahead; research shows the areas where much bigger events held in the same week did have more Covid cases https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-52797002
